Sheriff's Office: Churchville man missing
The Augusta County Sheriff's Office said in a press release that a Churchville man is missing.
Ronald L. Mitchell, 68, was last seen by a family member on April 30.
The agency said Mitchell is 5 feet, 6 inches tall and weighs 135 pounds. The release said he is bald with brown eyes.
Mitchell could be driving a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado with Virginia tags of VVK-2243.

A 911 call reporting the incident was placed to Monroe County Central Dispatch about 11:15 p.m. Tuesday, relating a description of the vehicle and a direction of travel after a firearm was discharged in the 4000 block of South Huron River Drive. A total of eight gunshots were heard, according to the Monroe County Sheriff's Office report. As deputies searched the area for the vehicle involved, they found a vehicle matching the description in the 14000 block of Chamberlin Road. Officers found evidence inside the vehicle that was "consistent with involvement in the incident." The vehicle's owner was questioned and released. The motive for the shooting is not known by officers. No property damage was reported as a result of the incident. The sheriff's office is still investigating and asks that anyone with information regarding the gunshots contact Deputy Austin Graham at 734-240-7758. 3 teens arrested after deadly shooting in Panama City Beach
PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. (WMBB) – The Panama City Beach Police Department has arrested three teenagers in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred Tuesday night. According to a news release, authorities working in the area of the Waffle House located at 10327 Front Beach Road, heard gunfire coming from the parking lot shortly after 10 p.m. Authorities responded quickly and found 19-year-old Ja'Dion Love Hughes suffering from a gunshot wound. Hughes was taken to Ascension Sacred Heart, where he later died from the injuries. The course of the investigation revealed that a physical altercation happened in the Waffle House parking lot over the purchase of an illegal firearm. Authorities said that during the altercation, 18-year-old Ja'Zai Mitchell allegedly shot and killed Hughes. After the shooting, 18-year-old Kiydre McCullough attempted to dispose of the weapon by hiding it in bushes nearby before he fled the scene with Mitchell in a red Chevrolet Camaro. The authorities said that as the suspects were fleeing, Mitchell disposed of another firearm by throwing it from the vehicle into the shoulder of the road. Soon after, authorities located and stopped the vehicle, taking Mitchell and McCullough into custody. Mitchell is being charged with Second Degree Murder, Attempted Murder, Tampering with Evidence and Grand Theft of a Firearm. McCullough is being charged with Accessory After the Fact to Second-Degree Murder, Accessory After the Fact to Attempted Murder and Tampering with Evidence. The third suspect, a 16-year-old, is being charged with Violation of Probation and has been transported to the Department of Juvenile Justice for processing. Bronx suspect wanted for stabbing 39-year-old man to death escaped in cab
A suspect wanted for stabbing a 39-year-old man to death outside a historic former Bronx NYPD stationhouse made his getaway in a cab — where a surveillance camera captured his image, police said Wednesday. Cops on Wednesday released a surveillance image of the suspect taken inside the cab and asked the public's help identifying him and tracking him down. Victim Shamel Parnell got into an argument with his killer before being stabbed in the neck and chest on Bathgate Ave. near E. Tremont Ave. at about 12:20 a.m. Monday, cops said. Medics rushed Parnell to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he died about 25 minutes later, officials said. 'I still haven't cried,' the victim's shocked mother, Sherri Parnell, 61, told the Daily News Tuesday. 'I couldn't sleep last night. I still can't believe it.' The stabber fled in a dark-colored cab last seen heading west on E. 179th St., cops said. Cops recovered a knife at the scene. Sherri Parnell hadn't seen her son for more than a decade when he was killed. 'He stayed with me a little when I lived in another part of the Bronx but he'd always be going out, coming in,' she said. 'I didn't know what he was doing,' 'When the officers came yesterday, they showed me a picture and it was him,' she added. 'I haven't seen him in some years, many years really. Approximately 12 years. But that's still my son.' The building Parnell was stabbed in front of housed the NYPD's 48th Precinct for decades but is now home to a Head Start program.
