Love Island star Maura Higgins paid an emotional tribute to her late best friend, Andrew Rowan, on social media after revealing she blamed herself for his death
Love Island star Maura Higgins paid tribute to her late best friend, Andrew Rowan, on the anniversary of his death. Andrew tragically died at the age of 26 in a devastating motorcycle crash. He was involved in a collision with three cars in Athlone, Ireland, in 2017, with Maura previously admitting she 'blamed herself' over the tragedy.
Maura took to her Instagram Stories to share a black-and-white video compilation of them in the car, hanging out and laughing in bed with a Snapchat filter on. She captioned the heartbreaking post: "Another year has passed.... but never a day I don't think of you!!! Love you always Andrew," and added a dove emoji and a white heart emoji.

The TV personality previously revealed she felt guilty after his death. The Love Island star felt that the events of that tragic day might have unfolded differently if she had made other choices.
During an appearance on the We Need To Talk podcast run by Married At First Sight expert Paul Brunson, Maura discussed the day of the crash as she revealed her guilt.
Reflecting on the day, said: "For so long I blamed myself for it because when I look back at that day, the day was so crazy. I can't work my head around it. He called me and he'd finished work early, which wasn't really meant to happen.

"He was like, 'I have finished work early, let's grab some food.' I was like, 'I can't be effed, I am still in my pyjamas, I really can't be f***ed'."
She continued, admitting she still wonders about her decision: "I am not as bad as I was with it, but I still think, 'Why didn't I just go with him?' He wouldn't have been on the motorbike, we would have been in his car, we would have got food and maybe the day would have been different."

While holding back tears, she said: "I don't want to cry. I am so not a crier as well. I think I just beat myself up over it because it would have been different."
When Paul asked her if she still blamed herself, she responded: "I just know it would have been different if I just got f***ing dressed and wasn't so lazy."
Maura said she saw him earlier in the day and questioned him when she saw him on the bike. "He's not a biker and every time he was on it, I just didn't understand. I just didn't like it. He was like, 'It's a great day, it is a lovely day outside'," she added.

"I will never forget when he left, he said he was going to take a drive on the bike. I went into the toilet and I could hear his motorbike, and I got these shivers.
"I remember thinking to myself, 'Maura, stop thinking bad.' Then a few hours later, I get a phone call. It is such a weird day when I look back."

Her top product for the summer is the Radiant Glow Skin Perfector. This Morning's Olivia Attwood opens her debut to the ITV show with a BRUTAL comment to her co-star Dermot O'Leary - leaving the studio in stitches

This Morning's Olivia Attwood opened her debut to the ITV show with a BRUTAL comment to her co-star Dermot O'Leary on Friday -which left the studio in stitches. The 34-year-old, who shot to fame on the third series of Love Island in 2017, was announced as a host for the summer break back in June. Friday's episode of This Morning saw Olivia join Dermot for the first time. But the Getting Filthy Rich star couldn't help but make a cheeky comment about Dermot just moments after they went on air. Dermot said to viewers: 'Well hello. Welcome to your Friday's This Morning. 'Look who has joined us today. It's only the lovely Olivia Attwood everyone! Olivia replied: 'Thanks guys! This is not a drill. This is happening! '...I want you to know, I did go for a smaller heel.' Dermot then added: 'You could have worn a flat! That's all I'm saying... Early feedback.' 'I couldn't actually,' Olivia replied. Dermot, who is 5 ft9, told her: 'You could have worn a flat!' The former X Factor presenter then went on his tip toes to get to the same height as his co-host. Olivia's debut has got a lot of people talking on X, formerly known as Twitter, with many sharing how much they think she's a great fit for the show. 'Love to see Olivia is presenting on #thismorning great addition!' 'tbh I like Olivia, there are way more insufferable people than her and at least her documentaries aren't just a reality show all about me me me #thismorning.' Since shooting to fame on Love Island, Olivia has released some of her own documentaries with ITV, including Getting Filthy Rich, The Price of Perfection and presented Bad Boyfriends. She also became a regular panelist on Loose Women back in August 2023. But earlier this month the star hit back at backlash over her upcoming gig on This Morning after cruel trolls insisted it 'wouldn't work'. Traditionalists went as far as threatening they'll 'definitely stop watching' if Olivia joins the morning show. But ITV's golden girl Olivia has assured she is determined to succeed in the new gig and prove the haters wrong. She exclusively told The Sun: 'Those who know me understand the hard work I've put in to get where I am today. 'I'm forever grateful to Love Island for being the springboard to my career, but I'm excited to show there's so much more to me beyond the villa. 'It's been a lot of hard work, but I've always stayed focused on my goals and believed in myself and I'm very thankful for ITV in believing me.' There are a range of other stars who will be presenting This Morning this summer. The likes of Sian Welby, 38, Emma Willis, 49, Josie Gibson, 40, Rochelle Humes, 36, Joel Dommett, 40, Craig Doyle, 54, and Andi Peters, 54, will also be stepping in for Cat Deeley, 48, and Ben Shephard, 50.

This Morning viewers 'surprised' as they make same comment on Olivia Attwood's debut

Olivia Attwood joined the This Morning sofa alongside Dermot O'Leary this morning as she made her presenting debut on the show weeks after making the exciting announcement This Morning underwent a huge presenter shake-up this morning, as former Love Island star Olivia Attwood stepped up to the presenting role for the first time. ‌ It's not the star's first major gig on ITV daytime, having joined the Loose Women presenters on the panel as a regular in August 2023. She also has her own show on the channel, The Price of Perfection, in which she goes behind the scenes of cosmetic procedures, examining society's obsession with the 'perfect' body. ‌ Olivia stepped straight into her This Morning role, warmly welcomed by fellow co-host Dermot O'Leary. However, they couldn't resist making a gag at the height difference between the two – as Olivia joked she had to wear smaller heels to present alongside her co-host. ‌ Elsewhere on the show, Olivia opened up about her ADHD diagnosis during a news segment with Ashley James and Gyles Brandreth. Fans took to X, formerly known as Twitter upon her debut, with many saying she was a 'great addition' to the line-up. One impressed fan penned: "Love to see Olivia is presenting on #thismorning great addition!" as a second agreed: "Loving Olivia!" ‌ "Good to see you in the show. You are doing great," another tweeted about the former Love Island star. Others were left surprised with their feelings towards the star presenting, as one penned: "Don't shoot me down but I actually like Olivia presenting!" Another replied: "tbh I like Olivia, there are way more insufferable people than her and at least her documentaries aren't just a reality show all about me me me." ‌ Olivia isn't the only former Love Island star to land a role on the huge ITV morning show, as awkwardly, her ex Chris Hughes joined the programme after his stint on Celebrity Big Brother. Chris, who finished as a finalist on CBB and is now dating his fellow former housemate JoJo Siwa, regularly joins the show via two-way to host the competitions. However, it doesn't look like the two will be having an awkward run in during Olivia's debut, but as she's hosting all Summer, it could happen in the future... Yesterday, regular Summer and Friday presenter Alison Hammond announced it was her final show before taking a break for the next few weeks. Before the show ended, Alison and her co-host Dermot O'Leary gave each other a huge hug as she said, "See you in September, bye!"
