Country Fest artist coming to Canton. First ticketed show announced for Centennial Plaza
Niko Moon, who blends country, pop and Caribbean sounds, will bring his upbeat island vacation vibe to the outdoor venue Sept. 19.
Hometown Jams, an Indiana-based promoter, announced the concert Monday morning. Tickets go on sale to the general public on June 20 through https://www.hometownjams.com and at https://www.ticketmaster.com. Presale tickets will be available starting June 17.
Moon is a newer musical artist, releasing his first album, "Good Time" in 2021 before following up with "Better Days" in 2024. And he's already released three songs this year to be included on a new album.
His music blends easy-listening pop with country music and Caribbean and hip-hop influences. Moon also draws comparisons to Zac Brown Band and Jimmy Buffett.
Popular songs include "Good Time," "Paradise to Me" and "Way Back." "Good Time" reached No. 1 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart, and the YouTube video for the song has 93 million views while "Paradise to Me" has tallied 21 million views.
Prior to going solo, Moon was a member of Sir Rosevelt alongside country singer-songwriter Zac Brown and Ben Simonetti. Sir Rosevelt was a dance-pop side project of Brown of the Zac Brown Band. Sir Rosevelt released a self-titled album in 2017.
Moon also co-produced the Zac Brown Band's 2015 album Jekyll + Hyde, as well as the band's 2017 studio release, "Welcome Home." The Texas native also has penned songs for Dierks Bentley Rascal Flatts, Morgan Wallen, Pitbull and others.
Boasting 233,000 followers on Facebook and 337,000 followers on Instagram, the Nashville-based artist was named SESAC country songwriter of the year in 2021.
The event will be the first full-blown, ticketed concert at Centennial Plaza, following a change in management of the downtown space.
ASM Global, the company that operates the Canton Memorial Civic Center, is now in charge of managing the venue and booking entertainment there under a lease agreement with the city of Canton.
'The City of Canton and ASM Global are excited to combine the amazing backdrop of Centennial Plaza with the feel good, infectious energy of a Niko Moon concert," said Blake Schilling, general manager of the Civic Center.
Schilling said ASM Global and the city have created a preliminary security plan with the Canton Police Department and Police Chief John Gabbard for the concert. Security will be provided by both Canton police and the Cleveland-based security and crowd management company CSC.
Capacity for the Centennial Plaza concert is estimated at 2,000 people, Schilling said. The concert will be moved to the Civic Center if there's inclement weather, he said.

The concert is being presented by Hometown Jams, a company founded in 2018 that produces entertainment in communities across the Midwest. Hometown Jams says its focus is "on creating memorable experiences and connecting fans and artists ... (and) delivering big city vibes without the hassle − right in your backyard."
'Niko brings a feel-good energy that's impossible not to move to,' Tyrus Joseforsky, founder of Hometown Jams, said in a news release. 'There's no better artist to help us kick things off in Ohio than in Canton with Niko Moon − and Centennial Plaza is the perfect backdrop for what's going to be an unforgettable night.'
'This show is the beginning of something special for Canton,' Joseforsky said. 'We've had our eyes on this city for a while, and Niko Moon is the perfect way to say, 'We're here.''
Canton will be a stop on a summerlong tour for Moon, which includes concerts in Wisconsin, Minnesota, New York, Virginia, New Jersey, Indiana, Oregon and Texas. Moon is scheduled to perform in Fort Thomas, Kentucky the day before his Stark County appearance.
Moon recently performed in Stark County, filling the second slot on June 12 at The Country Fest, a four-day country music festival that draws thousands of fans and campers to Clay's Resort Jellystone Park near Canal Fulton.
Tracks included the catchy and infectiously melodic, "Boat Song," a recent single. Another 2025 release, "I Love This Beach" embodies the same laid-back, flip-flop sandal, backyard party vibe. Moon's most recent single, "Sandcastles" is a carefree island country ballad ready-made for concert crowd singalongs and arm waving.
Playing under a sunlit blue sky, Moon strolled barefoot across the Country Fest stage and catwalk in a matching Hawaiian-style shirt and shorts. A yellow plastic cup was often in one hand and a microphone in the other. Moon also strummed an acoustic guitar on a few songs.
Fans can expect the same relaxed atmosphere when he performs in Canton in what Hometown Jams describes as "an immersive outdoor experience." The show also will feature food vendors and cold beverages, the announcement said.

Kody Phillips Takes Us to the Cabaret for Fall/Winter 2025
Summary When you're looking at aKody Phillipscampaign, you know you're looking at a Kody Phillips campaign. It's through these captivating, quick-hitting visuals that the New York City-based label has nabbed a recurring top spot on our social media algorithms, transcending from a locally loved staple into a well-situated menswear outfitter with a growing global presence. The label's campaign for the Fall/Winter 2025 season is no stray away from the storytelling playbook, revelling in its retro-modern design approach and bringing the theatrical flair of the cabaret into a collection entitled 'The Great Show.' Phillips' largest and most ambitious presentation to date, 'The Great Show,' epitomizes the designer's commitment to sharp storytelling – and not, by any means, at the sacrifice of top-tier craftsmanship. Lensed by long-term creative direction collaborator of the brand, Kizzy Kalu, the latest ready-to-wear range is showcased in a lookbook set on a cabaret stage: curtains closed, light fixtures and prop ladders in place. The collection comes complete with both highly anticipated new silhouettes as well as a lineup of reworked signature pieces – the latter including a cleanly crafted Italian leather lasso jacket, finished off withPhillips' signature trim on the edges. For the first time ever, a handful of accessories shine under the spotlight, consisting of pastel pink riding gloves, elevated with all-over pearl detailing, while elsewhere, the coveted Rip Van Kody pants and Mesh Polo top are both revamped in new colorways. Before or after the curtain call, 'The Great Show' glimmers with elegance, asserting the bubbling brand, once again, as a force to be reckoned with in the high fashion zeitgeist. Check out the full collection in the lookbook above, and shop the drop when it lands on the Kody Phillipswebstorethis Friday, August 15.

WNBA stars Candace Parker, Aliyah Boston team up on new career venture
The post WNBA stars Candace Parker, Aliyah Boston team up on new career venture appeared first on ClutchPoints. WNBA legend Candace Parker may have ended her on-court career, but she's found plenty to keep herself busy off the court. Outside of her retirement achievements — which include becoming the president of Adidas women's basketball, getting involved with media coverage of the W, and releasing a book in June — Parker is now linking up with Indiana Fever star Aliyah Boston to host a personal podcast titled 'Post Moves.' The first episode is set to debut on July 30 and air new episodes every Wednesday. The premiere will cover all things WNBA All-Star Weekend, which should come with some fun and behind-the-scenes insight from Boston, who's participating for the third-straight season. The pair made the announcement in a promo video posted to the 'Post Moves' podcast's profile on X, formerly Twitter. 'Both of us post players dominate the paint in our own way,' Parker explained. 'Even though we're from different generations, we've got a lot to say about the game and life off the court as well.' 'Candace, you know you've been someone I've looked up to since I was a kid,' Boston chimed in. 'And now, I get to do a podcast with you?' Parker retired in 2024 as one of the best and most decorated basketball players of all time. She walked away from the WNBA with two MVP Awards and three championships with the Los Angeles Sparks, Las Vegas Aces, and Chicago Sky across 16 seasons. Parker sits top 10 in the W in points, assists, rebounds, and blocks, making her the only player to achieve the feat, and is also the only player to win Rookie of the Year and MVP in the same year. Parker will also be just the second-ever to have two jerseys retired, with the Sparks' ceremony having happened on June 29 and the Sky planning to hoist her name into the rafters on August 25. The superstar also has two NCAA titles under her belt, hoisting the trophy in 2007 and 2008 as a member of the legendary Pat Summit's Tennessee squad. Boston is in the process of building up her own notable career, unanimously claiming the 2023 Rookie of the Year after being taken first overall by the Fever. The 23-year-old will have a chance to ball out when she takes the court for Team Caitlin during the 2025 WNBA All-Star Game. Sophie Cunningham rips Caitlin Clark for 'ruining' swimsuit promotional deals, mocks her skin tone
Sophie Cunningham may be Caitlin Clark's "enforcer" teammate, but isn't holding back from clapping back at Clark herself for disagreements on how they spend their off-time. Clark recently took aim at Cunningham and fellow Fever star Lexie Hull for a social media video showing Cunningham and Hull in swimsuits by a pool ahead of last week's game against the Los Angeles Sparks. The caption read, "Convince us there's a swimsuit brand that wants to partner with two Indiana Fever mermaids." Clark commented on the video, "Swimsuit brands plz comment 'focus on basketball." Cunningham addressed the online interaction during an episode of her podcast on Wednesday, pointing out the fact that Clark has been sidelined with injury from the team for about a month. "Dude, you are ruining me and Lexie's deals. We're the ones who have actually been playing, and we need a little break, and that's when we go to the pool. And I think only like five companies reached out," Cunningham said. Cunningham then made it a point to mock Clark for her apparent differing swimsuit style and even Clark's skin tone. "I was like, 'Dude, you don't have to be a hater. I'll get you like a one piece that only shows your eyes,'" Cunningham said. "She did something and has this big bruise on her leg, and I was like, 'You're finally getting color.'" Cunningham originally responded to Clark in the TikTok with a since-deleted comment that read, "maybe a brand will make a full body wet suit for your pale a-- too… We all win!" Cunningham previously became a viral sensation and one of the WNBA's most popular players after starting a fight against Connecticut Sun player Jacy Sheldon in defense of Clark in June. Cunningham was ejected and fined for the altercation, but saw a surge in social media followers after the incident, quickly crossing a million on TikTok and Instagram. It quickly earned Cunningham the title of "enforcer" among Clark's fans. Cunningham has also repeatedly spoken out in defense of Clark against perceived unfair referee treatment and targeting by other players, and has asserted Clark is the "face of the league." But now, Cunningham isn't straying away from taking some verbal jabs at Clark herself.
