She then shared that she underwent "tests and checks to determine the cause(s) of the extreme pain' that brought her to the hospital
The "Pretty Little Baby" singer did not reveal the exact cause of her hospital visit, but a previous hip injury temporarily landed her in a wheelchairConnie Francis was hospitalized in Florida on Wednesday, July 2, according to the legendary singer's Facebook page.
It was reported that the "Pretty Little Baby" singer, 87, was in the hospital early Wednesday morning, according to the Facebook page of radio personality Cousin Brucie.
Hours later, Francis announced that she was 'back in hospital' and 'undergoing tests and checks to determine the cause(s) of the extreme pain' she has been suffering from. The singer previously revealed to PEOPLE that a hip injury has temporarily landed her in a wheelchair, but it is unclear what caused her hospital visit.
'I had hoped to take part in Brucie's show for Independence Day, having had to cancel a previous slot a few weeks ago when receiving treatment on my hip,' she wrote, referencing Cousin Brucie's earlier Facebook announcement. 'Sadly, I had to let him know that I again had to withdraw. My thanks for your many get well soon messages. I will endeavor to keep you updated. Love, Connie.'
Francis then shared a few hours later that after she received a series of tests and examinations, she was transferred out of the Intensive Care Unit and into a private room. 'Thank you all for your kind thoughts, words and prayers. They mean so much! Love, Connie,' she concluded her post.
A representative for Francis directed PEOPLE to her Facebook posts when contacted for further information.
In recent years, the singer's music has reached a new generation thanks to her song "Pretty Little Baby" going viral on TikTok, 63 years after she recorded it.
Over 3 million TikTok users have lip-synced to the 1962 song's feel-good lyrics while showing off their children, pets or fashion game. As of early June, it racked up more than 10 billion views, sending it to No. 1 on both TikTok's Viral 50 and Top 50 charts.
'To tell you the truth, I didn't even remember the song!' she told PEOPLE exclusively in May. 'I had to listen to it to remember. To think that a song I recorded 63 years ago is touching the hearts of millions of people is truly awesome. It is an amazing feeling.'
'It's an honor,' Francis continued. 'To see that they're paying homage to me is just breathtaking.'

Francis, whose other hits include 'Stupid Cupid,' 'Lipstick on Your Collar,' 'Everybody's Somebody's Fool," and 'Who's Sorry Now,' is surprised by the success of the song. However, she theorized it's so popular because 'it's innocent and pure, and this is a time when everything is in such chaos."
Francis retired from the music industry in 2018 and has since settled in South Florida. But the TikTok boost provided her an unexpected victory lap for her and her legendary career.
'It's truly awesome. I never thought it was possible. It's a dream come true," she said. "To think that kindergarten kids now know my name and my music? It's just thrilling!'

Elk Grove set to celebrate 25 years of cityhood this Independence Day
This July 4, the city of Elk Grove is celebrating a major milestone. It was 25 years ago that the community broke away from Sacramento County control and created a new city. The city is throwing a big Independence Day party to mark the occasion. The festivities include fireworks, live music and a bike parade. For the first time ever, the city is sponsoring a drone light show, with 200 quadcopters flying up to 400 feet in the air. "There's a whole soundtrack that goes along with it, and so it's going to be a pretty cool experience with the lighting, the colors, the music," said Skyworks drone pilot Jacob Howard. A lot has changed since Elk Grove's early days. It started as a stagecoach stop during the Gold Rush, and in the year 2000, community members formed their own city government. "There weren't that many restaurants or places to go shopping or even fun and entertainment, however, we've been building since then," Vice Mayor Sergio Robles said. But Elk Grove has suffered some setbacks since becoming a city. Plans to build a regional shopping center along Highway 99 turned into an abandoned ghost mall for years. And in April, a proposal to bring a new zoo to town was canceled. "It gives us an opportunity to do something else," Robles said. "It gives us an opportunity to continue swinging for the fences." Today, Elk Grove has 470 city employees and more than 178,000 people now live there, with the population expected to reach 300,000 in another 25 years. "It's no longer a best-kept secret," Robles said. "Everybody wants to come to Elk Grove." Elk Grove officials say they're looking forward to having mild weather during this year's Fourth of July festival. Last year, they had to postpone the start of the event due to the excessive triple-digit weather.

Trump Proposes UFC Event in Wild Location
Trump Proposes UFC Event in Wild Location originally appeared on Athlon Sports. President Donald Trump's relationship with the UFC is well-documented. He has attended multiple events, and fighters like Conor McGregor have visited him at the White House, reinforcing the alliance between the MMA promotion and his political brand. The UFC's massive popularity, especially among younger male demographics, makes it a centerpiece for Trump and his supporters, who include the UFC's CEO and President, Dana White. Advertisement Now, Trump has floated a bold and unconventional idea to celebrate America's upcoming 250th anniversary: a UFC championship fight on the White House grounds. Donald Trump and Dana WhiteEd Mulholland-GettyImages During a speech at the Iowa State Fairgrounds, Trump revealed his desire for a large-scale event featuring a UFC fight with up to 25,000 spectators as part of the "America250" festivities. 'Does anybody watch UFC? The great Dana White? We're going to have a UFC fight. We're going to have a UFC fight, think of this, on the grounds of the White House. We have a lot of land there,' Trump said. While the announcement energized Trump's supporters, the feasibility and appropriateness of hosting a violent combat sport on White House property were clearly not in the president's consideration. The White House has never before been used as a venue for a pay-per-view sporting event, let alone a sport with a fan base as rowdy as MMA. Advertisement Overlooked in his proclamation were the logistical hurdles, including Secret Service approvals and crowd control, that could make the plan more aspirational than practical. The UFC's involvement adds another layer of controversy. While the organization has grown into a mainstream sports powerhouse, it has also faced criticism over fighter pay, benefits, and overall dwindling quality. As of now, the proposal lacks concrete details, and the idea is likely nothing more than mere political theater. Given Trump's history of controversy, however, the possibility cannot be entirely ruled out.
