When the director asked him to cut the scene short, he continued the scene even after the director said, 'Cut… Cut… Cut!' After Varun stopped kissing Nargis, the crew laughed out loud, making him embarrassed. The film was directed by Varun's father David Dhawan and produced by Shobha Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor under Balaji Motion Pictures. The movie, remake of 2011 Telugu movie Kandireega, also featured Arunoday Singh, Anupam Kher, Rajpal Yadav and Shakti Kapoor.
