7 of the richest The Devil Wears Prada stars – net worths, ranked: while Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway headlined the film inspired by Vogue's Anna Wintour, neither is the wealthiest cast member

When The Devil Wears Prada hit cinemas in 2006, it became an instant classic. Based on the 2003 novel by Lauren Weisberger, the film follows fresh graduate Andy Sachs as she lands a job as an assistant to Miranda Priestly, the demanding editor-in-chief of a glossy fashion magazine.
Starring the likes of heavyweight actress Meryl Streep and newcomers Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt, the film is widely believed to have been inspired by Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour; Wintour even attended the film's premiere wearing Prada.
Since then, rumours of a sequel have done the rounds every so often. And in July last year, Vanity Fair reported that a follow-up film was in the works.

In the meantime, fortunately for fans, the story has since been adapted into a stage production. The Devil Wears Prada musical, featuring Ugly Betty star
Vanessa Williams as Miranda Priestly , with music by Elton John, made its West End debut last October at London's Dominion Theatre.
Of course, a lot has happened to the lives and careers of the original cast in the 19 years since the film's release – and to their bank balances. Here's how the stars of The Devil Wears Prada compare when it comes to their funds, according to Celebrity Net Worth at the time of writing.
7. Adrian Grenier, 48
Estimated net worth: US$12 million

Best known for playing Vincent Chase in popular TV series Entourage, Adrian Grenier landed the role of Nate Cooper, Andy's boyfriend, in The Devil Wears Prada. Since then, he has moved out of the limelight to focus on green initiatives, including co-founding DuContra Ventures, a venture capital firm that puts community and protecting the planet over profit.
6. Stanley Tucci, 64
Estimated net worth: US$25 million

Following an extensive career in film and television that's seen him bag six Emmy Awards and two Golden Globe Awards, actor Stanley Tucci has earned himself an impressive fortune of US$25 million. However, it was his role as Nigel Kipling, Miranda Priestly's loyal confidant in The Devil Wears Prada, that turned Tucci into a household name.

This week in PostMag: a queer-friendly football team, Innsbruck and Michelin

Throughout my life, I've been lucky to feel like I belong – at least as much as anyone can hope to. I grew up on the central coast of California, where ethnic ambiguity didn't raise any eyebrows. I was never made to feel different or like an outsider. 'People saw me as white, so that was how I felt,' wrote my colleague, and fellow half-Asian, Shea Driscoll, in a recent essay exploring his own evolving sense of identity. That hit home. And though I didn't explicitly think of myself as white, I certainly was never forced to think of myself as 'different'. I could just be. It was a privilege I didn't realise I had until I moved to the United States' East Coast. There, where the racial demographics are different from California, I started getting the question, 'But where are you really from?' for the first time. I met friends who looked like me but had spent their lives feeling like they didn't fit in. This issue's cover feature brought these memories flooding back. At its core, it's a story about making a space yourself when the world won't allow you one. Sarah Keenlyside spends a day on the pitch with Baes FC – a women- and queer-friendly football team in London founded by members of the Asian diaspora off the back of discrimination at other clubs. They've made a home and community for people who felt like outsiders elsewhere. There are so many ways a sense of home can be created. Off the pitch and inside three very distinct Hong Kong flats, Peta Tomlinson investigates the trend of wood as a way for interior designers to evoke a sense of warmth. It's a transformative effect on the city's usual cold, characterless residential spaces. As Michelin continues its march towards world domination, Gavin Yeung explores what it means to be the only Michelin-starred restaurant in your region as he stops at two establishments in Thailand in a delicious adventure. The Old World beckons to Peter Neville-Hadley as he finds himself wandering Innsbruck's history-laden streets in Austria. In what is mostly known as a ski destination, he discovers excitement off the powdered slopes in the city's palaces, churches and treasure-filled museums. For our loyal readers of Then & Now, I regret to inform you that this will be the last for a while. After more than two decades of columns, our dear Jason Wordie will be taking a (much-deserved) break. We look forward to his return – but until then, we'll miss it dearly as I expect you all will, too.

Ex-England football captain David Beckham to be awarded knighthood by King Charles: reports

David Beckham will be awarded a knighthood by King Charles III next week in recognition of his football career and his charity work, reports said on Friday. The former England football captain is set to be named in the King's Birthday Honours List, according to the BBC and other sources. Other sporting figures who have been awarded the title include Beckham's former manager at Manchester United, Alex Ferguson, and British tennis great Andy Murray. The Sun newspaper said he would take the title of 'Sir' and his wife Victoria, a former member of the Spice Girls pop group, would be known as Lady Beckham. The 50-year-old, who has long been in the running for a knighthood, was appointed an officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in 2003 – a lower award in Britain's honours system. What is an ‘ita bag'? Plus the most popular toys, dolls and figures now

The 'Ita bag' hashtag went viral on Weibo – China's answer to X – in summer 2024 when Quan Hongchan, who won two golds in diving at the 2024 Paris Olympics, showed off gifts given to her by fans, from badges to cute toys, inside her transparent PVC bag. Advertisement An ita bag, which means 'painful bag' in Japanese, humorously denotes the great pain – and expense and effort – the wearer has put into lavishly decorating their bag. The bag is usually made of canvas or nylon with a clear see-through front. The trend stems from Japan's otaku subculture, which is defined by obsessive fans of interests such as video games, anime and manga. So invested were otaku in their interests that they would go through great lengths to seek out merchandise from their favourite titles or franchises and carry them inside a personalised bag. This manifestation of love and obsession soon caught on among trendsetters and the ita bag became an essential fashion accessory for people attending concerts and conventions. While keychains, badges and buttons remain popular choices for decorating an ita bag, there is now also an array of more elaborate items that can turn a PVC bag into a mobile shop window.
