Arsenal hero makes confident goals prediction for 'machine' Viktor Gyokeres
The lengthy pursuit of the Swede is nearly at an end, with a deal to bring him to north London from Sporting on the verge of completion.
While the transfer saga has taken some twists and turns, reports emerged on Tuesday suggesting that a deal was imminent, much to the delight of one of his soon-to-be new teammates.
Arsenal will fork out €63.5million (£54.8m), plus €10m (£8.6m) in add-ons for the 27-year-old, hoping that the former Coventry star will help them make the final jump to claiming the Premier League title.
Limpar reckons he might just do that, rating his fellow Swede extremely highly, both on and off the field.

The 59-year-old, who played for Arsenal from 1990-94 and won the First Division title in '91, reckons Gyokeres is going to grab 25 goals in his first season, which Gunners fans would surely be happy with.
'I know that pretty much all the Arsenal players are top professionals,' Limpar told fotbolldirekt. 'I've been to the training ground, spoken to Arteta. He's Mr. 100 percent professional.
'And that's what you get from Viktor. He's such a prospect when it comes to looking after himself, no scandals, he is a hell of a player.
'He's a No. 9, and can sniff a goal chance. He's going to be the perfect icing on the cake at Arsenal.
'And I don't have to look down on [Kai] Havertz, or [Gabriel] Jesus, but bringing in Viktor at this moment, at his best age and form.
'He's a goalscoring machine and with all the supply from the wings and from Odegaard, he's going to score 25 goals.'

Gyokeres enjoyed a wildly successful time in Portugal, scoring 97 goals in 102 games for Sporting over two seasons.
This came after impressing for Coventry in the Championship, where he scored 21 goals in 46 league games in his final season with the club.
He also spent time with Brighton and Swansea, but has not made a Premier League appearance in his career yet.
Limpar is well placed to comment on Gyokeres as he worked with him early in his career at Swedish club Brommapojkarna.
Speaking last year, the former Gunners star said: 'I know Gyokeres very well personally. I was a bit of a mentor for him when he played for Brommapojkarna. More Trending
'So, I've talked a lot about professional life with him. He's a fantastically hardworking forward who scores a lot of goals.
'If we at Arsenal buy Gyokeres, then he will definitely call me. But to see Gyokeres at Arsenal – that would be crazy.
'His work rate, he runs like a madman. When it doesn't work out Viktor, he works his way into the game with uncomfortable runs.
'When other top forwards aren't doing well, they don't work so hard for the team, they save their energy. Viktor never saves his energy. When things are a bit slow, he works his way into a game with runs – that's why it has gone so well.'

Luis Diaz set for 75m euro move to Bayern Munich as Liverpool accept latest bid
The agreement comes after the Bundesliga champions were understood to have reopened dialogue regarding a move after having an initial offer of 67.5 million euros (£59m) dismissed last week. Liverpool are currently on their pre-season tour in Asia and Diaz was still with the team when they arrived in Tokyo on Sunday, but now has permission to leave. A deal has been agreed between Liverpool and Bayern Munich for Luis Diaz (Mike Egerton/PA) The 28-year-old has two years left on his original contract and it is understood the Reds accepted the bid for what they consider to be his market value. Diaz joined Liverpool in January 2022 and made 50 appearances in all competitions last season – scoring 17 goals – as he helped the team clinch the Premier League title. His time on Merseyside also saw him lift the FA Cup and two Carabao Cups. Diaz was left out of Liverpool's 4-2 friendly defeat by AC Milan in Hong Kong on Saturday as speculation surrounding his future continued to mount. Speaking post-match, head coach Arne Slot said: 'In Lucho's (Diaz's) situation, there's a lot of rumours around him lately and I cannot go into that. Diaz won the Premier League with Liverpool last season (Peter Byrne/PA) 'He's training really well with us but we have decided for now not to play him yet. 'I'm used to talking to most of my players on a regular basis. I cannot comment much more about that.' Liverpool have been busy in the transfer window so far and have bolstered their attacking options with Florian Wirtz – who made his first start as a false nine on Saturday – and Hugo Ekitike joining the club. There have also been further arrivals on Merseyside, with Jeremie Frimpong, left-back Milos Kerkez and goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili all signing and the trio played in the second half of Saturday's friendly.

William Saliba provides update on Arsenal future amid fresh Real Madrid links
William Saliba has distanced himself from reports that he could be set to quit Arsenal for Real Madrid, revealing he hopes to sign a new contract 'soon'. The 24-year-old has established himself as one of the Premier League's most highly regarded defenders over the last two seasons with Arsenal and has twice been named in the PFA Team of the Year. But Saliba's future has been the subject of some speculation in recent months, with the centre-back attracting strong interest from La Liga giants Madrid. A recent report from Cadena SER suggested Saliba had been placed at the top of Madrid's wishlist in what has been dubbed 'Operation 2026'. Though Arsenal's valuation is seen as a potential 'problem', Los Blancos are said to be preparing formal talks with both the Gunners and the Frenchman's camp. After starring in Arsenal's pre-season win over Newcastle, Saliba was asked when he planned to sign an extension at Arsenal as he passed through the mixed zone – and his answer was unequivocal. 'Hopefully soon! God is great,' he told AFTV. More Trending 'This year we will try to win everything.' Saliba's current deal at the Emirates runs through to June 2027. More to follow.
