What Is Golf Force One, Donald Trump's New Armoured Buggy
A heavily armoured black buggy was spotted trailing and keeping a close watch on US President Donald Trump during a weekend round of golf at his resort in Scotland. The vehicle, a stark contrast to Trump's usual white golf cart, has fuelled speculation about a new layer of protection following past threats to his life. The vehicle, which resembles a modified Polaris Ranger XP, moved silently but visibly close to the US President as he played, its presence hardly blending in with the manicured greens. While the US Secret Service reportedly declined to confirm whether the cart forms part of Trump's security detail, security experts have little doubt about its purpose. What Is Golf Force One? Nicknamed informally ' Golf Force One ', the armoured buggy appears to be a bespoke creation tailored for defensive mobility on the golf course. Its features, including a darkened windscreen, reinforced side panels and thick rear casing, suggest it has been specially fortified to withstand ballistic threats. "Just looking at the front windscreen, that looks armoured," Gary Relf, director of Armoured Car Services, was quoted as telling The Telegraph. Relf added that such modifications are often subtle yet significant. "From those photos, that is 100% armoured," he said. "The windscreen is a giveaway, as are the side panels, doors and the large panel at the rear above the load tray." The buggy's tinted windows may indicate transparent armour, according to Relf. He also pointed out that the overall design appears to prioritise defence, offering strong protection while remaining lightweight enough to preserve the integrity of the golf course surface. Heightened Security After Attempted Attacks According to The Telegraph, the secret service neither confirmed nor denied whether the cart was armoured or connected to Donald Trump 's security arrangements. The agency does not disclose the tools or techniques used to protect the president. In September 2024, Trump narrowly escaped an assassination attempt at Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida. A man named Ryan Routh aimed a Soviet-style SKS rifle at the US President. Agents conducting a sweep spotted Routh hidden about 400 yards away and fired at him. He dropped the weapon and fled in an SUV, only to be arrested during a traffic stop less than an hour later. It was the second assassination attempt on Trump in 2024. The first took place in July at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, when a gunman opened fire, killing one person and wounding Trump in the ear.

Caught on camera: Donald Trump cheats at golf in Scotland; netizens say, ‘Of course!'
US President Donald Trump is currently in Scotland as his family's business prepares for the August 13 opening of a new golf course bearing his name in Balmedie, Aberdeenshire. The Aberdeen area is already home to another of his courses, Trump International Scotland. Trump said upon arrival on Friday evening that his son Eric Trump is 'gonna cut a ribbon' for the new course during his trip. However, there's one incident reportedly from a Trump course near Turnberry, that has trumped Trump's visit to his homeland and his love for golf this time – allegations of cheating at the game. A viral video on social media shows the staff at a golf course handling a golf ball near a sand trap, which the US President then putts. This sparked accusations of Trump cheating at his favourite sport. However, this is not the first time Trump has been accused of manipulating his golf game. Believe it or not, there is an actual book on it titled 'Commander in Cheat: How Golf Explains Trump' by Rick Reilly. Social media users weren't surprised by the viral video of Donald Trump allegedly cheating in a golf game, and the first of their reactions was a simple, 'Of course!' The netizens also joked about how he'd just blame it on former US President Barack Obama. 'Of course he did,' said an unsurprised user. 'Super on brand,' added another. A user claimed, 'Con man gonna con,' to which another added, 'Never not cheating – in golf, on wives, in business, on taxes, in elections.' 'That's not even cheating for him anymore… that's his everyday life,' said another. 'Another FLAWLESS game, Mr. President,' quipped a user. 'He can never play fair, not even at the sport he's supposed to excel,' added another. 'The only skill he got is LYING!' exclaimed a user. Another added, 'The only way he wins anything…CHEATING.' 'I wonder how much the guy gets paid for tossing the ball? Let's pay more to hear how it all went down. I'm sure it's a wonderful story!' a user joked. 'Must be one of those balls they just pops up and wow you hit pretty good, it would've been great if it was a live tournament and it happened on tv,' another added. A user joked, 'I'm sure he'll say Obama did it.' 'I'm sure he'll just blame Obama. And they'll believe it,' added another. Donald Trump will be in Scotland until Tuesday, July 29, and plans to talk trade with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen. The White House has brushed off questions about potential conflicts of interest, arguing that Trump's business success before he entered politics was a key to his appeal with voters. White House spokesperson Taylor Rogers called the Scotland swing a 'working trip." But she added Trump 'has built the best and most beautiful world-class golf courses anywhere in the world, which is why they continue to be used for prestigious tournaments and by the most elite players in the sport.'

Trump's Epstein headache: Frustrated but won't create ‘bigger spectacle by firing anyone,' report quotes aide
Despite applying numerous diversion tactics, the Epstein Files scandal continues to remain a persistent headache for US President Donald Trump, with reports suggesting that he is frustrated with his government's handling of the case read more As the Epstein scandal takes America by storm, reports are emerging that US President Donald Trump is increasingly frustrated with how his administration is handling the furore surrounding his ties with the convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Officials close to the matter told The Washington Post that the president is upset with how the scandal has overshadowed his agenda. However, two people familiar with the matter claimed that despite being upset with the team, Trump would not sack anyone, because a firing would act like fuel to the fire that Trump wants to die down. The president's exasperation follows weeks of missteps and no clear strategy among top officials who underestimated the outrage, especially from the president's base, and hoped the country would forget about the unreleased Epstein Files. STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD 'This is a pretty substantial distraction,' one person close to the situation told The Washington Post. 'While many are trying to keep the unity, in many ways, the DOJ and the FBI are breaking at the seams. Many are wondering how sustainable this is going to be for all the parties involved — be it the FBI director or attorney general.' Trump is hesitant to say 'You're fired' Despite his frustration, officials said that Trump has been hesitant to make personnel changes. 'He does not want to create a bigger spectacle by firing anyone,' a person close to the president told the American news outlet. At the centre of the storm is US Attorney General . For months, the release of the Epstein Files was one of Bondi's signature agendas. However, during the July Fourth holiday weekend, Bondi, her top deputy and FBI leaders swiftly gave final approval to an unsigned memo about the Epstein files that ignited a whole new furore. The controversial memo argued that the Trump administration had found no evidence to dispute that Epstein died by suicide in jail in 2019 and said there was no 'client list' that would lead them to prosecute anyone else. Apart from this, the memo noted that no more documents would be released in the case in order to protect the privacy of the victims. The memo garnered backlash from both Democrats and Trump's Make America Great Again (MAGA) Movement supporters. Both sides started to demand more transparency while the White House struggled to respond. Since then, anonymous officials claim that Trump and Bondi have been discussing the matter 'almost every day'. 'They completely miscalculated the fever pitch to which they built this up,' Stephen A. Saltzburg, a former Justice Department official in the Reagan and George H.W. Bush administrations, told The Washington Post. 'Now, they seem to be in full-bore panic mode, trying to change the subject and flailing to make sense of what makes no sense," he added. STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD The cracks within the Trump team White House soon went into a damage control mode with a steady series of announcements from the administration has failed to quiet the clamor, including the release of FBI records on the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.'s assassination, a newly launched investigation into former FBI director James B. Comey and an substantive treason accusation against former president Barack Obama over the 2016 presidential election. However, none of it seemed to sway the public's attention from the Epstein files. 'We had the Greatest Six Months of any President in the History of our Country, and all the Fake News wants to talk about is the Jeffrey Epstein Hoax!' Trump vented on social media this month. Apart from this, cracks are propping up within the Trump administration. The Epstein scandal has left the DoJ and the FBI on opposing sides. FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino even threatened to resign from his post. Not only this, Bondi accused Bongino of leaking information to the media around the handling of the Epstein files, three people familiar with the matter told The Washington Post. With disagreements within the team and the reports of Trump's name being mentioned in the files multiple times, the Epstein Files have become a recurring headache for the president.
