Devout Christian WAG announces she is expecting second baby just days before her NRL star husband Max King is set to play in Origin decider

Daily Mail09-07-2025
NRL WAG Christy Young has revealed she is pregnant with her second child.
The glamorous brunette, 26, made the announcement on Instagram, posting a heartwarming photo cradling her one-year-old son Hercules, who was adorably holding up a strip of ultrasound images.
'Here we grow again,' Christy wrote in the caption, adding, 'Our baby girl coming December,' alongside baby and pink heart emojis.
The couple, who are both devout Christians, welcomed their first child, Hercules Maxwell King, in June last year.
The news comes just days before her husband, Canterbury Bulldogs star Max King, is set to take the field in the highly anticipated State of Origin decider.

Max and Christy originally announced they were expecting their first baby back in December 2023, with Christy sharing a sweet video surprising her husband with a positive pregnancy test.
The emotional clip also showed the couple embracing and revealing the news to family, with the caption: 'Baby King coming 2024.'
In one scene, Christy proudly showed off her baby bump while holding up a set of ultrasound scans, marking the beginning of their parenting journey.
When baby Hercules arrived, the proud parents took to Instagram again to share the joyous news with fans.
'Introducing Hercules Maxwell King,' they captioned a series of sweet snaps, including a mirror selfie of Christy holding their newborn and several tender moments captured shortly after his birth.
The young couple tied the knot in October 2023 at Sydney's lavish Curzon Hall, surrounded by family and friends.
Their wedding made headlines not only for its grandeur but also for their firm commitment to faith, which played a central role in their relationship.
Max and Christy famously abstained from sex throughout their engagement, a decision they say strengthened their emotional bond.
'We are so loud and proud about our faith… it's never been something we've shied away from because it is so important to us,' Christy told 2DayFM's Hughesy, Ed and Erin in March last year.
'We spoke about it [remaining celibate] early on… on the first or second date,' she explained. 'Christian dating 101 is you're not wasting anyone's time. It's a conversation we didn't shy away from and honestly we've seen such fruit from it in our relationship in terms of communication… it's just so good.'
Christy also spoke about how the couple met at church, revealing she was initially hesitant to date Max because of his NRL career.
'When I met him I was like, 'Oh you're a footy player - red flag. What have I got myself into?' she laughed, adding that it was their pastor who ended up setting them up.
'We met at church. I was living on the Gold Coast and he was sitting in front of me… we didn't talk that day but the pastor set us up. If you want a good guy, find him in church.'
She revealed Max's teammates were shocked to learn about their choice to remain celibate until marriage, with some struggling to believe it.
'For sure [his teammates are supportive]… but when we first started dating they were like, 'As if you guys are [abstaining from sex].'
Christy said their spiritual foundation has helped Max on and off the field.
'When it [sex] isn't the forefront of everything, it's like we've just been able to have such good conversations and build on our relationship, and we have such a good support system for each other.'
'It [celibacy] does help his game, in that it's just that we have such a good foundation in our relationship.'
Christy said she feels incredibly lucky to have met Max.
'I feel so blessed to have met Max… we are the puzzle pieces that fit together and it's all down to God.'

Woman makes common travel mistake when booking Disney trip that puts holiday at risk

A woman made a huge mistake when booking a trip to Disney World that put the holiday at risk. Becky, @thegeordiedisneyma, had applied for Estas for her family five months before the departure date to ensure they were prepared and ready. Estas, Electronic System for Travel Authorization, allows tourists from certain countries to visit the USA without a visa. In a TikTok video, she explained how she 'double-checked them, triple-checked them, checked them again before you even got to the airport'. However, things took a turn right before the family boarded the plane when it became clear one key detail wasn't correct. Becky's husband's date of birth had been inputted incorrectly on the Esta. She shared how she felt 'slightly traumatised' by the experience and described it as 'hell on Earth'. 'Basically we got to the airport, went to check him in and his date of birth was wrong, the day of his birth,' Becky recalled. 'I don't know how it happened, I scanned the passport, that's what the information got put in from.' Despite both Becky and her husband checking the Esta, somehow the date still managed to be put through incorrectly and approved by officials. 'We went to check in with TUI and they said they couldn't let us board because the date on the Esta didn't match his passport,' she explained. 'When I tell you my heart was in my throat and my stomach was in the other end would be an understatement of how I felt.' The family then had to repack their four cases to ensure Becky's husband's clothes were all in one in case he couldn't join them on the flight. They called various officials including border control and the US Embassy to try and resolve the issue. 'By some divine intervention the flight was delayed three hours,' Becky revealed. They still had to go through security and be ready for the flight to depart. 'I was sobbing at this point, my daughter was sobbing, my son wouldn't speak to us and he's [Becky's husband] smiling, it's fine, things happen for a reason,' the mother-of-two said. Becky and her family made their way through the security gates while her husband attempted to contact officials for help. 'The TUI representative ended up getting through to someone on Homeland Security who basically said you had to cancel the Esta before you could reapply because you can't change or cancel your own Esta once it's been approved, it has to go through them,' Becky recalled. 'So he fast-tracked it, it took an hour so it didn't come back until 12.' Becky's husband was then told to put a new Esta application in which could take up to three days to be approved. 'It gets to 1pm and we're like, if it doesn't come through now he's not going to be allowed on the plane,' Becky recalled. Fortunately, the flight was delayed again meaning they had another hour for the Esta to come through. 'At quarter to two, the Esta came through and he legged it through security and got through departure,' Becky revealed. 'As it happens the flight was delayed again until 4pm because there was then an emergency announcement in the airport and everything kind of stopped for ages.' Still in shock from the turn of events, Becky gushed: 'I still can't actually believe that that happened, it was like some kind of fever dream if I'm honest I still can't believe he's here. 'Moral of the story, even if you've triple checked your Estas, check them again please because that's something I never want to repeat in my whole life.'

MasterChef Australia star Poh Ling Yeow reveals her VERY messy bedroom - and her fans have a surprising reaction

Poh Ling Yeow has taken to social media to share what goes on behind the scenes of her glamorous life as a TV personality - and her fans are surprisingly sympathetic. The 51-year-old MasterChef Australia judge and artist posted a photo of her very messy bedroom. 'Hello universe. Honestly, I'm trying,' she captioned the snap, which featured an overflowing washing basket and clothes left in piles on her bedspread. Her followers were quick to sympathise with the highly relatable image, which Poh shared to her Instagram on Monday. 'Oh, I hear you! I wish abracadabra would've worked at my place. Yours looks pretty neat,' one person commented. 'Same girl, same,' added another, while a third said simply, 'Thank you, Poh, we are all trying.' Also seen in the picture is Poh's little shaggy dog Tim, who appeared to be transfixed by his owner's clean-up activity. 'Tim is doing a great job overseeing all the activity,' one fan joked. Added another: 'Tim found just the one bit of clear-ish space he could squeeze himself in!' 'I don't know how you find time to do all the things you do, let alone normal stuff!' one more commented. It comes after Poh recently opened up about the hidden challenges of fame, revealing she turns down lucrative offers if they don't align with her values. Speaking on the Mental As Anyone podcast last month, she described navigating life in the public eye as difficult. 'It is a treacherous path actually, because I think you have to be very careful about what you say yes to,' she said. 'I think you're as defined by what you're saying no to, so opportunities will come, but a lot of them are yucky and will leave a little trail of badness. 'I've made mistakes. I've said yes to things before and then later regretted it. I have done things before where I've … had a weird feeling about that and now I feel like it was a mistake, not huge ones, but just like, probably not as aligned with my brand as it should have been.' Poh revealed she is highly selective about brand partnerships, preferring to keep her platform authentic. 'It is mainly commercial opportunities that are about money and using my platform,' she explained. 'I really make sure that the things that I attach myself to, like endorsements and stuff, are things that I really genuinely love. It is sort of very nuanced, but I am very particular.' Poh was one of seven stars nominated for the Gold Logie last month, alongside Julia Morris, Ally Langdon, Sonia Kruger, Lisa Millar, Hamish Blake and the eventual winner Lynne McGranger. The chef joined the judging panel in 2022 following the shock death of Jock Zonfrillo and the departures of Melissa Leong and Andy Allen.
