'Genius' travel hack to avoid extra luggage fees of up to £60 is praised by passengers
A plane passenger has devised a 'genius' way to avoid excess baggage fees when flying with budget airlines - and it all starts and ends with a common clothing item.
The traveller-turned-designer noticed passengers being charged for exceeding the carry-on limit and created a crafty hack to avoid fines – which can be as much as £75.
Instead of shoving clothes into a case or bag and hoping gate staff won't notice, the creator suggests carrying a few extra bits in a specially designed hoodie that doubles up as a backpack.
Known as @traxexhoodie on Instagram, the flyer showcased the convenience of a Travex hoodie, which features a backpack seamlessly built into the back of the garment.
The clothing item is currently on sale for £44.99 on the Travex website - with affordable dupes found elsewhere on the likes of Amazon - and is available in unisex sizes M to 4XL in both black and grey.

The video, accompanied with a caption that reads, 'Sir, you're only allowed to bring two bags on board,' has since amassed over 130K likes and 1100 comments.
In the clip, the male passenger can be seen on the tarmac queueing to board the plane with a small suitcase by his side and a backpack slung on his shoulders.
He then removes the backpack to give a sneaky peek of the Travex hoodie underneath.
In a follow-up scene, he demonstrated how much storage the garment's two zipped compartments have, as he effortlessly fitted several t-shirts, shorts, an Apple MacBook, a pair of trainers and a spare toothbrush inside.
Though many hailed the garment as 'absolute genius,' some social media users were a little more skeptical.
One person quizzed: 'How did he get that jacket through security? I'm sure they would question the passenger and make him remove the items in the huge pocket.'
Another asked, 'How do you get it off in the airplane though when you have to sit down?' while a third commented, 'Straight denied boarding when the airline finds out.'
A fourth added, 'Why just one backpack? Make one with two backpacks, one in the front and one in the back,' while a fifth said, 'Make it more invisible please why did u make it like a backpack.'
A number of other users showed enthusiasm for the garment, as one said, 'This is diabolical... Where can I buy this,' while another wrote, 'This is absolute genius.'
The Daily Mail has reached out to Ryanair, Wizz Air, easyJet and Jet2 for further comment.

Meanwhile, one mother is on hand to share her 'best' method for keeping fine jewellery tangle-free in luggage whilst travelling.
Sana, from New York, U.S., is a content creator on TikTok who regularly shares 'mom' hacks with her 9,000 followers, ranging from cooking, to crafts, to cleaning.
In a recent video, uploaded to her page @sanamotherhood, she demonstrated how she used a plastic straw to prevent her necklace tangling.
The mother simply threaded one end of the necklace through the straw, before fastening it to the clasp and inserting the tube seamlessly into her jewellery bag.

Boris Johnson splashes out on Greek holiday cocktails with Carrie and kids
The ex-PM lounged on the beach and swam in the sea on the sunshine break in Greece with his wife and children, enjoying cocktails under a parasol and munching on crisps Boris Johnson has been snapped knocking back cocktails and lets his hair down on a luxury family holiday in Greece. The ex-Prime Minister enjoyed a slower pace of life after his time running the country as he soaked up the sun on the beach trip. He was joined by wife Carrie and their four children - Wilfred, four, Romy, two, Frank, one, and Poppy, two months - on the paradise island of Euboea. Stripping off to his swimming shorts, the former politician enjoyed a dip in the sea to cool down from the heat. Boris, 61, then relaxed on the beach, munching a packet of crisps and indulging in some cocktails. Euboea is second largest island in Greece is less than an hour from Athens and has been the location of a Johnson family holiday before. They were spotted enjoying a break there in 2022. Euboea, also known as Evia, it is a favourite amongst holiday goers thanks to its stunning white beaches and Dubai-like restaurants. In 2000, Johnson nearly drowned on a break in Scotland. He was almost swept out to sea on a dinghy whilst in the Highlands. Setting sail in an inflatable kayak from Argos, he found himself in grave danger. 'I was trying to get away from the goddamn midges - only to find a more serious problem,' he wrote in the Daily Mail. 'No matter how hard I gouged that paddle in the brine, I was going in the wrong direction. I was being tugged by wind and wave into the fast-flowing channel between the mainland and the Isle of Skye, and thence to the Atlantic, where the rolling black gulfs of ocean were waiting to wash me down. 'It looked as though our short summer holiday was about to climax in disaster, and though my sinews were now popping with effort there seemed to be nothing I could do.' Johnson was able to paddle halfway back where he was met by his protection officers who had stripped off and swum out to sea. He chose to cut another holiday short to contest the Tory leadership race to replace Liz Truss. He flew back from the Dominican Republic after Truss announced her resignation as Conservative Party leader on 20 October 2022. Johnson received more than the 100 MPs' nominations required to stand in the leadership election but soon announced that he would not stand.

Travellers move onto road through leafy common surrounded by £5million homes, infuriating families living nearby
A group of travellers have infuriated residents of a leafy London suburb after setting up camp next to a nearby park. Locals living next to Ealing Common in west London have been left fuming following the arrival of a large convoy earlier this month. Around 14 large caravans have been spotted parked up along Warwick Road, which runs through the posh W5 borough. The group appear to have made themselves quite at home, with fold-out tables, towels and gas cylinders dotted around the temporary camp. But residents of the surrounding properties, valued as much as £4.3m, are furious with the amount of rubbish that their new neighbours have left behind. They have become enraged over the apparent lack of care taken by the travellers at the site, where mounds of waste have already begun piling up on the grass. Bin bags, food packaging and even items of clothing also appear to have been strewn across Warwick Road, which runs through the heart of Ealing Common. It is not the first time travellers have made Ealing Common their home, with locals previously saying caravans are often parked on the grass during the summer months. Back in June 2019, at least eight caravans were seen scattered around parts of the common, as groups of children ran between the vehicles. Some members of the public at the time said they were too scared to walk between the vehicles as they felt 'intimidated' by the travellers. Marie Shelton, 66, branded the group 'selfish' because the common should be enjoyed by everyone. She said: 'It's frustrating that the council can't seem to stop them. 'I know it happens in other places and I think put up a barrier to stop them. 'It's called a common for a reason, it's for everyone to enjoy. 'But when they come along like this, it is selfish and it can be intimidating. 'They act like it's their own private land and don't care whether it affects other people who have lived here for years. The group appear to have made themselves quite at home, with fold-out tables, towels and gas cylinders dotted around the temporary camp 'I can't imagine it is good for the grass and I doubt they put all of their rubbish in the park bins - they are far too small. 'I doubt they pay for the trouble so that leaves us who pay council tax to fund the clean up.' Becky Chambers, 26, a charity worker, said at the time: 'I don't live far from here and to be honest I've gotten use to it. 'I know lots of people aren't happy about it and think they shouldn't be here. 'I understand some people might feel intimated but they don't affect me. 'You can see that they are families so if they are here they mustn't have anywhere else to go. 'They're here quite often but mainly during the summer when the weather is good.
