Varun Dhawan is one of the top actors in Bollywood. He has played romantic roles in many of his films, such as Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania , Coolie No. 1 , Student of the Year , Badrinath Ki Dulhania , and Jugjugg Jeeyo , to name a few.
His one film, released in 2014, is still watched in 2025, and the reason is not a good storyline or good acting. The movie scene of Main Tera Hero went viral when a BTS video from the sets of the film was shared. The clip shows Varun and Nargis performing a kiss scene. When the director asked him to cut the scene short, he continued the scene even after the director said, 'Cut… Cut… Cut!'

In an interview with ETimes, Nargis said he is the most fun-loving person on the set and he is her favourite co-star. 'I think I had the most fun with Varun Dhawan on the set. He is really full of energy and positivity and he is funny', she said.
Main Tera Hero movie also featured Ileana D'Cruz, Varun's love interest. The lead actor romances both the actresses.
The film was directed by Varun's father David Dhawan and produced by Shobha Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor under Balaji Motion Pictures. The movie, remake of 2011 Telugu movie Kandireega, also featured Arunoday Singh, Anupam Kher, Rajpal Yadav and Shakti Kapoor.
