The Phoenix Suns have had many legends play for their franchise and they are also watching one of their franchise's best players continue to play for them now in Devin Booker, who is the franchise's all-time leading scorer.

While Booker still has many years left in his career, likely to all come in Phoenix due to him wanting to play his entire career with one franchise, other legends have also worn the orange and purple.

One of those players was Steve Nash who dominated the 2000s with the Suns and he was recognized as one of the NBA's top 100 players on Bleacher Report's list.
Bleacher Report ranked Nash No. 37 on their all-time list and mentioned that he could have been higher on it if he did not enter his prime later in his career.
'After leading some of the top era-adjusted offenses of all time with the Dallas Mavericks in 2002 and 2003, Nash landed in Phoenix and enjoyed one of the great late-bloomer primes in league history,' Bleacher Report's NBA staff wrote. 'He captained the 'Seven Seconds or Less' Phoenix Suns to elite scoring marks, winning back-to-back MVPs in his age-30 and age-31 campaigns. Nash's four 50/40/90 seasons are the most in NBA history. Not bad for a guy who also ranks fifth in total assists.'

Of course, Nash had a successful six seasons with the Dallas Mavericks but after returning to the Suns in 2004, he became one of the league's best players during his time.
In Phoenix, Nash won back-to-back MVP awards, though many will debate if he deserved them, and he also led the way for Mike D'Antoni's offense.

During his career, Nash was a two-time MVP, eight-time All-Star and seven-time All-NBA selection.
There is no doubt that Nash is one of the greatest point guards in league history thanks to his assist numbers and shooting efficiency but if he had entered his prime earlier in his career, he may be much higher on Bleacher Report's list.

LeBron James Uses Michael Jordan Example to Argue NBA Is ‘Best It's Ever Been'

LeBron James Uses Michael Jordan Example to Argue NBA Is 'Best It's Ever Been' originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Over the past two decades, the NBA has seen a change in how superstar-level players contribute to their teams, and no one knows that better than Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James. Advertisement The 40-year-old started his career with the Cleveland Cavaliers as primarily a scorer. However, he slowly began to develop his playmaking and rebounding, which led to some other players shifting their playstyles to become more well-rounded. Furthermore, James thinks this trend has made the NBA 'the greatest it's ever been,' and former All-Star guard Steve Nash agrees. 'The pace and space era and a lot of threes,' Nash said next to James during a live episode of their 'Mind the Game' podcast at Fanatics Fest in late June. 'Well, the reality is that's not going away, and we're stretching the floor and playing at our own pace.' 'Once people begin reading and reacting, they start using their brains, and it's beautiful to watch.' Advertisement Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James (23) brings the ball up court© Gary A. Vasquez-Imagn Images Meanwhile, James credits the development of playmaking with helping the NBA become what it is today. He also pointed out that it's a drastic difference from the 1990s, when Michael Jordan was one of the only players who was able to be a strong scorer and playmaker. 'In the 1995 season and out of the points per game leaders, there's only one guy in the top five of assists, and that was Michael Jordan,' James said to Nash. 'Now you look at it 25 to 30 years later, out of the top 10 scorers, there are five in the top five of assists.' 'The playmaking, defense, different matchups and variables in our game, you see in the defensive zone, man-to-man and two-two-one press, we haven't seen. I think that's great.' Advertisement Furthermore, Nash believes James helped create this trend because of his ability to be a prolific scorer, playmaker and defender. James, the Lakers forward, has averaged more than 6.0 assists per game every season since his rookie year in 2003. He combines that with averaging more than 6.0 rebounds per game in that same period and scoring more than 20.0 points per game in every season he's played in. Jacob Misiorowski is an all-star just because he's popular? The horror.

The best new thing in baseball right now will have his moment Tuesday night at the All-Star Game, even as he conflicts with the worst thing about baseball. Rookie ace Jacob Misiorowski plays for the Milwaukee Brewers, though his body stretches long enough for him to moonlight as Giannis's teammate for that other Brew City franchise. Misiorowski's name might be as long as his frame, but it effortlessly shortens into one of those cool monikers that fit so well in headlines or on T-shirts. Though 'The Miz' has logged just five starts, he throws one of the hardest fastballs in the bigs.

Commanders' Terry McLaurin says he's undecided on reporting to training camp amid contract standoff

After a 2024 season that saw his touchdown total triple from the year prior, Washington Commanders WR Terry McLaurin said Tuesday he is 'frustrated' at the lack of progress on a long-term extension with the team. McLaurin is entering the final year of his contract. McLaurin said it will also impact his decision to attend training camp, which starts July 22 for Commanders veterans. Advertisement 'I haven't decided that yet,' McLaurin said of how he'll approach training camp. 'I'm trying to take things day by day and that's the disappointing part. I was hoping up until this point things would clear up a lot more than they have. I haven't made that decision yet, I'm just going to see how the rest of this week goes and take it day by day and go from there.' Terry McLaurin on extension talks: "I've been frustrated. I'm not gonna lie." — Ben Standig (@BenStandig) July 15, 2025 McLaurin posted 1,096 yards and 13 touchdowns last season, his first paired with Jayden Daniels at QB. This story will be updated.
