A WOMAN, 25, mistaken for her 59-year-old mum's sister has hit back at the brutal online trolls.
Beauty buff Coco Pons went viral on TikTok earlier this month after she shared an adorable make-up video with her mum, 59, before heading to a wedding.

In the video, which has since racked up close to 7million views, the wholesome mother and daughter duo could be seen doing their make-up and hair.
But while the two stunners looked incredible both with and without the glowy make-up, the clip, unfortunately, landed on the so-called 'wrong side of TikTok'.
Hiding behind their profiles, thousands of online trolls flooded to comments, where many said Coco looked ''the same age'' as her mum - who is more than 25 years older.
While some wondered if the two were ''sisters'', others dubbed the cute duo ''older twins'', as they begged Coco to start using ''sunscreen''.
Meanwhile, some brutal viewers refused to believe the daughter was 25 - and others shared their unsolicited beauty tips to ''look younger''.
After reading the thousands of ''awful and nasty'' comments about her looks, the US-based TikToker posted a follow-up message hitting back at the meanies.
Sharing a series of snaps of herself and her mum, Coco said: ''I've never had anything done to my face because I felt like it wasn't necessary.
''I've always had freckles and pale skin because I'm a ginger,'' said Coco who posts under the username @curatedbycoco___.
Coco, who's always sported ''blonde eyebrows'' trolls urged her to dye ''darker'', added that she's also using sun cream - despite what some may think.
''I have, wear a tonne of sunscreen because I live at the beach - and I've never entered a tanning bed in my life.''
I've lost 9 stone & am barely recognisable from my former self - my transformation's so insane people even think it's AI
She went on: ''I don't remember asking others for opinions. And I couldn't care less what random people think about us.
''Keep your comments to yourself next time speaking about someone looks,'' Coco urged everyone to be kinder in the caption.
The latest video has since taken the internet by storm, amassing more than 8million views and over 535k likes.
Why is turmeric good for anti-ageing?
A study published in the Asia Pacific Journal of Clinical Nutrition suggests that turmeric and curcumin may help prevent DNA damage and aid in DNA repair.
This is promising news for disease prevention and slowing the ageing process. It also:
Boosts Collagen Production: Collagen is a protein that maintains the skin's elasticity and firmness. As we age, collagen production decreases, leading to wrinkles and sagging skin. Turmeric helps stimulate collagen synthesis, thereby promoting firmer and more youthful skin.
Improves Skin Health: Turmeric has been shown to improve various skin conditions, such as acne, psoriasis, and eczema. Its antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties help soothe the skin, reduce redness, and promote a clearer complexion.
One fan said: ''PEOPLE ONLINE ARE MISERABLE!!!! You're beautiful!''
Someone else chimed in: ''you're just a happy person with smile lines why is everyone so mean.''
A third commented: ''You are STUNNING. Unsolicited opinion, I think if you filled in your brows darker it would have a youthful effect. But truly you look your age and are gorgeous.''
Meanwhile, another wrote: ''As a fellow ginger we are more prone to sunburn which means drier, wrinkle prone skin.
''Many people are overdoing it but both you guys need/needed to protect your skin more. People wouldn't point it out if it wasn't in our face.''

'I met the creepy doctor charged with supplying drugs to tragic Matthew Perry'

Dr. Salvador Plasencia, charged with supplying drugs to Matthew Perry, left one of his former patients 'with the creeps' after an 'odd' visit to his deserted surgery A reporter and super fan who was at Matthew Perry 's home hours after the star died says she met the doctor charged with supplying drugs to the star and he gave her the creeps. Katy Forrester has recalled what she saw the day the acting legend died back in 2023 - and the former patient of Dr. Salvador Plasencia says she knew something wasn't right about him. Matthew's doctor has pleaded guilty to supplying the Friends actor with ketamine before his tragic death. He admitted four counts to a federal court judge in Los Angeles last month, having branded the late actor a "moron" in text messages." He was one of five people who were charged in connection with the 54-year-old death two years ago. Now the former patient has given her account and says she had an 'incredibly odd' visit to the crooked physician. 'He'd given me the creeps,' the editor at The US Sun wrote. 'After filling out forms and heading into a private room, the same man then appeared in a white coat and joked he was not just the receptionist, he was also the doctor. 'When I realised who I'd been treated by and read the sweeping indictment, I felt slightly sick, it made the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end." She went on to say in the article: "I have also witnessed the all-too-prevalent Hollywood culture of 'doctor shopping', which sees greedy, immoral doctors dishing out killer drugs to rich and famous addicts for a handsome profit." The actor was found unresponsive in a hot tub at his home in Los Angeles on October 28, 2023. He died at 4.17pm on the same day, aged 54. An investigation found the cause of Perry's death to be ruled as an accident from the 'acute effects of ketamine', the exact manner of which came from drowning. He starred alongside Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer for 10 seasons from 1994 to 2004 on NBC's mega hit sitcom, but he struggled with addiction for years, dating back to his time on the show, when he became one of the biggest stars of his generation as Chandler Bing. California-based Plasencia had already been charged following the death of much-loved Matthew. He has pleaded guilty to four counts of illegal distribution of the drug, which is used as a prescription anaesthetic. Prosecutors said that he now faces up to 40 years in prison when he is sentenced. He had previously pleaded not guilty, but in exchange for the guilty pleas prosecutors agreed to drop three additional counts of distribution of ketamine and two counts of falsifying records. Prosecutors outlined the charges in court before the plea, and said along with Plasencia's lawyers that he did not sell Perry the dose that killed the actor. They described, and Plasencia admitted, that Perry froze up and his blood pressure spiked when the doctor gave him one injection, but Plasencia still left more ketamine for Perry's assistant to inject. In his memoir, he admitted that he struggled to watch Friends because it reminded him of the tough times he went through. 'I didn't watch the show, and haven't watched the show, because I could go, drinking, opiates, drinking, cocaine,' he later added. 'I could tell season by season by how I looked. That's why I don't wanna watch it, because that's what I see.' Perry explained: 'I was taking 55 Vicodin a day, I weighed 128 lbs, I was on Friends getting watched by 30 million people — and that's why I can't watch the show, 'cause I was brutally thin." 'I had a rule that I would never drink or do drugs while working,' he said. 'Because I had too much respect for the five people I was working with. So I was never wasted while working.'

Maura Higgins 'cashes in with new US job' just weeks after wrapping up Traitors US in a huge career boost

has reportedly 'cashed in with a new US job' just weeks after filming the Traitors US. The Love Island star, 34, is set to host a newly commissioned Aftersun for the upcoming Love Island Games after she impressed bosses on the regular show. An TV insider told The Sun: 'The first series of Love Island Games didn't have an Aftersun sister show as it was pre-recorded and aired at a later date, but this time around for season 2 it will air in real time like the regular show does. 'As a result, bosses have commissioned an Aftersun series to run as a companion show and it will be fronted by Maura Higgins, who hosts Aftersun for the regular Love Island USA. 'Maura was thrilled to be asked to do it, as Games is a totally separate show so there was no guarantee she would be offered it.' The source added the Irish stunner was 'over the moon' when bosses approached her, branding her 'a key fixture in the Love Island USA family'. The source added: 'Her stateside career is going from strength to strength and comes off the back of her doing Traitors US. Maura would love to spend more time doing work in the US and it feels like this is the next step to that.' The TV favourite was previously featured on Love Island USA's fifth season, which streams on Peacock, and is now rumoured to be whisking off to Fiji for her next gig. The report comes after it emerged her and Danny Jones are reportedly set for an awkward reunion, months after their drunken kiss at the BRITs hit the headlines. The married McFly singer, 39, and his marriage to model wife Georgia, 38, was rocked after the I'm A Celeb winner shared a drunken kiss with campmate Maura at a Universal Records party and further reports claimed the pair had continued their night until 6am, sharing wine together at Nobu Hotel bar. Since the scandal, neither have been attended any of the same events, but now Danny and Maura, 34, could soon come face to face, as they walk the red carpet for the National Television Awards at the beginning of September. The ITV jungle show has picked up 15 nominations and is traditionally shortlisted for Best Entertainment category. In the past, the winner of I'm A Celebrity has joined hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly on stage as they collect the gong - meaning Danny could be at risk of bumping into Maura. A source told The Sun: 'Danny is expected to attend NTAs on September 10, as have all previous reigning jungle winners and Maura is also going. 'She is the queen of a red carpet moment and adores getting glammed up. There will have to be some clever choreography to ensure they don't end up next to each other when walking the red carpet but they could both end up on stage if I'm A Celebrity wins. They added: 'Maura won't be answering any questions about the kiss. She's put the incident behind her and feels she has nothing to be ashamed of.' At the time of the incident, Danny, apologised to his wife and family for 'putting them in this situation'. Georgia, who is a former Miss England, temporarily moved out of the family home in the wake of the kissing scandal back in April. But after deciding to give their marriage a second chance, she returned to the property as sources claimed Danny was willing to do 'anything to make it work.' In recent weeks, Danny has been quietly working on repairing the couples 11 year marriage and has just come back from a family holiday with Georgia and their little boy Cooper, seven. Sharing a slew of snaps to his Instagram, the family looked happy and relaxed as the posed by the sea all together, glowing from the sun and fresh faced from their sunny getaway. Danny and Georgia beamed for the camera and in another shot, Danny posted a picture of the three of them walking down some cobbled streets, with Georgia grinning from ear to ear. Since the scandal, neither have been attended any of the same events, but now Danny and Maura could soon come face to face, as they walk the red carpet for the National Television Awards at the beginning of September (pictured together on I'm A Celebrity) Georgia, who's a former Miss England, temporarily moved out of the family home in the wake of the kissing scandal last month but decided to give Danny a second chance (Danny and Georgia pictured) Alongside the images, he wrote: 'Sunshiiiiine' in a nod to the Oasis gig he had been privy to witness a few days earlier.

A new start after 60: I read out my old diaries online – and my youthful secrets went viral

Betsy Lerner doesn't see herself as a TikTok star – though the New York Times described her as one – or an influencer. That means payment and swag – all she's had is a free pen. 'I really do it for myself,' she says, 'and for the people who follow me'. Lerner, 64, has for 20 years worked as a literary agent for writers including Patti Smith and Temple Grandin. She's an author of nonfiction and now of a debut novel, Shred Sisters – 'a love letter to loneliness'. But the 'doing' she's talking about is on TikTok, where she has amassed 1.5m likes for videos in which she reads from the diaries she wrote in her turbulent 20s. 'You don't know who you'll love, who will love you, what you will do for work, what is your purpose,' she says in one post. 'This morning I found one line in my diary that just sums [your 20s] up: 'I feel as if I don't know who I am, today.'' Lerner posts in her dressing gown, without makeup. Initially she explored BookTok to support her authors. But with her own novel forthcoming, she started posting, camera off, and got no followers. 'A friend told me, you need to be on camera and think of it as your own TV channel … I thought, 'Well, maybe I will read from my old diaries.'' She'd kept one from the age of 11, after reading Anne Frank's The Diary of a Young Girl. 'I wrote my first poems in there. I vented. I tried to analyse myself …' Her journals from the ages of 12 to 18 were lost when her car was stolen, but those from her 20s – about 30 volumes – were stowed in a crawl space in her attic. 'My diaries are very sad. They're all about being lonely, looking for love, looking for friendship, trying to figure out who I was,' she says. Lerner describes herself as 'a late bloomer'. She was accepted on to Columbia's MFA poetry programme at 26, entering publishing in her late 20s when most editorial assistants were fresh from college. 'I didn't fall in love till I was 30. I'd never had any significant relationships … I lost a lot of my teenage years and most of my 20s struggling with depression.' When she was 15, her parents had taken her to a psychiatrist, and she had been diagnosed with bipolar disorder. 'I didn't want to accept that I had this illness. I fought it a lot,' she says. Her 2003 memoir, Food and Loathing, documents her relationship with her weight, food, depression and more, and at one point in her late 20s describes her straddling a ledge on a bridge above the Hudson River. The turning point came at 30. She found a psychopharmacologist – who 'figured out' the right lithium dosage (they've worked together for 35 years) – and she got married. Her diaries stopped. She had written them alone in bed at night. But now, 'I just didn't feel that sad and lonely any more', she says. For years, Lerner says, 'I gravitated toward a lot of intensity.' Now, 'I prioritise stability over everything.' She had never thought she'd write a novel. But in 2019 she came through 'four very tragic deaths'. She lost her mother, then her teenage niece and nephew, Ruby and Hart Campbell, who were killed by a drunk driver, and her best friend, the writer George Hodgman, who died by suicide. 'I still don't know who I'm grieving for at any given time,' she says. In the aftermath of these deaths she started to write Shred Sisters, partly inspired by the online workouts – shredding – she and her two sisters did during Covid to take care of each other, and as 'a way of working through all of that grief'. She is already writing another novel, and for as long as there is material in the diaries, and there is TikTok, she will continue to share them. 'It's all about trying to connect and communicate,' she says. 'There's a constant stream of comments from kids in their 20s who identify with my struggles. That's really what keeps me going. I feel this connection to these kids … I try to say, I felt the same. Hang in. Some heart emojis. Just a little something to say, 'You're recognised.''
