AP CM Chandrababu to visit Nellore today, to participate in pension distribution
Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is set to visit Nellore district on Thursday, focusing on various development initiatives within the Atmakur constituency. This marks Naidu's second visit to the area since the formation of the coalition government.
During his visit, the Chief Minister will actively participate in the distribution of pensions under the NTR Bharopa Pension Scheme at the Palem Tribal Colony and engage with construction workers in celebration of May Day. Additionally, he will assess the MSME (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) projects developed by the Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC) with a view to establishing industries that promise a brighter future for local youth.
The tour schedule is as follows: Naidu is expected to arrive at the helipad located within the premises of the Girls' Gurukula School at 11:30 am. He will commence his activities with the pension distribution at the Palem Tribal Colony at 11:50 am, followed by an interaction session with construction workers near the Andhra Engineering College at 12:10 pm. At 12:35 pm, he will inaugurate the Narampet MSME Park and virtually launch 50 MSME parks across the state.
Naidu will also host an interface programme with local residents at the Prajavedika from 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm, before meeting with party workers near TIDCO between 3:05 pm and 4:35 pm. He is scheduled to depart from the helipad at 4:40 pm.

KVIC disburses ₹300 cr subsidy to 8,794 beneficiaries under PMEGP scheme
The Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC), under the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), has disbursed ₹300 crore in margin money subsidy to 8,794 beneficiaries under the Prime Minister's Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP). The subsidy was released during a virtual programme held on Tuesday at KVIC's Central Office in Vile Parle (West), Mumbai. It corresponds to loans amounting to approximately ₹884 crore. Manoj Kumar, Chairman of KVIC, transferred the subsidy to beneficiaries via a virtual platform. CEO Roop Rashi and other senior officials were also present at the event. 'Khadi is the essence of Aatmanirbhar Bharat': KVIC chairman Since its inception, PMEGP has supported the establishment of 1.02 million micro enterprises up to FY 2024–25. Loans worth ₹73,348.39 crore have been sanctioned under the scheme, with margin money subsidies totalling ₹27,166.07 crore. The programme has generated direct and indirect employment for over nine million individuals across the country. Zone-wise disbursement details All six zones participated in the event. KVIC disburses margin money subsidy of Rs 300 crore to 8,794 beneficiaries
Mumbai: Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) on Thursday said it has disbursed margin money subsidy of Rs 300 crore to 8,794 beneficiaries across the country under the Prime Minister's Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP). The disbursement was made against loan sanction of about Rs 884 crore, said KVIC which comes under the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises. KVIC Chairman Manoj Kumar said that under the visionary leadership and guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, PMEGP scheme has presently created a strong and effective base of self-employment in India. 'Khadi and Village Industries is not just a product today, but it is the essence of vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat. This scheme has not only provided employment to lakhs of youth, but has also connected them with the power of entrepreneurship,' he added, All the six zones of the country actively participated in the disbursement programme. In total, 2,445 projects were approved for Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Puducherry of South Zone, for which subsidy of Rs 80.26 crore was disbursed. In the Central Zone, subsidy of Rs 91.13 crore was disbursed for 2,366 projects of Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Uttarakhand. A subsidy of Rs 62.68 crore was provided to a total of 2,167 projects in Eastern Zone for Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, West Bengal and Andaman and Nicobar and Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram and Tripura in the Northeast. A subsidy of Rs 41.80 crore was given for 1,320 projects of Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Punjab, and Rajasthan in the northern region. At the same time, 496 projects in Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Goa of the Western region received a subsidy of Rs 24.12 crore. Since its beginning till the financial year 2024-25, PMEGP has become a pillar of entrepreneurship and self-reliance in rural and urban India. A total of 10,18,185 micro enterprises have been established under the scheme so far, for which the government has sanctioned a loan of Rs 73,348.39 crore. In return, margin money subsidy of Rs 27,166.07 crore has been provided to the beneficiaries. So far, more than 90,04,541 people across the country have got direct and indirect employment through this scheme, which makes it one of the most effective self-employment schemes in the country.

Chandrababu Naidu Champions Recycling and Green Initiatives on World Environment Day
In a significant move to enhance environmental sustainability, Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has directed top officials to formulate a special policy on recycling. This announcement came during a sapling planting event held on June 5th, in Ananthavaram village, as part of World Environment Day celebrations. The Chief Minister, alongside Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan, actively participated in the initiative by planting saplings in the Amaravati region. During the event, CM Naidu emphasised the importance of inter-departmental coordination to effectively implement recycling efforts. He also highlighted the need to consider suggestions from Prime Minister Narendra Modi to enhance the green cover in Amaravati, instructing officials to focus on developing Miyawaki gardens—a dense planting method inspired by practices in Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Japan, and the United States. The Chief Minister has mandated that a comprehensive report on the recycling policy be submitted every 15 days, in collaboration with the Panchayati Raj, Urban Development, Pollution Control Board, and other relevant departments. Additionally, he called for the establishment of exhibitions on recycling across three areas, along with awareness campaigns for college students utilizing mobile units. At the event, CM Naidu and Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan explored stalls set up by the Pollution Control Board that highlighted various aspects of environmental protection. The occasion was also attended by Minister Narayana and several other ministers and senior officials. In line with these green initiatives, the coalition government is dedicated to developing the Amaravati capital to international standards, aiming for 30 percent of the area to be designated as blue and green spaces. The administration is taking proactive measures to ensure future temperatures are maintained at least 2 to 3 degrees lower, drawing on successful plantation strategies from countries like Singapore and Japan.
