Donald Trump faces backlash after social media post supporting Pam Bondi

Source: X/ Donald Trump Sometimes intentions don't always translate into results. Former U.S. President Donald Trump had hoped that his post on his social media platform, Truth Social, would help quiet the noise surrounding Attorney General Pam Bondi's involvement in the Jeffrey Epstein memo controversy. But it didn't happen that way. In his candid post, Trump wrote, 'What's going on with my 'boys' and, in some cases, 'gals?' They're all going after Attorney General Pam Bondi, who is doing a FANTASTIC JOB! We're on one Team, MAGA, and I don't like what's happening. We have a PERFECT Administration, THE TALK OF THE WORLD, and 'selfish people' are trying to hurt it, all over a guy who never dies, Jeffrey Epstein.' However, this post was quickly ratioed on Truth Social. That's a rare occurrence on a platform largely built for and by his loyal base. Being ratioed means that a particular post received more replies than likes, often signaling public disapproval, and is usually seen on platforms like X. Currently, Trump's post has 32.7k comments and less than 30k likes, an evident proof that his followers have not appreciated his post. I don't understand the reason for your current attitude and frankly I'm beyond the point of caring. I do care about justice, wether you approve or not.' A third user shared the sentiment, 'You promised us Sir. Putting your MAGA base down is not going to make this go away. Pam Bondi has LIED to us time and time again. Who is advising you?' While this goes on endlessly on social media still, reports have suggested that Trump has continued to rally support behind Pam Bondi privately, too. As per a CNN report, Trump's inner circle has reached out to some of Bondi's most vocal critics, asking them to calm it down a notch on their criticism. They also made it clear that Trump, at this moment, was not getting rid of his attorney general.

Swami Yatindranand Giri backs 'Operation Kalanemi', calls CM Dhami's move bold and necessary

DEHRADUN: Swami Yatindranand Giri, a prominent spiritual leader from the Juna Akhara, has strongly endorsed Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami's recently launched Operation Kalanemi, calling it a courageous move aimed at protecting Sanatan Dharma from impostors and criminal elements misusing religious garb. Speaking to ANI, he called it a "courageous" step and suggested that it should be implemented nationwide, aimed at distinguishing genuine Sanatan Dharma practitioners from those misusing it to defame the tradition. Swami Giri said, "Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has taken a very courageous decision, and I would say that such a step should be implemented across the entire country. Sanatan Dharma is a highly respected tradition, and there are many people who, under the guise of saffron robes, are actually criminal and jihadi elements trying to defame Sanatan Dharma." He alleged that the certain criminal individuals are promoting "immoral behaviour" in the guise of Sanatan Dharma. "They roam around dressed as saints, some consuming meat and alcohol, and are engaged in various kinds of fraud. These people, using saffron as a cover, are promoting immoral behavior and trying to tarnish Hindutva and Sanatan Dharma," he said. He further added, "Our Chief Minister of Devbhoomi Uttarakhand, Pushkar Singh Dhami, consistently makes such bold decisions. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 5 Books Warren Buffett Wants You to Read In 2025 Blinkist: Warren Buffett's Reading List Undo Earlier, he brought in the Uniform Civil Code and openly took a stand against land jihad." Swami Giri said that CM Pushkar Singh Dhami's decision targets those who are "like a cancer in society". He said, "Now, through Operation Kalanemi, he is targeting those elements who are like a cancer in society, who harm and defame religion. The decision to take the strictest action against such individuals roaming around disguised as saints is truly commendable. Operation Kalanemi is undoubtedly a very bold move, and for this, we extend our heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. " Swami Giri expressed that saints and sages nationwide welcome CM Dhami's decision, "All the saints and sages across India are very pleased with this decision, as it aims to root out the distortions infiltrating Sanatan Dharma. Operation Kalanemi will help in restoring the purity, sanctity, and uniqueness of Sanatan Dharma. We offer our blessings to him for taking this step." Meanwhile, as part of the Operation Kalanemi, Dehradun Police on Saturday arrested 23 individuals posing as sadhus in different areas of the district. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ajay Singh told ANI, "In line with the above instructions, all the station in-charges have been instructed to identify such persons in their respective police station areas, who disguise themselves as saints and mislead people, especially women and youth, and lure them to solve their personal or domestic problems and commit fraud with them, and take strict action against them. " According to the SSP, the arrested individuals were allegedly preying on people's religious sentiments and were involved in duping unsuspecting victims by offering fake rituals, blessings, or remedies. The SSP said, "Under this campaign, the police took action in various police station areas Saturday and arrested 23 fake babas roaming around in the guise of saints and sadhus. Among the arrested fake babas, 10 persons are residents of other states."

"We are constantly engaging with our students internally to ensure their safety and well-being. I have instructed my team to do everything necessary to address the situation. This is my clear directive," Director-in-Charge Saibal Chattopadhyay told PTI. Live Events He said the IIM-Calcutta campus is co-educational and the recent developments have led to some apprehension among parents, which he termed as "natural" given that the institute has never faced such a situation in the past. "I cannot speak in detail about what we are doing. We will not share with the media anything more than what we have already said in our statement on Saturday, as this matter is both sensitive and sub judice," Chattopadhyay added. In its statement issued on Saturday, IIM Calcutta had said: "We are treating this matter with the utmost seriousness and are fully cooperating with the law enforcement authorities, who are currently conducting an investigation. The concerned individual has been taken into police custody, and the legal process is underway." The institute is committed to ensuring that due process is followed while safeguarding the dignity, safety, and privacy of all individuals involved, it had said. "We wish to affirm that the Indian Institute of Management-Calcutta has zero tolerance for such incidents and remains steadfast in upholding a safe and respectful campus environment," the statement added. Police have constituted a nine-member special investigation team (SIT) to probe into the alleged incident. The woman's father, however, has claimed that the reported incident did not take place.
