"Due to an unavoidable last-minute scheduling change, our originally scheduled Foundation Keynote Speaker, Deion Sanders 'Coach Prime,' is unable to attend," the foundation's website read. "We are grateful for his support and look forward to future opportunities to welcome him."
The sudden drop out from the conference in his home state has many wondering if Sanders' current health issues might've played a factor. While nothing has been confirmed by Sanders or Colorado, rumors are swirling about his future. Ten days ago, the Colorado Buffaloes coach made his first public appearance in weeks on Asante Samuel's 'Say What Needs to Be Said' podcast and explained why he's been away.
"I've done no media. I've done nothing for a minute, Sanders said. "So coming on with you is something. I ain't been in front of nobody for a minute. I lost about 14 pounds. I'm coming back, but I needed this." When Samuel asked if fasting was involved, Sanders replied by saying it was more serious.

Sanders' health challenges have been widely reported over the past four years. He previously underwent multiple surgeries related to blood clots, resulting in the amputation of two toes on his left foot while at Jackson State. In late 2024, Sanders said doctors advised removing the remaining toes, which he declined.

Many are wondering if her requesting a trade has anything to do with the investigation. Advertisement "Can we get an update?" a user asked Williams, who has not posted on X for the past hour. She initially played for Indiana from 2016-2019, and then returned for another two seasons in 2023 and 2024. Advertisement After the game, Wheeler became emotional during her postgame interview that was broadcast in the arena, tearing up as she reflected on the team's effort and what the win meant to her. Before the guard spoke, cameras caught her using her jersey to wipe her tears away before speaking into the microphone. "You guys are amazing," Wheeler said to the crowd. "What, today is Wednesday? You guys got off work to come see us? That's hard. That's dedication. That's love. And that's what I've been feeling since I've been here. That's why I'm emotional." NBA Legend Derrick Rose Makes Personal Announcement

NBA Legend Derrick Rose Makes Personal Announcement originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Chicago Bulls legend Derrick Rose recently retired after 15 seasons in the NBA. Selected No. 1 overall by Chicago in the 2008 NBA draft, Rose quickly ascended to superstardom with the Bulls. Becoming the youngest league MVP in 2011, Rose helped lead Chicago to a 62-20 record before losing in the Eastern Conference Finals to the Miami Heat. Advertisement Injuries unfortunately altered Rose's career trajectory, as he appeared in just 723 total games across his 16 years in the league (including 2012-13 when he missed the entire year). Finishing his career with the Memphis Grizzlies, Rose returned to where he played his collegiate basketball. Spending one season in Memphis (2023-24), Rose appeared in just 24 games. While he showed flashes of ability, averaging 8.0 points in just 16.6 minutes per contest, he was unable to stay healthy and ultimately called it a career after that season. On Thursday, the three-time All-Star made an announcement on his latest personal venture. Advertisement In a post on Instagram, Rose announced he has launched a "knockout-style chess tournament" that features current and former NBA stars. "Introducing Chesstival - a knockout-style chess tournament featuring NBA stars past and present, founded by former NBA MVP Derrick Rose and Freestyle Chess," Rose wrote in a joint post with Freestyle Chess. "Thanks to a partnership with $50,000 in total prize money will be donated to the charity of the winner's choice." This news was first announced in an Instagram post earlier this week, but the details of Rose's involvement were not as clear. Thursday's post from Rose included a reel of him playing basketball and chess, along with the official details of this tournament. The post has accumulated over 4,300 likes and several comments, including one from Adidas Basketball, who Rose remains affiliated with. Advertisement While he is no longer in the NBA, Rose is using his platform to bring different stars together for this initiative that plans to donate at least $50,000 to charity.
