I asked for an open relationship... but I never expected to find my boyfriend on TV having an orgy with six women. It left me feeling humiliated
A woman has been left feeling 'humiliated' after finding out that her boyfriend had an orgy with six women on a television show.
Tanith, 30, and Mark, 40, from west Yorkshire, have been dating for two and a half years, but while she was thinking about kids and a ring, he admitted to having a 'wandering eye'.
This came to a head when she caught Mark cheating on her red-handed a year into their relationship and her world came crashing down.
She said: 'We had been together a year, it tore my world apart. It was really hard and I felt like we were in a good place and it was all shattered. We took time to ourselves and I realised that he was worth it.'
When recalling the experience, Tanith burst out crying and said: 'It's just a lot of emotion isn't it?'
Mark said: 'I've always had a tendency to be unfaithful in the past. I guess it's the feeling of being wanted or that someone is attracted to you. It's probably not feeling good within yourself, so you're looking at getting that through other people.'
Tanith - who lives with Mark and shares a dog with him - then suggested they open up their relationship and try non-monogamy, as she loved Mark and thought it would be the right path to explore.
They decided to go on Channel 4's show Open House, which sees couples join a luxury retreat full of non-monogamous people who are eager to help them fulfil their fantasies.
However, Tanith was left feeling mortified after finding out Mark had slept with six women on his first night in the Open House - while she went back to their room alone.
The pair went on the show with the idea that they were going to open up their relationship separately, meaning that they would date and start sexual relationships with other people as individuals, not as a pair.
Effy Blue, a non-monogamy coach on the show, decided it would be best if they both attended separate parties in the evening to give Tanith a chance to meet the men in the house and allow Mark to mingle with the women.
Before they split off, Tanith said she was nervous and felt as though they had been 'thrown in at the deep end'.
The dog walker added: 'Something that would be difficult for me in this if one of us did something and the other one didn't, that would be the hardest thing.'
Mark's evening started off as a roaring success as one woman gave him a lap dance, another gave him a French kiss while a third passed him a marshmallow... with her mouth.
However, Tanith admitted that she didn't feel any chemistry with anyone at her party and left the party without a man on her arm.
She admitted that she had trying not to think about her boyfriend, telling the camera crew: 'I don't know what Mark has been up to. I think if I thought about that it would be...yeah... no.'
But when Mark was asked about whether Tanith had crossed his mind, he said: 'I'm not really thinking too much about Tanith, otherwise that would distract me from what I'm doing here.
'I'm eager to get out there and have a good night, I'm just looking forward to having fun and seeing what happens.
'I didn't expect it to be going like this but I'm kind of going with the flow and if everyone's comfortable and happy, then what will be, will be.'
The landscape company owner then took all six women back to a hut in the garden of the house and one thing led to another, leading them all to have sex with each other.
Anxiously awaiting her boyfriend, Tanith opened the window and stared at the hut, seemingly wondering what Mark was up to.
In a preview for the second episode, Mark is filmed returning to Tanith, who then turns to him and says: 'I'm so humiliated.'
Effy then asks the couple whether they thought any boundaries had been crossed and Tanith bursts into tears.
Coming on to the show, Mark described feeling 'trapped' when trying to commit to one person at a time.
'I've always wanted to do what I want to do when I want to do it,' he said.
'Sometimes when you find yourself in relationships, you feel trapped. I've always felt very much trapped.'

Attenborough tells William he hopes Ocean film will move people to action
Sir David Attenborough has told the Prince of Wales he hopes his new film Ocean will galvanise society into action 'before we destroy this great treasure'. William also chatted with his natural history hero about their shared optimism for discoveries of new life in the seas, despite the threats they face. Sir David has been described by the future King as the 'inspiration' for his six-part wildlife rangers series, and has attended a private screening of Ocean that shows the seas at a crossroads due to over-fishing, pollution and habitat destruction. The baton to help protect the world's oceans appears to be passing from the veteran broadcaster to William and others, with the prince expected to call for action to save them when he gives a speech at an economic forum attended by world leaders on Sunday. Sir David said during their conversation: 'If this film does anything, if it just shifts public awareness, it will be very, very important, and I can only hope that people who see it will recognise that something must be done before we destroy this great treasure.' The broadcaster made William laugh, during their chat filmed at the Royal Festival Hall in early May, when he tried on one of his early diving helmets and told the story of it filling up with water due to a fault. Asked by the prince for his assessment of the state of the world's oceans, the broadcaster replied: 'The awful thing is that it's hidden from you and from me and from most people. 'The thing which I am appalled by, when I first saw the shots that were taken for this film, are what we have done to the deep ocean floor is just unspeakably awful. 'I mean, if you could do anything remotely like it on land, everybody will be up in arms.' The damage caused to the seabed by fishing boats using a common technique called bottom trawling – dragging a net that forces sea life into the trap – is shown in Ocean. With a shared passion for protecting the natural world, the prince and the naturalist have supported each other in their missions to tackle some of the biggest environmental challenges the planet faces. William has attended screenings of Sir David's nature documentaries privately while the broadcaster has been a champion of the prince's environmental Earthshot Prize since its inception. The future King asked the broadcaster, who recently turned 99, what gave him hope and was told the film took them into people's living rooms and it could 'expose something new' and, when quizzed if there was new life to discover in the oceans, was told 'beyond question'. Sir David agreed with William when he concluded by saying 'it's a really optimistic, excitement sort of moment for the next generation, to be able to be bigger explorers and find more data and more research down there'. The film, narrated by Sir David, offers a message of hope that, if protected from the damage of intensive and destructive fishing, the oceans can recover, and it backs the call to protect 30% of the world's marine areas by 2030, known as 30×30. William is due to speak at the Blue Economy and Finance Forum at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco, with world leaders like France's President Emmanuel Macron also addressing the event. The prince is expected to issue a rallying call to delegates: 'Halfway through this decisive decade, I call on all of you to think big in your actions. 'Let us act together with urgency and optimism while we still have the chance.'

A quirky vegetable sculpture contest features a squash Donald Trump and a papal 'cornclave'
Vegetable likenesses of Donald Trump and Dolly Parton and a papal 'cornclave' went on display Saturday at the Lambeth Country Show, an urban take on a country fair held annually in London's Brockwell Park. The two-day show features sheep-shearing, livestock competitions, food, music and a vegetable sculpture contest that has attracted national renown for its quirky creativity. This year, several sculptures recreated the recent papal election, including one featuring cardinals made of maize, titled 'Cornclave.' Other entries included Irish rap trio Kneecap in potato form, 'Cauli Parton' in a movie-inspired tableau titled '9 to Chive,' a vegetable 'Mo Salad' likeness of Liverpool soccer star Mo Salah and animated icons Wallace and Gromit made from butternut squash. Trump also got the butternut squash treatment, while some entries referred to local politics. In Lambeth, as in other parts of London, local authorities have turned to holding large concerts and festivals in parks as a way to raise money, to the chagrin of some neighbors. 'Wolf Hall' actor Mark Rylance, one of a group of local residents opposed to big events in Brockwell Park, is represented as 'Mark Rylunch,' with an apple-carved head and satirical signs branding him a NIMBY (not in my backyard) campaigner. 'Every year, this is what we get so excited about, is the vegetable sculptures,' said Country Fair regular Maddy Luxon. 'It's just so unique and just so witty and we love the political ones.' 'And the puns,' said Marek Szandrowski, who was with her. 'The vegetable puns, definitely.'
