CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) — Bash Wieland's 17 points helped Chattanooga defeat Citadel 76-75 on Saturday.
Wieland finished 8 of 11 from the field for the Mocs (21-8, 13-3 Southern Conference). Trey Bonham shot 5 for 13, including 4 for 10 from beyond the arc to add 15 points. Honor Huff had 14 points and shot 3 for 13 (2 for 11 from 3-point range) and 6 of 6 from the free-throw line. The Mocs extended their winning streak to nine games.
The Bulldogs (5-22, 0-16) were led in scoring by Brody Fox, who finished with 21 points and seven rebounds. Christian Moore added 13 points for Citadel. Colby McAllister finished with 12 points. The Bulldogs prolonged their losing streak to 19 in a row.
NEXT UP
Chattanooga next plays Thursday against UNC Greensboro on the road, and Citadel will visit Furman on Wednesday.

HARRISON, N.J. (AP) — Former U.S. captain Michael Bradley was hired Thursday as coach of New York Red Bulls II in third tier MLS Next Pro. Bradley replaced Ibrahim Sekagya, who had coached the team since 2023 and was promoted Tuesday to a first-team assistant under Sandro Schwarz. Sekagya will coach Red Bulls II on Sunday against Chattanooga, and Bradley will take over ahead of the June 21 match against Carolina. Now 37, Bradley had 17 goals in 151 international appearances from 2006-19 and spent 20 years playing for the New York/New Jersey MetroStars (2004-05), Heerenveen (2006-08), Borussia Mönchengladbach (2008-11), Aston Villa (2011), Chievo Verona (2011-12), Roma (2012-14) and Toronto (2014-23). Bradley was an assistant to his father Bob with Norway's Stabæk in 2023-24. His father coached the U.S. from 2006-11.
