Aman Nai Lert Bangkok is set to open in April
Aman Nai Lert Bangkok, a new urban sanctuary in the Thai capital, will open in April. The 52-suite hotel will be home to an exclusive Aman Club, dedicated spaces, a 1,500-square-meter Aman Spa & Wellness center, and multiple dining and socialising venues.
With reservations now open for stays from 2 April, Aman Nai Lert Bangkok brings the brand full circle from its 1988 launch of flagship property Amanpuri in Phuket and provides a gateway to Aman's 24 hotels and resorts in Asia.
The 36th property in the Aman collection, Aman Nai Lert Bangkok, epitomises every aspect of the brand's hospitality and revered DNA of peace, privacy, and unparallelled service.
The hotel is designed by Jean-Michel Gathy of Denniston architects to integrate details of the century-old Nai Lert Park Heritage Home with contemporary elements.
Custom-made products by local artisans and antiques honor the elegance and simplicity of Aman's emblematic design ethos.
Speaking about the property Vlad Doronin, Chairman and CEO of Aman Group said, "Thailand has played a significant role in the history of our brand and the latest evolution, Aman Nai Lert Bangkok, will offer a unique connection to the rich heritage of the city. This is enhanced by our close collaboration with the Nai Lert family, in particular Naphaporn "Lek" Bodiratnangkura who's involvement and support has ensured the property reflects the legacy of its incredible location. Further, Aman Nai Lert Bangkok represents another milestone in our long-term vision to introduce the exceptional Aman experience to urban destinations as well as providing a strategic link to our properties across Asia."
Aman Nai Lert Bangkok introduces Aman's trademark serenity to an area renowned for its energy. The hotel's contemporary urban sanctuary features a restaurant and gathering spaces across two distinct floors, including a light-filled central atrium and reception area, an 1872 lounge bar, signature Italian restaurant, Arva, poolside bar, The Pool, and an infinity swimming pool overlooking the green canopy of Nai Lert Park.
On the 19th floor, exclusive to Aman Club Founders, there is an open-air terrace with skyline views, two restaurants, an atmospheric Aman Lounge, and Cigar Bar. Founders will also have access to the hotel's state-of-the-art wellness facilities.
The 1,500-square-metre Aman Spa & Wellness will house both a medical clinic operated by Hertitude Clinic and an Aman Spa. The Medical Wellness by Hertitude Clinic will include eight private clinic rooms, one examination room, an IV Lounge, and cryotherapy chamber. On a separate floor, the Aman Spa will offer an extensive range of hydrotherapy facilities and movement spaces.

Dubai's Ultra-Luxury Property Market Hits New Heights
Dubai's luxury real estate market continues to defy global trends, with Driven | Forbes Global Properties completing the sale of the final two penthouses at the Bulgari Lighthouse for a combined total exceeding AED282m ($77m). The deals reinforce the emirate's status as one of the world's most resilient and in-demand ultra-prime residential destinations. The first penthouse, a five-bedroom residence spanning 11,657 sq ft, was sold for AED146.6m ($40m), while the second fetched AED136.25m ($38m) —both among the highest-value apartment sales recorded in Dubai this year. Designed by acclaimed Italian architects Antonio Citterio and Patricia Viel, the Bulgari Lighthouse is located on Jumeirah Bay Island. The tower features a coral-like façade, panoramic views of the Arabian Gulf and Downtown Dubai, and interiors finished with Italian marble, hand-laid silk panelling, and warm oak accents. Each residence includes private infinity pools, double-height salons, and expansive terraces, merging resort-style luxury with urban privacy. Every detail is curated in partnership with the adjacent Bulgari Resort Dubai, offering owners hotel-level services—from private chefs and curated events, to concierge-managed experiences. The landmark sales were brokered by Lina Allaoa and Kianoush Darban, founders of The Private Collection at. Known for consistently setting area records—including the highest price per square foot and most expensive villa sale on the island—the duo has become synonymous with Dubai's high-end property elite. Lina Allaoa said: 'Dubai offers our international clients two things they value most: a secure place to allocate their capital and an unbeatable way of life. Bulgari Lighthouse unites those advantages in a single address, blending sound investment with everyday opulence'. Kianoush Darban added: 'Scarcity drives value. With fewer than 40 residences in the tower, and amenities that rival a private resort, Lighthouse is arguably the most coveted address in Dubai.' Their success is emblematic of the wider market. The emirate recorded AED62.4bn ($17bn) in real estate transactions in April 2025, a staggering 95 per cent increase year-on-year, driven largely by demand for trophy waterfront homes and limited-edition inventory. Analysts expect this ultra-prime momentum to continue into 2026 as supply remains tight and international capital continues to flow. Thailand Shuts Border Crossings with Cambodia Following Deadly Military Clash
Thailand has temporarily closed two of its border crossings with Cambodia to tourists, following a deadly military clash that claimed the life of a Cambodian soldier, reigniting tensions between the two Southeast Asian neighbours. The closures, which came into effect on Saturday, were implemented as a precautionary measure after the fatal incident that occurred on May 28 in the volatile "Emerald Triangle" region—where the borders of Cambodia, Thailand, and Laos converge. This area has long been a hotspot for territorial disputes, and while both countries have maintained diplomatic ties, occasional outbreaks of violence have marred their relationship. The recent clash adds to a series of skirmishes that began in 2008, which have so far resulted in at least 28 fatalities. Thai authorities said the border closure is aimed at ensuring the safety of civilians and tourists as tensions remain high. Meanwhile, officials from both nations are reportedly in communication, seeking to de-escalate the situation and avoid further conflict. Security has been tightened along the border, and the temporary closure is expected to remain in place until stability is restored.
