Actor Jeremy Renner, who played Clint Barton in 'Hawkeye' Season 1 and is one of the original Avengers, has turned down Disney's offer to return for Season 2. In a recent interview with High Performance, the actor revealed that he rejected the 'Hawkeye' Season 2 offer over a salary issue."They asked me to do a season two, and they offered me half the money. I'm like, wow. It's going to take me twice the amount of work for half the amount of money. And so eight months of my time essentially, and I have to do it for half," he said.advertisementEarlier, there were rumours that Jeremy Renner might not return for 'Hawkeye' Season 2 because of the serious snow-plow accident he had in 2023. Reacting to this, the American actor hinted that Disney offered him a lower salary, possibly because of that life-threatening accident. 'I'm like, 'I'm sorry? Why? Did you think I'm only half the Jeremy because I got ran over? Maybe that's why you want to pay me half of what I made on the first season," he claimed.
On January 1, 2023, Jeremy Renner was seriously injured and hospitalised after a heavy snow-plow called a Sno-Cat, weighing over 6,500 kg, accidentally ran over him. He was helping his nephew near his home in Lake Tahoe when the incident happened.
