Ingredient prices set to rise again
This comes after shoppers were told to watch their wallets in the second half of 2025 with costs expected to rise by over four per cent, trade experts have warned.
Food prices are set to soar once again with bread, eggs, cheese and butter all being hit hard after the Budget tax hikes.
Breakfast items have been most notably hit by the skyrocketing costs to produce food in the UK.
Cereal and coffee prices are set to steadily rise in the coming months as well as the staple such as breads, egg, cheese and butter.
Breakfast items have already faced rising prices in the past after it got drastically more expensive in January.
Food prices rose another 4.2 per cent with the return of punishing inflation after the Budget's business tax hike.
The price of basic groceries also jumped by record levels as farmers, food manufacturers and retailers passed on the higher costs caused by pandemic supply chain disruptions and the energy crisis.
Supermarkets including Sainsbury's, Morrisons and Marks & Spencer have all warned that shoppers will face higher prices because of higher taxes in the Budget.

DIY whizz proudly shares her £3 washing machine makeover – but everyone's pointing out to the same unfortunate blunder
ALTHOUGH essential, washing machines aren't necessarily the most aesthetically pleasing feature in your home. This is exactly why one woman decided to spruce hers up - however, people then pointed out to a rather unfortunate blunder, so can YOU spot it? 4 4 Desperate to give her basic washing machine a brand new look, Maddison Curle painted the white surface black. The fresh look was achieved without forking out a fortune either, using nothing but a can of spray paint for £3 from Wilko. This is significantly cheaper than forking out for a new black washing machine online or in-store, where it will set you back around £300 to £350 depending on the model. What's more, not only was this method wallet-friendly, using spray paint also saved Maddison time and ensured a more seamless result. Once the speedy makeover was over, the old washing machine was no longer an eyesore and fit perfectly with the sleek tile backsplash that was also black. Sharing snaps from before and after the quick glow-up, Maddison took to DIY on a Budget page where she wrote: ''Can of spray paint was 3 pound odd from wilko.'' The post has since taken the internet by storm, winning Maddison close to 175 likes and dozens of comments. But while plenty of people were left inspired to give their own features a makeover, many also pointed out to an unfortunate blunder. As the whole washing machine now appeared to be fully black, confused Facebook users wondered how the woman would be able to pick the right cycle. ''Looks gd [good] but how do you know which wash cycle to put on if you need to change?'' one person wondered. Doctor shares why you must never wash clothes at 90 or 40 degrees & the right temperature for 'everything but gym gear' Someone else chimed in: ''How do you know what program to use?'' ''I like it and I can get why you did it because white is so horrible, but how are you going to know where all the different washing cycles are?'' a third was baffled. Another commented: ''Nice, How will you know the programmes?'' ''Love this!! I vinyl covered my fridge freezer years ago, still looks good,'' a fan of the makeover said. 10 DIY hacks for under £1 each These simple and affordable DIY hacks can help you get creative while saving money Homemade Air Freshener: Mix baking soda with a few drops of your favorite essential oil. TikTok user @lifeatthelma showed how she had picked out a gorgeous sage green paint and had then taped a decorative stencil to the wall. She thought everything had gone swimmingly, until she peeled back the stencil to reveal her hard work. To her horror, the paint had spread until the stencil and it looked messy and not like the design she had wanted. Esparto local Bryan Sandoval told the Sacramento Bee: 'All we felt was everything shake.' He and his family evacuated immediately as smoke and fireworks lit up the sky. Footage from the scene shows white smoke billowing from the roof of the warehouse before it is engulfed by a fireball in a violent explosion. Fireworks burst midair above the wreckage, crackling and exploding as if part of a chaotic, unplanned display. A massive column of smoke soared up to 15,000 feet, visible for miles around. Videos also captured the terrifying sight of rogue fireworks firing in every direction, igniting spot fires in dry grass and fields around the warehouse. The flames quickly spread across an estimated 80 acres of surrounding land, threatening nearby highways and farmland. Several commercial buildings on the property were completely consumed by fire, according to Esparto Fire Protection District Chief Curtis Lawrence. Fire crews responded to the incident shortly before 6pm and "a few commercial buildings well-involved, as well as numerous explosions and numerous spot fires throughout the area," Lawrence said. July is best month to plant bright pink flower in a sunny spot & it adds a splash of glamour to the garden in autumn
Plus, other gardening tasks to do in July GARDEN GEM July is best month to plant bright pink flower in a sunny spot & it adds a splash of glamour to the garden in autumn Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) GARDENING enthusiasts will find plenty of jobs to do in July to prepare for the autumn. With temperatures soaring, many Brits will be outdoors and now is the perfect time to get on with some gardening tasks. But a gardening expert has revealed that July is when you should start planting flowers for the colder seasons. Jamie Shipley, managing director of Hedges Direct, suggested that people plant bulbs that bloom in the autumn, such as pretty-in-pink nerine, to get ahead of the game. She told GB: "These flowers love a sun-baked spot at the base of a sunny wall." Nerine has a long-lasting bloom, with its bright pink flower adding colour to your garden. According to The Royal Horticultural Society, nerines are 'great for adding a splash of glamour to the autumn garden" as they produce "flowerheads in particularly vivid shades of pink, as well as bright white and red.' Before planting, make sure to pick a warm, protected location, such a bed next to a sunny wall, in soil that drains well and holds moisture for hardy nerines. Nerine bulbs should be planted 10cm apart, with the neck of the bulb visible above ground. Ideally, spread a coating of grit around them. They prefer to be planted alone in clusters as opposed to being mixed up with perennials. Alan Titchmarsh's top 7 plants that 'transform ugly fences with gorgeous flowers & fragrance' & they grow for years You can leave bulbs undisturbed in the ground to grow and flower. The only time you need to tend to nerines is when lumps get crowded and flowering starts to wane. At this time, you might want to split and replant them. Nerine can become extremely dry if planted at the base of a wall since they are protected from the rain. Water them once a week during dry weather throughout April to July. The foliage naturally fading is a good indication to stop watering. Jamie also added: "There are plenty of gardening jobs to get done during July. "Weeding, deadheading, and tying in will help plants look their best, plus being on the lookout for pests and keeping sustainability in mind when it comes to watering and mowing." According to the expert, this time of year is a good opportunity to tie in young growth on all your vertically growing plants that require a support. Jamie also urged gardeners to remove faded or spent flowers from their plants. Last but not least, gardeners should mow the lawn in July, making sure to increase the cutting height.
