The major blast happened on Tuesday evening
Terrified homeowners said the ground trembled beneath them as towering inferno engulfed multiple structures.
Esparto local Bryan Sandoval told the Sacramento Bee: 'All we felt was everything shake.'
He and his family evacuated immediately as smoke and fireworks lit up the sky.
Footage from the scene shows white smoke billowing from the roof of the warehouse before it is engulfed by a fireball in a violent explosion.
Fireworks burst midair above the wreckage, crackling and exploding as if part of a chaotic, unplanned display.
A massive column of smoke soared up to 15,000 feet, visible for miles around.
Videos also captured the terrifying sight of rogue fireworks firing in every direction, igniting spot fires in dry grass and fields around the warehouse.
The flames quickly spread across an estimated 80 acres of surrounding land, threatening nearby highways and farmland.
Several commercial buildings on the property were completely consumed by fire, according to Esparto Fire Protection District Chief Curtis Lawrence.
Fire crews responded to the incident shortly before 6pm and "a few commercial buildings well-involved, as well as numerous explosions and numerous spot fires throughout the area," Lawrence said.

By 7.30pm, crews had managed to halt the fire's advance, but hot spots continued to smoulder overnight.
The Yolo County Sheriff's Office issued a one-mile evacuation order shortly after the initial blast.
'At this time, the cause of the explosion remains unknown,' the office said, adding that drones are being used to assess the wreckage and that updates would follow as the investigation unfolds.

Mum says she's been ‘given 2 months to move out' after row with ‘idiot' landlord – but trolls say ‘it's not YOUR house'
The stressed mum explained she wouldn't be able to save enough money for a new deposit in such little time HOUSE THAT Mum says she's been 'given 2 months to move out' after row with 'idiot' landlord – but trolls say 'it's not YOUR house' Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) A STRESSED mum has revealed her landlord has given her just two months to move out after the pair had an argument. The mum, who simply goes by The Maiden on social media, took to TikTok for some advice after she explained she didn't have enough money to move. She claimed she received the two months notice because of an argument with her "idiot" landlord. "The landlord didn't fix some sockets in our kitchen in reported in March, he turned up in June and wondered why I was angry," she explained in the viral clip. According to Citizen's Advice, after formally notifying your landlord of issues they should respond in a reasonable timeframe, so it's no wonder the mum wasn't happy with how slow things were moving. Not only that, the mum said she's been living in the home with her son for seven years, so she'd well and truly settled in. "I've just got the boy into a school right by this house and now he's given me two months to move," she added. According to the mum, during her seven years in the home she'd never been late with rent and had in fact always paid three days early. But none of that mattered to the harsh landlord, who decided to chuck the mum and her son out. Things went from bad to worse for the mum because she admitted she wouldn't be able to gather enough money for a deposit for another rented house in the timeframe given, leaving her in limbo. Luckily, many people offered support in the comment section, with one urging the mum to take the landlord to court. Tenants catch out landlord's sly 'overcharging trick' - and now they've won massive $34,000 payout "Don't leave before the bailiffs come," one person commented. "This is a revenge eviction and unlawful," a second said. "That's no good reason, truly. Go to Citizens Advice," someone else suggested. Meanwhile, other renters said they found themselves in similar situations with their own dodgy landlords. "Ours hiked our rent over 40% because we pushed for repairs to damp and mould," one said. "We went through the same last year and had been in the house eight years," another revealed. But others weren't so kind to the struggling mum, as some said she had no reason to complain, since the house isn't technically hers. "There's two sides to every story," one person slammed. "I would like to know why you renters think it's ok for your landlord to be out of pocket," a second wrote. "It's not your house, to be fair," another chimed in.

South Lanarkshire is flying the flag for autism awareness
Autistic Pride Day was held this year on June 18. Two Hamilton pupils marked Autistic Pride Day by raising an awareness flag outside of South Lanarkshire Council's HQ. Five-year old Max and 12-year-old Caleb from St John's Primary School helped officials to raise the flag on Autistic Pride Day, which was held this year on June 18. Recognised annually, the day celebrates the importance and value of autistic people within society. And 2025 marks the seventh year that South Lanarkshire Council has flown the flag to honour Autistic Pride Day. Chair of the council's Social Work Resources Committee, Councillor Margaret Walker, said: 'The flag lets our entire autism and wider neurodivergent community know that South Lanarkshire Council is committed to raising awareness and understanding. 'It's important that people are treated with dignity, respect and listened to – and the work of the Autism Resources Co-ordination Hub (ARCH), is a great example of that.' Professor Soumen Sengupta, chief officer for health and social care, said: 'Autism Pride Day provides an important public opportunity for us to recognise the contributions of autistic members of our communities and celebrate the strength that comes from valuing diversity. 'My thanks to Max and Caleb for leading the way at the flag raising.' *Don't miss the latest headlines from around Lanarkshire. Sign up to our newsletters here. I was fed up of looking at my ugly bins but didn't want to fork out £400 for a cover – so I made my own for a bargain £9
The finished project hides the bins from sight WHEELY GOOD I was fed up of looking at my ugly bins but didn't want to fork out £400 for a cover – so I made my own for a bargain £9 Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) THERE are some items in your garden your can't really get rid of, but aren't exactly appealing to look at. Of course, you could fork out a small fortune to cover them up, but who wants to spend so much money? Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 3 The finished bin cover looked just as good as posh, expensive ones Credit: Facebook 3 Catherine made the bin cover from scraps she had already Credit: Facebook 3 Wheelie bin can be a bit of an eyesore Credit: Getty The worst offender? Wheely bins. That's why one gardening whizz decided to take matters into her own hands and made a DIY cover for her bins. Taking to the popular Facebook group Gardening on a Budget, the DIY whizz, called Catherine, showed off her creation. She wrote: "When you're fed up looking at the ugly bins but the price of them covers are shocking for all they are... what do you do?" In the viral post, Catherine shared a snap of her three brightly coloured wheely bins - quite the eyesore. Luckily, the DIY whizz had plenty of old wood laying around her garden to help make the new bin cover. She started by cutting the off bits of wood to size before painting them all the same shade of brown. Soon the bin cover started to take shape, and it looked pretty expensive. But Catherine explained the whole thing only ended up costing £9. "I had paint laying there already, and Jim was throwing the reeds out. I spent £9quid on castor wheels. Bargain," she said. 'I was quoted £10,000 for a garden renovation but did it MYSELF for £1,000 using ChatGPT to show my kids what single mums can do' In the end, the cover hid the bins from sight, which Catherine said was her end goal. After showing off her handywork, other garden fans were impressed with the nifty bin cover. One said: "You've inspired me to try something similar with mine." Garden features that add the most value to a house A well-kept garden can add anywhere between 5-20% to the value of a property. carried out a study and consulted 36 estate agents, garden designers and property professionals from across the UK. And the experts revealed the garden feature which adds the most value to a property is a shed. And a third chimed in: "They are so expensive! Yours looks fabulous." The garden whizz then added that she ran out of wood, so wasn't able to make a lid for the cover but could do in the future. But in a bid to disguise the bins more, she painted the lids brown too, which helped them blend in even more.
