Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle's Presale Ticket Records Surpass Frozen II
Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle movie part 1 – Akaza's Return has been bringing waves to the box office, much ahead of its release. The upcoming Japanese animated dark fantasy action film, which will officially open in the theatres on September 12 worldwide, is a direct sequel to the fourth season of the manga series. Within 24 hours, as the makers began their advance ticket sales, it surpassed many previous anime records.
Based on the 'Infinity Castle" arc of the 2016–20 manga series Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba by Koyoharu Gotouge, Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle's makers have officially begun advance ticket sales in the United States before its official release. The first chapter of the trilogy has bagged the top position in terms of first-day ticket presales for an anime movie of all time, reported Deadline.
The advance tickets are being sold from major US circuits, including AMC, Regal, and Cinemark. As per the same report, the preselling ticket booking has already recorded over USD 10 million, which, when converted to the Indian currency, amounts to Rs. 87.11 crore within 24 hours.
Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle's Record Surpasses Previous Set Milestones
With this prolific collection, it has even surpassed the previous records of its prequels – Demon Slayer: Mugen Train (2021) and Jujutsu Kaisen 0 (2022). Not only this, the impressive figure has also overperformed the records of the popular animated film Frozen II.
FYI: Mugen Train had collected USD 21.2 million (Rs 184 crore) on its opening weekend in 2021, while Jujutsu Kaisen 0 amasses USD 18 million (Rs 156 crore) the next year. If certain analyses by fans and critics are taken into account, the beginning of the final battle arc would seemingly cross even these stunning debuts.
Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle's Overwhelming Response Is Boosting Anime Content
Jerramy Hainline, EVP of Fandango, opened up about the sheer excitement for the upcoming movie, revealed that the overwhelming response from the presales is a 'true testament to the power of the anime community," reported CBR. According to him, this has been a huge response from anime lovers, which will again help bring this content into theatres, 'so fans can experience it on the big screen."
Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle will be released by Crunchyroll in both subtitled and English-dubbed formats. The special IMAX early screenings for Crunchyroll Mega and Ultimate Fan members will begin on September 9.

On Tuesday, it managed to rake in just around Rs 9.5 crore, and by Wednesday, the earnings dipped further to Rs 6.5 crore, bringing its Week 1 net total to Rs 222.5 crore. Rajinikanth's biggest box office hits With this, 'Coolie' is now Rajinikanth's third-biggest grosser in India. His sci-fi epic 2.0 remains untouchable at the top with Rs 407.05 crore net, followed by Jailer with Rs 348.55 crore. Worldwide collections According to trade reports on IMDB, the film's all-India gross stands at Rs 260.6 crore, while its overseas business has brought in Rs 162.2 crore. This takes Coolie's worldwide total to a massive Rs 422.8 crore within its first week. Made on a budget of Rs 350 crore, the film has already recovered costs and is now in clear profit territory. Clash with War 2 What makes this feat more remarkable is that Coolie has managed to achieve it despite a direct clash with Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR's War 2. While Coolie surged past the Rs 220 crore mark, War 2 is estimated to have ended the week slightly lower at around Rs 199 crore, highlighting Rajinikanth's box office dominance. As she chats with a camera in front of her and presents her food, something chilling happens: the doll suddenly bangs its hand on the table, as if demanding a bite. The account, which shared the video, claims the footage is completely unedited. What Happens In The Video? As the girl appears to be busy with her food, the doll's hand can be seen moving up and down. The first time, the child hears the sound and looks back, confused, before continuing to show off her toys. Near the end of the clip, the kid notices something moving in the camera and looks closely. As the doll's hand moves again, the child screams and flees the scene. The account claimed that the video was recorded in Spain. It added that the incident sparked several theories online, including the idea that there was a possible poltergeist in the house. The girl's parents, scared by the incident and concerned over the increase in paranormal activity in their house, got rid of the doll.
