An Aston Martin Valkyrie hypercar, valued at around $4 million, came to an unfortunate halt in the middle of a rainy London evening, leaving its owner stranded in heavy traffic.
The breakdown occurred on the A40 near the Hilton London Metropole Hotel as the vehicle was headed toward Regent's Park. Video footage captured by a passerby shows the high-performance hypercar stationary in the fast lane, hazard lights flashing, as vehicles maneuvered around it in the wet conditions.

The Valkyrie, a highly exclusive model with only 150 units produced, is not a car one typically sees navigating city streets, particularly in inclement weather. Yet, some owners choose to take their prized machines out despite the risks.
Powered by a Cosworth-built 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 paired with a Rimac-sourced KERS hybrid system, the Valkyrie produces an astonishing 1,176 horsepower. This immense power is sent to the rear wheels through a seven-speed single-clutch automated manual transmission, making it one of the most extreme road-legal hypercars ever built.
While the exact cause of the breakdown remains unknown, high-performance vehicles like the Valkyrie are known for their precision engineering and complexity, which can sometimes lead to mechanical issues—especially when exposed to everyday traffic and wet conditions.
The incident highlights the challenges of driving a track-focused hypercar in an urban environment. Although designed for ultimate performance, the Valkyrie's aggressive aerodynamics, low ride height, and race-derived technology make it far from the ideal city cruiser.
No injuries or accidents were reported as a result of the breakdown, and the Valkyrie was eventually removed from the road.

Here's How Elon Musk's Daughter Vivian Jenna Wilson Reacted To Her Dad's Fallout With President Trump
Vivian Jenna Wilson shared her thoughts on the viral feud between President Donald Trump and Elon Musk. It only took a few minutes for Tesla CEO's daughter to chime in after her dad dropped a now-deleted bombshell accusation against Trump, alleging the president's name was in the FBI files on Jeffrey Epstein. If you didn't know, Elon's 21-year-old daughter has been estranged from her father since coming out as trans, but she's remained a vocal critic of her father's actions and involvement in politics. "I mean, I'll see things about him in the news and think, That's fucking cringe, I should probably post about this and denounce it, which I have done a few times," Vivan told Teen Vogue back in March. Well, now that her dad and the president are trending for their big fallout, it's no surprise Vivian would find a way to address it. A quick recap: On Jun. 4, Elon voiced his opposition to Trump's "One Big, Beautiful Bill," which didn't go over well with the president. Speaking with reporters, Trump responded, "I'm very disappointed because Elon knew the inner workings of this bill better than almost anybody. He had no problem with it. All of the sudden he had a problem, and he only developed the problem when he found out we're gonna have to the cut EV mandate... He hasn't said bad about me personally, but I'm sure that'll be next. But I'm very disappointed in Elon. I've helped Elon a lot." Related: "We Don't Import Food": 31 Americans Who Are Just So, So Confused About Tariffs And US Trade Elon fired back with X posts on Jun. 5, claiming the president "would have lost the election," and Trump's response is a sign of "ingratitude." Then, when Trump threatened to "terminate Elon's Governmental Subsidies and Contracts," Elon dropped his "really big bomb" of an X post, which has since been removed. Elon's now-deleted X post read, "Time to drop the really big bomb: @realDonaldTrump is in the Epstein files. That is the real reason they have not been made public. Have a nice day, DJT!" Related: AOC's Viral Response About A Potential Presidential Run Has Everyone Watching, And I'm Honestly Living For It Although Elon has since removed the X post claiming the president's name was in the Epstein files, the claim went viral, so of course, his daughter, who's been critical of her billionaire father in the past, had to post about it. Vivian posted a video of herself with the caption, "I love being proven right." In the video, she says, "I do not want to comment," before laughing on camera. @vivllainous / Instagram: @vivllainous Vivian also posted an Instagram Story of her Threads post, which read, "Such beauty in life," with Chase Icon's "Job Application" playing in the background. If it wasn't obvious that Vivian was throwing a little shade at Elon and President Trump's online feud, people in the comments sure as heck made it clear. "I love that everyone knows EXACTLY what you're talking about with just 4 words. I fucking L O V E I T," one person wrote. Another person said Vivian was "the best at giving shade without naming anyone." People were really celebrating with Vivian in the replies. Finally, somebody wrote, "I really hope you're taking this day to put your feet up with a glass of wine. You've endured so much shit -this must feel glorious." Whew. What a week! The Evolution of the Chevy Corvette: America's Sports Car Turns Supercar
Read the full story on Modern Car Collector In a new feature video from Modern Car Collector (MCC), viewers are invited to take a thrilling ride through time in "The Evolution of the Chevrolet Corvette: From Classic to Supercar", a visual chronicle of how America's beloved sports car became a global performance powerhouse. The Corvette's story began in 1953 as a sleek concept car revealed at the GM Motorama in New York. With just 300 hand-built units, the original C1 set the tone for a bold new chapter in American automotive history. But it was visionaries like Harley Earl, GM's legendary design chief, and Zora Arkus-Duntov, often called the "Father of the Corvette," who pushed the car beyond its show-car roots and into true performance territory. The MCC video walks viewers through all eight generations of Corvette evolution—from the split-window C2 Sting Ray and the brute-force C3 big blocks, to the high-tech innovations of the C4 and the return to racing form with the C5 Z06. As each generation progressed, so too did Corvette's capabilities, culminating in today's C8 platform, the first production Corvette with a mid-engine layout. Highlights include the C8 ZR1, a supercharged beast expected to push 850 horsepower, and the Corvette E-Ray, which fuses electrification with all-wheel drive for the first time in the model's history. This engaging MCC production doesn't just focus on horsepower—it celebrates the cultural significance of the Corvette, its place in racing lore, and its unmatched ability to adapt and evolve without losing its American soul. Whether you're a lifelong Corvette enthusiast or a newcomer to the legend, "The Evolution of the Chevrolet Corvette: From Classic to Supercar" is a must-watch journey through 70 years of performance, innovation, and iconic design. NASCAR Turns Heads With Ford Post Before Michigan Race
NASCAR Turns Heads With Ford Post Before Michigan Race originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The 2025 NASCAR Cup Series started its June schedule with Ryan Blaney of Team Penske snatching the checkered flag at the Nashville Superspeedway to win the Cracker Barrel 400. Advertisement While it was Blaney's first win of the season, it was the fourth victory overall by his car's manufacturer in the campaign. Ford has four wins to date as the season progresses to the next race, the FireKeepers Casino 400 at Michigan International Speedway this coming Sunday. Blaney's win is a good sign for Ford going into the Michigan race, but there's probably not a better trend indicating likely success for Ford this weekend than the one shared by NASCAR via its official Instagram account on Friday. According to the post, nine of the last 10 winners at Michigan International Speedway were Ford drivers. Among them is Blaney, who won the 2021 edition of the FireKeepers Casino 400. Advertisement Fans have all sorts of reactions to this update, with many offering their predictions. "Blaney will make it 10/11," said a fan on Instagram. Another one said: "Blaney going back to back TRUST.' From a commenter: "Way to ruin this stat, @tyler_reddick.' 'Ford is the best this year idk what y'all on about,' a social media user posted. Via a different commenter: 'pls be another ford win.' Said another: 'Ford is the best this year idk what y'all on about.' The post also noted Kevin Harvick's five Michigan wins on a Ford over that stretch. He won a total of six times in Michigan, but the first one took place way back in 2010 on a Chevrolet. Harvick retired in 2023 and now works for FOX Sports as an analyst, but previous Michigan winners who drove Ford in their victories there are still around, like Joey Logano and Chris Buescher. Jim Dedmon-Imagn Images The only non-Ford car to win a Michigan race in the last 10 NASCAR Cup Series events there was Tyler Reddick of 23XI Racing at the 2024 FireKeepers Casino 400.
