Pittsburgh Fourth of July location moved amid Point State Park construction
The City of Pittsburgh has moved the location of its Fourth of July celebrations, amid ongoing construction at Point State Park.
A spokesperson says the city's Independence Day events will take place at the North Shore Riverwalk this year, with additional festivities at Emerald View Park's Grandview Bandstand.
Events will begin at 4 p.m. on the North Shore, including a children's fun zone, hot-air balloon, the Trulieve Veterans Wellness Row and continuous musical performances on the main stage, officials say.
Fireworks will begin at 9:35 p.m. You can watch the celebration live on WPXI-TV.
Additionally, the Steel City Blast at Grandview will take place at Emerald View Park's Grandview Bandstand from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.
'Independence Day in Pittsburgh is more than just fireworks — it's a powerful celebration of community, freedom and resilience,' said Mayor Ed Gainey. 'This year, we're bringing the energy to new locations across the city, with incredible entertainment, family fun and heartfelt tributes to our veterans. I invite everyone to come out, enjoy the festivities, and celebrate what makes Pittsburgh such a strong, vibrant city.'
The Trulieve Veterans Wellness Row will provide various veteran-focused programs and resources.
'We're honored to continue our partnership with the City of Pittsburgh for this year's Independence Day celebration,' said Nick Rassler, Trulieve's Pennsylvania director of state operations. 'We are proud to support local veterans through the Trulieve Veterans Row initiative by connecting them with wellness resources, community support and a space to reset.'

Old Wedding Photo Discovered in Library Book Finds Its Way Back to Family: ‘We Didn't Know This Photo Existed'
A wedding photo was found in a book donated on Saturday, May 31, to the Stirling Heights Public Library in Michigan Sarah Ruggirello recognized the people in the photo as her grandparents Frank and Josephine Ruggirello The couple wed on Sept. 26, 1953 in Detroit and were married for 67 yearsA woman was reunited with a precious memory from the past — all thanks to a library volunteer. A wedding photo featuring a couple in their wedding attire posing along two others was found by the volunteer inside of a book donated on Saturday, May 31, at Stirling Heights Public Library in Michigan, according to WXYZ-TV. As soon as the volunteer spotted it, they worked to reunite the old photo with the family who it belonged to. Luckily the photo held a clue as to who was in it, as written on the back of it were the words: 'Frank and Josephine Ruggirello — Nana Nono,' per the outlet. The photo — both back and front — was posted online on Facebook in the hopes that someone who saw the post would be able to identify who it belonged to. 'We posted, 'Lost & Found love story,' ' Anneliese White of the Stirling Heights Public Library, told WXYZ-TV. 'We were hoping someone might recognize one of the people in the pictures or recognize the last name.' Never miss a story — sign up for to stay up-to-date on the best of what PEOPLE has to offer, from celebrity news to compelling human interest stories. They eventually got a taker. Sarah Ruggirello told the outlet that the post was brought to her attention by a childhood friend who tagged her in the post and wrote, 'Hey, are these some family members of yours?' Sarah said she recognized the wedding couple in the photo as her grandparents Frank and Josephine Ruggirello, who were married on Sept. 26, 1953 in Detroit. She wrote on Facebook: 'This is my grandma and grandpa on their wedding day! Would I be able to pick it up?' She added, 'My grandpa passed in 2020 and my grandma passed in 2023, and I know my family would love to have [the photo].' 'I was very close to my grandparents,' Sarah told WXYZ-TV, adding that her grandparents had been married for 67 years. 'My whole family, my brother and cousins and I have just such fond memories of them growing up." "We'd go over to their house every Sunday for Sunday dinner and my grandma was a great cook and she would make homemade sauce and meatballs and they were just the best grandparents ever," she added. The library set up a time and place to exchange the photo with Sarah, and she excitedly thanked White who handed over the photo. She shared with WXYZ-TV: 'What's so cool is we've never seen — my dad and I — have never seen this exact photo before. We didn't know this exact photo existed.' As for where she plans to put the photo, she shared, 'I think now I'm going to frame it and display it somewhere in my house just because this was such a cool story and such a cool thing that happened." The library noted that it was unclear who donated the book and that it was routine for volunteers to check books before they are sold in the library's used bookstore. As for how they would describe the wedding photo reunion, White said: "This is definitely a solved mystery with a little bit of romance in it for sure. A feel-good story." Patrick Schwarzenegger's Dating History, from Miley Cyrus to Abby Champion
Attention everyone who's been in an emotionally committed relationship with Patrick Schwarzenegger since he made this face in The White Lotus: We're late to the party. Not only is Patrick in an actual committed relationship (the man is engaged), his relationship history is stacked with public—and often messy—romances for us to go over. Let's get into it. Before you completely spiral, this was an unsubstantiated rumor. One that kicked off when Patrick and Taylor were spotted spending Fourth of July weekend together at the Kennedy's Cape Cod compound—prompting speculation from the likes of People. But as we all know, Tay went on to date Conor Kennedy—not Patrick! Patrick and AJ were linked over Halloween, but it was literally just because they went to a party together. In other words, there's no proof that they were actually dating! Patrick and Taylor met at USC and dated for a couple years in college but not much is known about their relationship since it was mostly going down pre-fame. However, if you need proof of their vibes, Us Weekly published this article in 2013: Patrick Schwarzenegger Kisses Girlfriend Tootsie Burns, Shows Off Buff Body. Miley and Patrick didn't date for long, but it was pretty dramatic. First of all, they were very public: But things took a turn when Patrick—per TMZ—"got very close with some OTHER chick in Cabo." He denied cheating in since-deleted tweets, saying "Omg. It's one of my best friends NEVER do anything against my GF..... Girls have guy friends and guys have friends that are girls..." But the damage was done, and he and Miley split a few weeks later. According to People: "They're just in two different places in their lives. He's in college and she's focused on her music and career." Patrick and Abby met back in 2015 after she moved to California to become a model. Per Us Weekly, they were first seen together in September at the Nice Guy. A classic Hollywood love story! The pair got engaged a few years later in 2023, and have been going strong since: Patrick told People in February, "When we first met, I was 21, she was 18. So you're very different people and humans when you're that age versus now I'm 31, she's 27. Over the course of the years, I just continuously fell in love with her more and more, with the kind of human that she was becoming and that the relationship was becoming."
