Even after 17 years, the show continues to secure a spot in the Top 5 most-watched programs. Determined to keep the entertainment level high, the makers are constantly introducing fresh storylines to keep audiences hooked. During the show's 17th anniversary celebration, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah producer Asit Kumarr Modi announced plans to introduce a new family in Gokuldham Society — and it now appears that the moment has finally arrived.
Times of India TV has accessed exclusive photographs from the set of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, hinting that shooting for an important sequence is in full swing for the grand entry of a brand-new family. This follows producer Asit Kumarr Modi's recent press conference revelation that new, interesting and humourous characters would soon be moving into the beloved society, adding a new twist to the long-running show.
In one image, the society compound is busy with cast and crew. At the centre, a woman in a yellow salwar kameez with her head covered stands facing the group, suggesting the moment could be part of a scene reading or an important introduction sequence being explained.
Another photograph shows two camels being led into the compound. Riding them are the woman in yellow, a man in a blue kurta, and two children, making it appear to be a family of four.

The camels are decorated in traditional Rajasthani style, signalling a cultural touch not seen before in Gokuldham Society.
If these glimpses are anything to go by, Gokuldham Society is about to welcome an interesting and humourous Rajasthani family. Vibrant and full of life, with a warm 'Padharo mare Gokuldham' spirit, they could bring fresh dynamics, heartwarming moments and a splash of comic chaos.
Now that the photos are out, viewers will surely be curious to know why this new family is coming to Gokuldham. How will they get along with popular characters like Jethalal, Bhide, Madhavi, Popatlal, and the rest of the society members? And most importantly, which actors will play these exciting new roles?
We tried contacting the production house but they remained unavailable for comments.

Coolie Box Office Collection Day 2: Biggest opener of 2025, Rajinikanth's movie crosses ₹100 crore milestone
Coolie Box Office Collection Day 2: Coolie, which is already leading all 2025 releases in India to be the biggest opener of the year, has now crossed the ₹ 100 crore milestone at the Indian box office. Released on Thursday, August 14, superstar Rajinikanth's movie is setting the bar for domestic box office performance this year. Coolie has been released in five languages: Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada, boosting its pan-India appeal. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, Coolie, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, has already surpassed the ₹ 100 crore milestone in just two days. On Friday, August 15, the Rajinikanth movie minted ₹ 40.57 crore. With this, the record-breaking, Coolie's 2-day total stands at ₹ 105.57 crore. Sacnilk said ticket prices surged dramatically, reaching as high as ₹ 4,500 in Chennai. Both the superstar actor and the hit filmmaker achieved their personal career-best opening day with Coolie ( ₹ 65 crore), surpassing all previous films in their respective records. Coolie became the first Tamil movie to cross the 150 crores worldwide mark on its opening day, cementing its place in cinematic history, said Sacnilk. Minting ₹ 153 crore globally, Coolie is the biggest Indian opener of 2025 at the worldwide box office. Singapore even granted paid leave for fans wanting to watch Coolie on opening day. Trade analysts estimate it needs around ₹ 600 crore worldwide to be considered a hit. Coolie is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. It is backed by Kalanithi Maran's Sun Pictures. In addition to Rajinikanth in the lead, the film also stars Nagarjuna, Upendra, Soubin Shahir, Sathyaraj, Shruti Haasan, Reba Monica John, Junior MGR, and Monisha Blessy. Bollywood actor Aamir Khan is also a part of the film in a cameo role as Daaha. Anirudh R scored the music and the songs of Coolie. The film has received mixed reactions from netizens so far. At the box office, it is clashing with Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR's War 2. Coolie was released as Rajinikanth celebrated 50 years in cinema. The censor board gave the movie an A (Adults-only) certificate. This is Rajinikanth's first A-rated film in many years.

Ex-Australian all-rounder shares hilarious incident with Yuvraj during 2011 World Cup: 'Everyone went silent…'
Former seam-bowling all-rounder John Hastings, who was part of Australia's squad for the 2011 ICC World Cup in India, revealed how quickly things went downhill after he was invited to a party in Yuvraj Singh's room at a hotel. John Hastings revealed how he had been invited to a party in Yuvraj Singh's room at a hotel in the 2011 ICC World Cup. Reuters Former Australian all-rounder John Hastings recently opened up on a funny incident during the 2011 ICC World Cup involving Indian star Yuvraj Singh, revealing how an entire party had gone quiet because of his clumsiness. The medium-pacer, who had represented Australia in 39 internationals including 29 one-dayers, said that he was trying to change the music that was playing on a laptop on Yuvraj's room, and tried to make himself comfortable by placing himself on a ledge, only for it to come crashing down, much to his horror. STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD 'It was one of those ones where we'd obviously had a few and I think you know we'd obviously been invited up to Yuvi's (Yuvraj Singh) room and walked in and there was a suite. It was massive. It was as big as my house over here. And I remember looking around, I just jeez there's so many people in here,' Hastings told LiSTNR sport. 'What's going on with this music? So, I was fiddling around with the laptop trying to get some of my playlist on and I sat on the edge of this… There was a ledge that had a phone on there. There was a laptop, I sat on it and boom off it came down on the floor and I just remember everyone just stopped and looked and went silent, dead quiet, pin could drop,' he added. 'I didn't had to pay for any damage' Hastings added that he took it upon himself to try and rectify the situation and reached out to the reception. Fortunately for him, he didn't have to pay a penny for the damages and the incident was quickly forgotten. 'I just went, 'What am I going to do here? I'm a young kid.' It's Yuvraj Singh's room. There are so many people here. There's probably Bollywood celebrities everywhere, and I just went, 'Right, stay calm,' and I went to the phone, which was already out off the wall, and I'd seen the cord be ripped out of the wall,' Hastings continued. 'So, I just thought, I'll just make sure that I've made this right. And there was no one on the end of the line. So, I picked up the phone. I said, 'Reception,' yep. John Hastings, I just want to make sure that there's a bit of damage in Mr. Singh's room. I'll make sure I fix it up. I'm in the room such and such. And everyone was like, 'Well done, mate. That's brilliant.' And everyone just kicked on, played on,' Hastings recalled. STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD 'I actually went down to reception to make sure that I could rectify the situation, but there was never another word. So, happy days. I didn't had to pay for any damage and we had a really good night,' he concluded on the matter,' he concluded. Though he was part of the squad, Hastings did not feature in any of the seven matches that Australia had played in that World Cup, including the quarter-final against India in Ahmedabad that the Men in Blue ended up winning by five wickets. Yuvraj, who had struck an unbeaten 57 in that quarter-final, would go on to be adjudged the Player of the Tournament for scoring 362 runs and collecting 15 wickets, playing a key role in India winning cricket's showpiece event for only the second time.
