How to retune your TV
You will need to retune your TV to gain access to all these new channel updates.
If you are unsure of how to retune your TV, don't worry, it is quite simple, and usually only requires pressing 'retune' when prompted by your TV, according to Freeview.
RECOMMENDED READING:
Retuning may vary on different devices, but in most cases, Freeview said, it can be done by following these steps:
Press menu on your box or TV remote control Select 'set-up', 'installation', 'update' or a similar option. If you're asked for a password, the default code is '1234' or '0000'. Select 'first-time installation' (sometimes called 'factory reset', 'full retune' or 'default settings'). Press 'OK' if your equipment asks if it's OK to delete existing channels and then your retune should start automatically. If you're prompted to, save the channels that are found.
Freeview added: "If you've already done an automatic retune and this didn't work, you may need to do a manual retune."
If you are still unsure, you can watch Freeview's retune videos for more details (available on the Freeview website).

Millions of Sky and Virgin customers warned of four TV changes coming to screens ahead of major channel closure
SKY and Virgin customers should expect a number of changes coming to the TV guide this week - right before a major channel closure happening next month. The line-up is routinely overhauled to make way for closures, new arrivals, as well as rebrands. 1 Sky Q boxes in particular have already received some big switches this week. On Tuesday, more than 30 radio stations were shifted around on the TV guide for the first time in years. Later this week, there are yet more changes on the way for some Sky and Virgin viewers, depending on your subscription. And early next month there's a channel closure that will impact all platforms. This week's changes take place on Friday and affect Sky Cinema. Sky Cinema regularly changes up the channel names to reflect special themes and events. From Friday, there are four to watch out for. Sky Cinema Hits, Sky Cinema Action, Sky Cinema Drama and Sky Cinema 80s will all disappear temporarily. They'll be replaced by Sky Cinema Blockbusters, Sky Cinema Karate Kid, Sky Cinema Pride and Sky Cinema Romance respectively. For those who need a reminder of the channel numbers, they are as follows: Sky Cinema Blockbusters - Sky 303 / Virgin 403 Sky Cinema Karate Kid - Sky 307 / Virgin 407 Sky Cinema Pride - Sky 310 / Virgin 410 Sky Cinema Romance - Sky 302 / Virgin 402 The 1% Club players stumped on tricky maths question as 13 players pass - but could you have got it right- Channel closure Early in June a channel will sadly close after more than 10 years on air. Fortunately, a replacement has been lined up already. Reality TV destination ITVBe is disappearing from every platform, including Sky and Virgin, as well as Freeview, Freesat and Freely too. The biggest ITVBe shows, like TOWIE, will move to ITV2. Meanwhile, ITV is filling the vacant slot with a new channel called ITV Quiz. ITV shows a number of popular game shows such as The Chase, Tipping Point, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?, The 1% Club and Deal or No Deal - though it's not clear which will appear on ITV Quiz. ITV has confirmed to The Sun that ITVBe will close and be replaced by ITV Quiz on June 9. More channel closures 'inevitable' An industry expert told The Sun that more channel closures are likely in 2025 and beyond. "This is inevitable, more broadcasters will cull broadcast/linear TV channels as viewers are flocking to streaming services," Paolo Pescatore from PP Foresight said. "The big TV switch off is around the corner, with all programming set to be delivered via the internet. "Viewers are now spoilt for choice with how and where they watch the TV shows they love across a range of connected devices. "To respond, broadcasters need to be prepared and work more closely with telecom providers to ensure a seamless experience for users." Image credit: Getty

I'm building my dream kitchen on a budget & bagged an £830 fridge freezer FREE – the stench was vile but it was worth it
Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) SHE'S creating her dream kitchen, but is having to do so on a tight budget. So when she saw an £830 fridge freezer on Facebook Marketplace for FREE, Kelly knew she had to nab it. "It truly is amazing what people get rid of!" she said. She picked the fridge up from a "building site" and was told it was all in working order but just needed a clean. "I'm pretty sure that this hasn't been opened in a long, long time," Kelly admitted. "The stench was unreal and, to top it off, I found fish in there! "I am NOT a fish lover and that expensive salmon is five years old." Once she'd managed to "dispose of" the offending fish, she got to work cleaning the fridge - taking every shelf and drawer out from inside, so that she could give it a deep clean. It needed a lot of "elbow grease", Kelly said, and she got stuck in with sponges, sprays and cleaning brushes. "I used lots of bleach on this thing," she laughed. "It was so strong I'm pretty sure I burnt the nostril hairs off. Stacey Solomon reveals 99p transformation of grubby kitchen unit she picked up on Facebook Marketplace so it looks brand new "It was the only thing that I really felt was going to kill that bacteria because God knows how long that's been growing in there." Once the bottom half - the freezer - was done, Kelly moved onto the fridge, removing each part one at a time, cleaning and putting it back. "This felt like a never-ending job," she sighed. "I love to clean but this was a lot, although very satisfying." Once the "cleaning marathon" was done, Kelly changed the hinges to match the rest of her kitchen, and enlisted the help of her stepdad to rewire the plug, which had been cut off. "We rewired the plug in seconds, attached the doors together and it was done," Kelly said, as she showed herself pushing the fridge freezer into its allocated slot. What are the biggest kitchen trends of 2025? The kitchen is the heart of every home and this year it's taking centre stage, Tracy Coleman, Product Director at High Street TV told Fabulous. Hardworking appliances Space-saving essentials are needed in every room of the house, and the kitchen is no exception, meaning appliances are often doing double (or triple) the job. Expect to see air fryer ovens that roast, bake, and fry or blenders with attachments for everything from chopping to grinding. Health and wellness With people becoming more mindful of what they eat and how it impacts their well-being, kitchen appliances are stepping up to meet the demand for healthier, more balanced lifestyles. Air fryers remain hugely popular, along with blenders and juicers that retain nutrients. Energy-bill conscious Finally, with rising energy bills and an increased focus on sustainability, people are turning to appliances that help reduce power consumption and keep costs down. More people are finding joy in cooking at home as a cost-effective way to enjoy delicious, nutritious meals. Cooking at home doesn't just save money—it's also a fun way to bring the family together or experiment with new recipes. With the right tools, such as multi-functional appliances and smart kitchen gadgets, creating meals at home becomes easier, faster, and more satisfying. "A fully working integrated fridge completely free!" "My best and worst Facebook marketplace find in one!" she captioned the video. "I've been looking for a integrated fridge freezer ever since I bought this unit. "I wasn't prepared to buy new, so will some patience (somehow) but mainly will power I found this baby! "And what a gem it turned out to be!" 9 She donned some rubber gloves as she got stuck in with bleach and a scrubbing brush Credit: TikTok/kellyewhiteside 9 She took out the shelves and drawers in the fridge freezer to give a thorough clean Credit: TikTok/kellyewhiteside 9 And when she was done, she showed off the sparkling clean interior Credit: TikTok/kellyewhiteside 9 She then took it upon herself to put the fridge into its place Credit: TikTok/kellyewhiteside
