Meghan Markle's awkward Prince Andrew 'blunder' that left Prince Harry perplexed
Meghan Markle made a cringe-worthy faux pas following a meeting with Prince Andrew, as revealed by Prince Harry, who shared that she posed a puzzling question about his uncle.
As their romance blossomed, Harry introduced Meghan to his Royal relatives, including King Charles, Prince William, and Kate. However, her most significant encounter was with the late Queen, his grandmother.
According to the Channel 5 documentary, The Battle For Royal Lodge - Andrew vs Charles, the story, first shared in Harry's memoir, highlights Meghan's confusion after meeting the Queen at Royal Lodge, Prince Andrew's residence, which he shares with his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson. Notably, Sarah had to teach Meghan how to curtsy at the last minute.

As the gathering concluded, Harry disclosed that Meghan asked a revealing question about his uncle, even wondering if he might not be a relative.
Describing the Queen's departure after chatting with Meghan, Harry wrote: "My uncle Andrew, seated beside her, holding her handbag, began to escort her out.", reports the Mirror.
"After a moment Meg asked me something about the Queen's assistant. I asked who she was talking about."
When Meghan replied, "the man who walked her to the door," the prince had an epiphany, realising she was referring to the Queen's second son, Prince Andrew. Andrew has step back from public life after a disastrous interview on BBC Newsnight about his ties with the infamous Jeffrey Epstein.
In addition, following the Queen's approval, he was divested of his military titles and Royal patronages.

Presently, Andrew is embroiled in a heated quarrel with King Charles over his residency at Royal Lodge, a 30-room mansion near Windsor Castle, which requires substantial repairs.
King Charles has extended an offer to Andrew—who distanced himself from all Royal responsibilities—to relocate to Frogmore Cottage, the four-bedroom property once inhabited by Prince Harry and Meghan, as it would be more suitable for him.
Despite the tarnished Duke's insistence on remaining at Royal Lodge, he purports he can cover the hefty estimated £2million costs for the essential renovations. Insiders suggest that this 'Siege of Royal Lodge' has severely strained the relationship between King Charles and Andrew.
Andrew has reportedly confided to friends that he is "going nowhere" and has asserted to both the King and the Crown Estate, the proprietors of Royal Lodge, his entitlement to stay due to a "cast iron lease" contracted for 75 years in 2002.

Strict Wimbledon rules and how Lewis Hamilton and Pippa Middleton got in trouble
Tickets to Wimbledon are often difficult to get hold of, but entry to the Royal Box is even more coveted, and even the elite can sometimes fall afoul of the rules Attending Wimbledon isn't as straightforward as visiting the other majors in tennis. And the criteria for a ticket in the Royal Box are even more strict than the usual red tape. So much so that even esteemed guests like Lewis Hamilton and Pippa Middleton can be denied access like anyone else. And that duo are just some of the famous faces to have failed in their efforts to comply with the rules over the years. Hamilton was educated on Wimbledon etiquette the hard way after he was invited to watch the men's singles final from the Royal Box in 2015. However, he ended up missing the clash between Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer after flaunting the dress code rules. Anyone sitting in the most prestigious seats available at SW19 is expected to dress smart, which means a tie is compulsory for men. Not only did Hamilton forget that, but he also turned up painfully late for the honour and was turned around at the door as a result. A source with knowledge of the situation said at the time: "Lewis turned up an hour late and wasn't wearing a tie. He was told he would need to put one on to enter the box but he threw a bit of hissy fit, which lasted a couple of minutes, and then left. There is a strict dress code, and the staff manning the box had no choice. He was asked not to enter the box." Hamilton, 40, had won his first Formula 1 world championship with Mercedes around six months prior to the misunderstanding. He was also named BBC Sports Personality of the Year for 2014, but that wasn't enough to earn him an exemption for the royal treatment. Tardiness was also what resulted in Middleton - the younger sister of Kate, the Princess of Wales - and mum Carole being excluded from the box. That's after they too turned up late and were prevented from sitting alongside their own family. That just goes to show how seriously Wimbledon staff take the matter. So much so that not even two extended members of the Royal Family can bag a seat if they don't meet the requirements, though Pippa and Carole were permitted to take up two standard Centre Court seats instead. And they aren't alone in that regard. That's after Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, irked the Royal Box standard-bearers in 2019. Fans spotted the wife of Prince Harry wasn't sitting next to the other members of the Royal Family, as she usually would be. And The Times reported that was due to the fact she was wearing denim jeans, which is frowned upon in Wimbledon members' areas. The same report suggested the Los Angeles-born Royal angered organisers after leaving once Serena Williams had played her match. Andy Murray was yet to play at the time, and it's considered poor form for Royal Box attendees to miss any British players in action. "She wanted to come incognito but there were problems," said an All England Club source, per The Times. "They couldn't invite her into the royal box because she was wearing jeans but that didn't really matter because all she wanted to do was come and watch Serena. Andy Murray was on Court 1 afterwards and it was a massive faux pas not to watch a Brit when she is signed up to the royal family." Former world No. 1 Ilie Nastase was also barred from entering the Royal Box in 2017 due to comments he made at the Fed Cup that year. The then-Romania captain made sexist remarks when he labelled the British duo of Anne Keothavong and Johanna Konta "f*****g b*****s" and was banned from the competitions for three years as a result. It's somewhat gratifying to think even household names are held to the same standard as anyone else. But then not all of us have the privilege of being asked to rub shoulders with royalty for one of the greatest shows in all of sport.

Only real Wimbledon fans can solve this mind-boggling brainteaser in 9 seconds
You will need some seriously sharp eyes to solve this Wimbledon-themed brainteaser - and, of course, to be a dedicated tennis fan to work this one out in just a matter of seconds Only the most eagle-eyed tennis fans will be able to crack this brainteaser in less than 10 seconds. To mark the first day of Wimbledon - nothing less than the UK tennis event of the year - challenge yourself with this tricky brainteaser and test out just how good your eyesight and attention to detail really is - and you can even up the ante a little further by sharing this one with your group chats and see who managed to solve it quickest. This brainteaser challenges you to find the tennis ball hidden away amongst rows of different fruits. For the most part, you are presented with apples, which are a similar colour to the tennis ball, adding to the confusion for your eyes and brain, and also littered in the image are other fruits like strawberries, kiwis, watermelon, and oranges. Take a look below and see if you can find the lonely tennis ball in nine seconds or less. Brainteasers like this one aren't just a bit of fun, they can also help improve your attention to detail, memory, problem-solving skills and even keep some of the adverse impacts of aging at bay. Doing a daily puzzle or challenge like this one can literally make you happier and healthier - and also massively improve your motivation levels, as each time you solve one you get a sweet dopamine hit that reminds you just how good it feels to challenge yourself. This brainteaser is a kind of optical illusion too, using the similarity of colours and repeating patterns to confuse the messages sent between your eyes and your brain. To overcome this confusion, you have to really concentrate on exactly what you see in front of you - and not skip over any detail. By really looking at the image, you will be able to overpower the assumptions your brain is making about what it thinks it is seeing. Human beings rely on thousands of assumptions every day - this is because what our eyes are seeing has to be taken in, sent to the brain, and then processed, all in a matter of milliseconds. This creates a kind of lag, so what we are consciously seeing and what is in front of us is actually fractionally delayed. To safely operate through this lag time, our brain relies on assumptions based on our previous experiences to keep us safe - and this is where brainteasers and optical illusions trip us up. It's quicker for our brains to assume all the little round green things are apples, as the image is repeated so many times, but if you pay close attention the tennis ball is hiding there in plain sight. If you think you have the answer, keep reading to see whether you were correct, but if you are still searching for the tennis ball, here is a little clue: scroll back up and take a good look at the bottom right quadrant of the image. Did you manage to find the tennis ball and, crucially, were you faster than your friends? If you solved this one in nine seconds or less, give yourself a pat on the back and declare yourself the world's biggest tennis fan. Took you a little longer? Keep practicing with the Mirror's extensive games and teasers.

Russell Crowe turns heads with dapper accessory as he attends Wimbledon with fiancée Brittany Theriot
Russell Crowe cut quite the dapper figure this week when he attended the Wimbledon tennis championships in London with fiancée Brittany Theriot. The Gladiator star, 61, was all class in a dark blue suit paired with designer sunglasses and a multicoloured tartan tie. Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, on Tuesday, Russell gave fans an insight into the meaning behind his tartan accessory. Sharing an image of him and Brittany watching the action courtside, next to a close-up of his tie, Russell revealed it was a quiet nod to his Scottish heritage. 'The tie? Fraser of Lovat. In honour of all the Lord's Lovat,' he wrote. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. Russell was referring to Fraser of Lovat – a Highland Scottish clan that has been associated with the area surrounding Inverness since the 13th century. The actor's nod to his Scottish forebears elicited a raft of responses from fans, with the likes of: 'Russell, you rock that tie. I like it.' Another summed up the sentiment of many with: 'Nice tie! Colours fit you well. You look younger.' Others, however, were quick to point out that the tartan displayed on Russell's tie might not be from Clan Fraser of Lovat. 'Actually it's Fraser Hunting Ancient, not Fraser of Lovat, but it's all made-up stuff so don't worry,' one fan commented. Another added: 'He's wearing the Hunting Ancient tartan, Lovat has deeper colours.' The actor revealed on X, in January last year, after digging into his family tree, that he was related to Simon Fraser, 11th Lord Lovat, on his father's side. Fraser has the notorious honour of being the last man to be beheaded in Britain, when he was executed on Tower Hill in 1747. Sharing an image of he and Brittany watching the action courtside, next to a close-up of his tie, Russell revealed it was a quiet nod to his Scottish heritage. 'The tie? Fraser of Lovat. In honour of all the Lord's Lovat,' he wrote His killing led to the phrase 'laughing your head off' when, moments before he was put to death, a scaffold holding spectators collapsed, prompting the rebel to break out in fits of the giggles. 'Also something else that has recently come to light on my father's mother's side, via John ( Jock ) Fraser (arrived in NZ in 1841) we directly connect back to Simon Fraser. 11th Lord Lovat. Look him up,' Russell wrote at the time. 'He's quite the character. The Old Fox they used to call him. 'Seems his Machiavellian ways caught up to him at the age of 80, & he has a claim to infamy as the last man to have the head chopped off his living body in the Tower of London. His death even coined a phrase.' It comes after Russell and Brittany added fuel to the engagement fire when the actor's ladylove, 33, lifted her hand to flash a diamond ring while watching the tennis. The Art Deco-style sparkler sat in what appeared to be a platinum band and boasted several carats. Russell was clearly having a ball with his love, the two laughing and chatting together throughout the match. Brittany was glowing in a pink floral gown in pastel tones, featuring a pussy bow with a polka dot pattern. She added some mixed metal accessories, including a chunky gold watch and a silver knot bracelet. It comes after Russell ignited rumours he is set to tie the knot with Brittany in Rome. The pair had earlier sparked speculation they are engaged when Brittany was seen sporting a diamond ring. Claims are circulating that they are eyeing up an Italian wedding after reportedly visiting a church during their latest visit to the city. The couple, who started dating in 2020, visited Rome last year when Russell performed with his band The Gentlemen Barbers at the Forum Theatre. They were spotted sightseeing during their lavish getaway and reportedly visited a church in the city. 'Italy was always going to be their wedding destination. Every time they go there, they come back more in love,' an insider told Woman's Day.
