Cote d'Ivoire vs New Zealand: When and How Watch

Morocco World07-06-2025
Meknes – Cote d'Ivoire meets New Zealand at BMO Field in Toronto in the Canadian Shield's second match on Sunday, a friendly giving both teams a chance to test themselves before World Cup qualifying games.
The two sides have never met in an official match, making their first-ever encounter.
Kick-off is set for 12:00 a.m. on 8 June (GMT+1) and fans can watch live on FOX Soccer Plus in the USA, OneSoccer and TSN in Canada, and beIN SPORTS MENA.
Cote d'Ivoire head coach Emerse Fae brings a strong squad, but Manchester United's Amad Diallo and Salzburg's Dorgelès Maho are out. Reims midfielder Mory Gbane gets his first call-up.
'This tournament will allow us to get a feel for the local conditions and test ourselves against North American and Oceanian teams, who have a different style of play,' Fae said in a pre-game interview. He added that it's 'a fantastic opportunity for our development.'
New Zealand head coach Darren Bazeley recalls center-back Finn Surman, Nottingham Forest attacker Chris Wood, and goalkeeper Nik Tzanev after injury layoffs.
'We have looked to put in place a program of games so that, should we qualify for the FIFA World Cup 2026, we will have faced a range of opponents in the buildup and both Côte d'Ivoire and Ukraine will provide a real test for us, which is exactly what we want,' Bazeley said in pre-game interview
Key match-ups feature Simon Adingra's speed versus Finn Surman's defensive positioning, while in midfield, Franck Kessié and Ibrahim Sangaré will look to overpower Liberato Cacace and Marko Stamenic in the midfield.
Both coaches are focusing on improving their pressing and ball transitions before real competition begins. Predicted line-ups
Côte d'Ivoire (4-2-3-1): Yahia Fofana, Wilfried Singo, Odilon Kossounou, Jean-Philippe Gbamin, Ghislain Konan; Ibrahim Sangaré, Franck Kessié; Nicolas Pépé, Mohamed Diomande, Simon Adingra, Sébastien Haller.

Official: New Rabat Stadium Ready for Morocco Qualifier

Morocco will face Niger in their 2026 World Cup qualifier at the newly-built Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat, the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) has confirmed. The match is scheduled for Friday, September 5, with kick-off at 8:00 pm Morocco time. Walid Regragui's team need just one point to secure qualification for the finals. It will be the national side's first match at the stadium since it underwent major renovation works. The upgrades included the pitch, infrastructure and facilities for fans and the media. FIFA president Gianni Infantino visited the complex in July and described it as a 'jewel of world football.' On Instagram he said: 'This stadium is definitely one of the most modern, efficient and beautiful arenas in the World projecting Morocco at the elite of the global game.' He added: 'A football stadium today is much more than just a place to play football. It is a symbol for a country and a place to unite people, and this particular stadium is already a true jewel, showing the modern Morocco, a country projecting itself into the future and choosing football to unite the world.' During his visit, Infantino also inaugurated FIFA's Africa regional office at the Mohammed VI Football Complex in Salé, calling it 'a historic moment, a festive and joyful day that will be engraved in golden letters in the history of FIFA and football in Africa, in Morocco, and around the world.' CAF president Patrice Motsepe, who attended the ceremony, said: 'There could not be a better place to establish this office.' FRMF president Fouzi Lekjaa underlined Morocco's ambition to become a hub for development. 'Morocco has been and will remain your second home. We will continue working together for comprehensive development, which naturally includes advancing football for boys and girls, in line with the values of openness and tolerance,' he said. The Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium is one of the key venues Morocco is preparing for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations and the 2030 World Cup, which it will co-host with Spain and Portugal. The rebuilt arena will have a football-specific design with a capacity of 68,700. Work is due to finish in late 2025, with further upgrades continuing at the Grand Stade de Tanger, Stade de Fès, Grand Stade Hassan II in Benslimane, Grand Stade d'Agadir and Grand Stade de Marrakech. Fenerbahçe vs Benfica – How to Watch & Predicted Score

Fenerbahçe host Benfica in Istanbul in the first leg of their Champions League playoff, with both sides eyeing a place in the group stage. German referee Daniel Siebert will blow the kick-off whistle at 8:00 pm (GMT+1), and fans can catch the action live on BeIN Sports MENA, M+ Liga de Campeones, and TRT1. The Turkish side are bidding to return to Europe's top competition for the first time since 2008-09, while Benfica are looking to reach the groups for a fifth straight season. Fenerbahçe beat Feyenoord in the third qualifying round, coming through 6-4 on aggregate after a 5-2 win at home. But their domestic start was less convincing, as they opened the league campaign with a goalless draw against Goztepe, managing just one shot on target. Their recent record against Benfica is also a concern, with three defeats in their last four meetings, including a 3-2 friendly loss last month. Historically, Benfica have won four of the seven encounters between the sides, while Fenerbahçe have only one victory. Benfica, by contrast, arrive in fine form. Bruno Lage's men are unbeaten this season, winning all four matches in all competitions without conceding. They claimed the Portuguese Super Cup against Sporting Lisbon, beat Nice 4-0 on aggregate in Europe and opened their league campaign with a narrow win at Estrela. Even so, the Portuguese side have never won away to Fenerbahçe, losing twice and drawing once in three visits to Istanbul. Jose Mourinho is expected to stick with his three-man defence for Fenerbahçe, with Jhon Duran and Youssef En-Nesyri up front. Benfica are missing Bruma, Manu Silva, Alexander Bah and Tomas Araujo through injury but still boast firepower, with last season's top scorer Vangelis Pavlidis already off the mark alongside summer signing Franjo Ivanovic. Score Prediction: The hosts' home support could make it competitive, but Benfica's sharper form, defensive solidity and proven European pedigree give them the edge in the first leg. Let's say Fenerbahçe 1-2 Benfica. Tags: Benficachampions leagueFenerbahceMourinhoYoussef En-Nesyri

CHAN 2024: Sudan vs Senegal – How to Watch & Predicted Score

Sudan meet defending champions Senegal in their final Group D match at the Amani Stadium, with both sides aiming to secure a place in the quarter-finals of the African Nations Championship (CHAN). Zimbabwean referee Brigthon Chimene will blow the kick-off whistle at 6:00 pm (GMT+1), and fans can catch the action live on BeIN Sports MENA, L'Équipe, and SuperSport. Sudan go into the game top of the group after a 4-0 victory over Nigeria, and only need to avoid defeat to confirm their progress. Coach Kwesi Appiah, however, has made clear his side will not sit back. 'I don't go into games to defend. The best way to defend is to attack. We're playing for goals. There are 11 players in each team; why should we stay back?' he said. Appiah's side are unbeaten in nearly a year, with their last loss coming in November 2024 against Niger in the AFCON qualifiers. They opened the tournament with a draw against Congo before putting four past Nigeria, with goals coming from across the team. The coach believes set pieces could prove decisive. 'It is difficult to get goals in open play. Teams rely on set pieces. We're working on free kicks as a medium to score,' he explained. Captain Fares Abdullah also expects Sudan to rise to the occasion. 'My performances alongside that of my teammates are a result of the trust we have for each other and our quality. I feel we'll do better against Senegal,' he said. Senegal enter the fixture with four points from their opening two matches. Forward Libasse Gueye, man of the match against Nigeria, said: 'Football is a collective game. I always put my team ahead. For me to be best, I need to play collectively with my colleagues.' Coach Souleymane Diallo has labelled the match 'a quarter-final before the quarter-final.' He reminded his squad that past success counts for little: 'Being champions for us is history. History remains in the past, but we must capitalize on improving in the present and future.' A draw would take both sides through, but a win for either team would secure top spot, while Congo remain in contention should results go their way. Score Prediction: A tight contest is expected. A 1-1 draw would be enough to see both progress. Tags: CHAN 2024senegalSudan
