Palestinian teen succumbs to wounds from Israeli gunfire near Jenin
Ibrahim Majed Ali Nasr was shot by Israeli live ammunition when forces entered the town of Qabatiya, south of Jenin city.
The teenager was shot in the chest, suffering a life-threatening injury, while another young man was injured in the leg, according to the Palestine Red Crescent Society. Nasr was later declared dead at the hospital in Jenin.
Israeli forces raided a house, with no detentions reported, in Qabatiya on Tuesday evening.
Nasr's killing raises the Palestinian death toll in Jenin governorate to 43 since the Israeli military assault began on Jan. 21. Dozens more have been injured or detained, the Palestine News Agency reported.

LONDON: Rights groups and diplomats have condemned the killing of Palestinian activist and journalist Awda Al-Hathaleen, who contributed to the Oscar-winning documentary 'No Other Land,' as calls grow for accountability over increasing settler violence in the occupied West Bank. Al-Hathaleen was shot in the chest on Monday during a raid by Israel settlers in Umm Al-Khair village in the South Hebron Hills. One of the settlers involved in the attack was identified as Yinon Levi, who has been sanctioned by the UK and the EU, while US President Donald Trump rescinded restrictions at the beginning of his presidency this year. In a statement on Wednesday, Amnesty International condemned the killing as a 'cold-blooded' act and 'a brutal reminder of the relentless violence faced by Palestinian communities.' The organization's senior director for research, advocacy, policy and campaigns, Erika Guevara Rosas, urged an independent international investigation into his death and growing settler violence in the territory. Describing the situation in the West Bank as state impunity for Israeli settler violence, Rosas called out Israeli authorities for what she described as a 'deliberate failure' to investigate settler attacks. She said an international inquiry 'must address the role of Israeli authorities' in fueling settler violence against Palestinians, pointing to the recurrent failure to ensure justice and protect Palestinians' lives. The French foreign ministry released a statement on Tuesday calling settler violence 'acts of terrorism,' and warning of increasing sanctions against Israeli government officials if such attacks continue. It condemned the rising settler attacks and urged Israeli authorities to 'uphold their responsibilities and immediately punish the perpetrators of such violence, which is continuing with impunity, and protect Palestinian civilians.' The ministry reiterated France's stance against the expansion of illegal settlements 'which is contrary to international law, as the International Court of Justice concluded in its advisory opinion of July 19, 2024.' In February last year, France sanctioned extremist Israeli settlers guilty of violence against Palestinian civilians in the West Bank. There are 28 individuals who face an administrative ban on entering the country.

Israeli settler accused of killing Palestinian involved in Oscar-winning West Bank film
JERUSALEM — An Israeli settler shot dead a Palestinian teacher who helped film Oscar-winning documentary No Other Land, according to the Palestinian education ministry and an Israeli-American activist who was at the scene of the shooting. No Other Land co-director Yuval Abraham said on X that a settler shot Odeh Hathaleen in the lungs in Umm Al-Khair village in the occupied West Bank. Residents allege the shooter was Yinon Levy, who is sanctioned by the UK. Attorney Avichai Hajbi said he was representing a resident "who felt his life was in danger, was forced to fire his weapon into the air" after residents were "attacked by an Arab mob, along with foreign activists, with stones and violence". Mattan Berner-Kadish, an Israeli-American activist at the scene, told the BBC that at about 17:20 local time (15:20 BST) on Monday, a bulldozer from a nearby Israeli settlement was driven through private Palestinian land, crushing a sewage pipe, multiple olive trees and two fences. Berner-Kadish and other activists, including Hathaleen's cousin Ahmad, ran to block the bulldozer. The activist said the driver hit Ahmad in the neck and shoulder with a drill that extended from the bulldozer, with his footage capturing Ahmad falling to the ground. Berner-Kadish did not believe Levy was attending to Ahmad's injuries, Berner-Kadish heard a pop. Running back to the village to get water, he saw Hathaleen lying bleeding from a gunshot wound and Levy, the only settler he saw, holding a a video believed to be filmed by a relative of Hathaleen and posted on social media, a man identified as Levy is seen holding a pistol with a bulldozer behind him, as men yell at him. Levy pushes at one man, who pushes back. Levy then raises his pistol and shoots ahead of him, then again into the clip cuts off when the person filming turns around to run away as women are heard footage does not show what or who the shots hit, if anything, and whether anyone else was shooting. Israel military intercepts Houthi missile fired from Yemen
JERUSALEM: Sirens sounded in several Israeli cities, including Jerusalem, on Tuesday as the military said it intercepted a missile launched from Yemen, with Houthi militants later claiming the attack. 'Following the sirens that sounded a short while ago in several areas in Israel, a missile launched from Yemen was intercepted by the Israeli air force,' the military said in a statement. The Houthis later claimed the attack, saying they had fired a missile at Ben Gurion airport near Tel Aviv. Yemen's Iran-backed Houthi fighters have launched repeated missile and drone attacks against Israel since their Palestinian ally Hamas's October 2023 attack on Israel sparked the Gaza war. The Houthis, who say they are acting in solidarity with Palestinians, paused their attacks during a two-month ceasefire in Gaza that ended in March, but renewed them after Israel resumed major operations.
