Season 2 of ‘Percy Jackson' is Coming—And Season 3 is Confirmed!

Demigods, it's time to complete the prophecy and return to Camp Half Blood again. That's right, The Oracle and the Greek Gods have officially announced when Season 2 of the hit TV show adaptation Percy Jackson and the Olympians is going to be available to stream, and have even released some photos of the main cast members like Walker Scobell as Percy Jackson, and Leah Sava Jeffries as Annabeth Chase. Scroll on to see them and learn more about when the Disney+ show will release and what the plot is expected to be. What 'Percy Jackson' Season 2 will be about Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 2 was announced in 2024, just a few months after the first season came out. It is expected to follow the second book in author Rick Riordan's best-selling series, The Sea of Monsters. In the novel, Percy Jackson (played by Scobell) travels to Circe's island with his friend Annabeth Chase (played by Jeffries) to try and procure the legendary Golden Fleece in the hopes that it will save both Camp Half Blood and the magical tree that protects it. Elsewhere, the now villainous Luke Castellan (played by Charlie Bushnell) works to revive the titan Kronos, and Grover Underwood (Aryan Simhadri) goes mysteriously missing, all of which are featured in the trailer below! 'This season has a lot more action than last season for sure,' Scobell, age 16, said, per TV Insider. 'I feel like last season was very much like, we would stay in one place and have a conversation and then there'd be an action sequence, you know what I mean? It was awesome. But this season, the stakes are higher for our characters, so it almost feels like there's never a place where we just stop and talk. We're almost always doing something, which I think fits this book perfectly. There's just so much at stake for our characters.' The actor could be referring to the book's chariot race, Cyclops' fight or his character being turned into a gerbil, but only time will tell. This will be the second time the book has been adapted, as it was made into a film in 2013, which starred Logan Lerman as Percy Jackson, Brandon T. Jackson as Grover Underwood and Alexandra Daddario as Annabeth Chase. Who's in the 'Percy Jackson' Season 2 cast? Along with Scobell, Jeffries, Bushnell and Simhadri Dior Goodjohn (who plays Clarisse La Rue), Virginia Kull (who plays Sally Jackson), Glynn Turman (who plays Chiron/Mr. Brunner), Jason Mantzoukas (who plays Dionysus/Mr.D), Toby Stephens (who plays Poseidon) and Lin Manuel Miranda (who plays Hermes) are expected to return. They will be joined by Tamara Smart (who will play Thalia Grace), Daniel Diemer (who will play Tyson), Andra Day (who will play Athena) and Timothy Simons (who will play Tantalus). Courtney B. Vance is also expected to appear, as he will take over the role of Zeus from Lance Reddick, who tragically passed away in 2023 at the age of 60. 'There's also just a little bit of denial, I think. That's something that we're gonna have to deal with. But we're incredibly grateful for this character that he helped build and the presence that he created,' executive producer Jon Steinberg said in February 2024, per Deadline. I do not envy whoever has to step into his shoes.' When does 'Percy Jackson' Season 2 come out? Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 2 is expected to release on Disney+ on December 10, 2025. As of publication, there is no news on whether episodes will be released one by one like Season 1 was. Is 'Percy Jackson' getting a Season 3? Following that, Disney announced that the show will be returning for a third season, which will be based on book three, The Titan's Curse. It will be the first time that the novel has been adapted and will introduce viewers to Nico D'Angelo, who will be played by Levi Chrisopulos and his sister Bianca D'Angelo, who will be played by Olive Abercrombie. 'We're so grateful to be continuing the story of Percy Jackson on Disney+. This third season will be new territory for the screen, bringing fan favorites like the Hunters of Artemis and Nico di Angelo to life for the first time,' Riordan, the author, wrote on his website. 'It's a huge sign of commitment from Disney, and speaks volumes about the enthusiasm with which the fandom has embraced the TV show. Thank you, demigods worldwide!' It is expected to start filming in July of this year, with Scobell musing it 'probably will be my favorite season to shoot,' per J-14. Logan Lerman Discusses The Lasting Impact Of "Perks Of Being A Wallflower," Plus Everything Else He Revealed While Playing With Puppies

It's no secret that Logan Lerman has been everyone's crush forever. He's even earned the title of "white boy of the century" from everyone on the internet. So, you asked. You begged. And now it's finally happened. Logan swung by BuzzFeed to do our Puppy Interview, and it was the most wholesome thing ever. Brittany Bravo / BuzzFeed Related: To celebrate his new movie Oh, Hi!, we asked Logan all of our burning questions about the film, like working with Molly Gordon, as well as stuff about his previous work, like The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Percy Jackson, and more. Plus, we even found time to just get to know him a little better. Oh, Hi! follows Iris (Gordon) and Isaac (Lerman), who embark on a romantic weekend road trip. However, shortly after arriving, Isaac mentions that he's not really looking for a relationship. Long story short, rather than lose what they have, Iris decides the best solution is to try to convince him they are meant for each keeping him tied to a Logan also revealed how much he loves that even after 13 years, people still come up to him and want to talk about The Perks of Being a Wallflower, and how a new generation keeps discovering it (and Percy Jackson). He talked about how his celebrity crush will always be Julia Louis-Dreyfus, so much so, he keeps asking Molly Gordon and Geraldine Viswanathan to introduce them. Related: Logan even found time to tease what it was like joining Only Murders in the Building for the show's upcoming fifth season, saying, "It's like a real family there. It was one of the coolest pinch me moments of my career was hanging out with Martin Short and Steve Martin, and Selena [Gomez]." And yes, don't worry, we found time to ask about those Emily Henry fan casts, those grey hair photos that went viral a few years ago, and so much more. Related: Basically, I knew Logan was a sweetheart, but now seeing him with puppies, he's somehow even more wholesome than before. You can check out Logan's full Puppy Interview below: And be sure to check out Logan in Oh, Hi!, which is in theaters now! ‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians' Sets Season 2 Premiere, Casts Fan-Favorite Roles for Season 3

Camp Half-Blood relocated to San Diego Thursday, bringing a slew of announcements about Percy Jackson and the Olympians. The cast and showrunners of the Disney+ series appeared at Comic-Con for a panel that included news about the coming second season, as well as a key piece of casting for season three, which the streamer ordered shortly after filming on season two wrapped earlier in the year. More from The Hollywood Reporter From 'South Park' to George Lucas' First Comic-Con: Inside the Most Anticipated Panels Disney+ Sets Release Date for K-Drama Tentpole 'Tempest' Starring Gianna Jun, Gang Dong-won Gabby Windey to Host Alex Cooper's 'Love Overboard' Reality Dating Series For starters, Percy Jackson author and series co-creator/executive producer Rick Riordan announced in a video message that season two, based on Riordan's second Percy Jackson book, The Sea of Monsters, will premiere Dec. 10. The session also featured the debut of a teaser trailer for the coming season, including the first look at Daniel Diemer as Tyson, the cyclops who befriends Percy (Walker Scobell), and a very brief glimpse at a chariot race at camp. Watch it below. Executive producer Craig Silverstein said of the race, 'The chariot track is the most amazing set I've been on in my whole career. It's going to be a sequence that blows you guys away because it blew me away.' Moderator Timothy Simons, who guest stars as Tantalus in season two, joked that 'I've never been on anything that had a fire budget.' Riordan also announced — to screams from the crowd in Hall H — that the show has found actors to play the fan-favorite roles of Nico and Bianca di Angelo, two young demigods who will become part of the story in the third season. Levi Chrisopulos will play Nico and be a series regular, and Olive Abercrombie will have a recurring role as Bianca. Chrisopulos has appeared on stage in a touring production of Peter Pan and guest-starred on CBS' FBI in 2024. Abercrombie's TV credits include Mayfair Witches and Outer Range. Production on season three, which is based on The Titan's Curse, is slated to begin soon. Along with Scobell and Diemer, the Comic-Con panel featured castmembers Leah Sava Jeffries, Aryan Simhadri, Charlie Bushnell and Dior Goodjohn and executive producers Jonathan E. Steinberg, Dan Shotz and Silverstein. Steinberg and Shotz are the showrunners of Percy Jackson and the Olympians. They executive produce season two with Silverstein, Rick Riordan, Rebecca Riordan, Bert Salke, The Gotham Group's Ellen Goldsmith-Vein, Jeremy Bell and D.J. Goldberg, James Bobin, Jim Rowe, Albert Kim, Jason Ensler and Sarah Watson.
