The 19th day of the rap mogul's sex trafficking trial resumed June 9 following his defense team's second request for a mistrial, according to NBC News reporters in the courtroom.
Over the weekend, attorney Alexandra Shapiro filed a motion viewed by E! News, in which she argued that his ex Cassie Ventura and her friend Bryana Bongolan of lying about the latter being dangled from a 17th-floor balcony in 2016 by Combs.
His defense team—whose first motion was denied by Judge Arun Subramanian May 28—accused the prosecution of 'misconduct' with the 'introduction of perjured testimony.'
The prosecution will respond to the motion and the judge is set to respond June 10.
As the jury awaits the decision, Combs' ex—who is going by 'Jane' during the trial and was identified as 'Victim-2' in the indictment—has returned to the witness box following an emotional testimony about alleged abuse in their relationship.

'Jane' said that she felt she had to keep having sex with men for Combs during 'hotel nights'—which were referred to in the indictment and by Ventura and other witnesses as "freak offs"—because she was financially dependent on him.
'My feeling of obligation really started to stem from the fact that my partner was paying my rent,' she told the jury June 6, alleging that if she objected to his sexual requests, 'He would just start saying things like 'If you want to break, that's fine. Do you need, like, three more months in the house? Because I'm not about to be paying for a woman's rent that I'm not even seeing.''
She said that Combs began paying the rent for her home in April 2023, two years into their relationship, and is still doing so after he allegedly proposed a 'love contract' the month before.
'Jane' broke down in tears during her testimony after recalling a 'hotel night' on her birthday, which she specifically requested not to do.
'I just sat there on the couch, got in position to have intercourse, so we could just get it over with,' she told jurors. 'I asked Sean for a condom. Sean was giving me this really bad look. He gave me a dirty look, like shaking his head and said, 'You better not ask for a f--king condom.''
After Combs allegedly handing the escort the condom, she said he was 'so dismissive.'
'He was walking away,' she testified. 'He looked so disappointed while all of this was happening. It made me feel really bad. I just wanted it to be over.'

Reasonable Doubt Duo Talk Morris Chestnut's Season 3 Return, Hype Joseph Sikora and Other Additions

Faces familiar and new will rock Jax's world when Season 3 of Reasonable Doubt hits Hulu. Created by Raamla Mohamed and the first scripted drama from Onyx Collective (an initiative to create 'culturally specific, wildly entertaining content'), Reasonable Doubt stars Emayatzy Corinealdi (Ballers, Hand of God) as Jax Stewart, a high-powered criminal defense attorney from Los Angeles who 'fiercely bucks the justice system through wild interpretations of the law and sometimes questionable ethics, all while trying to deal with a failing marriage and the pitfalls of motherhood.' Cook The series also stars McKinley Freeman (Queen Sugar) as Jax's husband Lewis, Tim Jo (This Is Us) as Daniel, Angela Grovey (Joyful Noise) as Krystal, Thaddeus J. Mixson (Candy Cane Lane) as Spenser and Aderinsola Olabode as Naima. Morris Chestnut joined the cast in Season 2 as defense lawyer Corey Cash, but his character moved on from Jax's firm after they closed a key case in the finale. Chestnut, however, will return/recur in Season 3, despite now headlining CBS' already-renewed freshman hit Watson. Chestnut's encore is 'one of the things that makes this season interesting,' Corinealdi shares with TVLine in the video above, from Disney's 2025 Upfront. 'We know he's coming back, but in what capcity, we're going to see.' As Freeman notes, 'a talent like Morris Chestnut only improves the production, so we're fortunate to have him. 'But the cast we have added for Season 3 is phenomenal,' he raves. In Season 3 (premiere date TBA), 'After a tumultuous season of fighting to save her best friend from a life sentence while healing from her own deadly affair, Jax Stewart has finally earned some peace in her life … even if she sees it all as a little boring,' the synopsis tells us. 'So, when a former child star finds himself in a heap of trouble, Jax seizes the opportunity to spice up her daily routine. But when her client's personal life turns out to have all the drama and danger of a Hollywood movie — and Jax's own professional future comes under threat from a charismatic associate at her firm — can Jax clear her client's name without losing the personal and professional successes she's worked so hard for?' New recurring players on tap for Season 3 include Kyle Bary (Ginny & Georgia) as Ozzie, the former star of a long-running sitcom; Rumer Willis (Empire) as Ozzie's stylist and girlfriend; Brandee Evans (P-Valley) as Ozzie's agent; April Parker Jones (If Loving You Is Wrong) as Ozzie's imperious 'momager' and Keith Arthur Bolden (Cobra Kai) as his father; and Richard Brooks (Being Mary Jane) as a ghost from Jax's past who threatens to unravel everything she's worked so hard to build. Perhaps most significantly, though, Joseph Sikora — who plays Tommy Egan in Starz's Power universe — will fill the series regular role of Bill Sterling, a coworker at Jax's firm who started his law career later in life after serving as a Coast Guard for 10 years. Now he is looking to make partner, and his proximity to Jax becomes imperative to his success. Teasing the introduction of Sikora's character, Corinealdi says, 'Just know this: Jax does not suffer fools, and Jax is very protective of what she's built. So we'll get to see what happens between her and [Bill Sterling.' Want scoop on , or for any other TV show? Shoot an email to InsideLine@ and your question may be answered via Matt's Inside Line! Sean 'Diddy' Combs' ex-girlfriend says she cried for three days after reading Cassie's lawsuit

NEW YORK (AP) — Sean 'Diddy' Combs' recent ex-girlfriend told Combs that she cried for three days after reading R&B artist Casandra 'Cassie' Ventura's 2023 lawsuit against the music mogul, a case that described hundreds of drug-laced marathon sex sessions with Combs and other men as 'horrific encounters.' The woman, who is known in court by the pseudonym Jane, testified Monday that she felt like she was 'reading my own sexual trauma' as she read the lawsuit, which was settled within a day for $20 million. She read aloud in Manhattan federal court a text message that she sent Combs three days after the lawsuit was filed in November 2023. She said that she had been crying for three days and felt nauseous. She said three pages of the lawsuit addressing what Cassie referred to as 'freak-offs' and what Jane has called 'hotel nights' followed her experience with the Bad Boy Entertainment founder 'word for word, exactly my experience.' Assistant U.S. Attorney Maurene Comey raised the subject of the lawsuit as Jane testified for a third day about her experiences with Combs for over three years until his arrest last September. Cassie testified for four days earlier in the trial, saying she engaged in the weekly sexual performances as Combs mostly watched or filmed her sexual activities with male sex workers in sessions that often lasted for days. Cassie dated Combs for nearly 11 years, ending in 2018. Combs has pleaded not guilty to sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy charges that could put him in prison from 15 years to life if he is convicted. Prior to bringing up Cassie's lawsuit on Monday, Comey elicited from Jane that she had protested the way Combs was treating her in the weeks before Cassie sued. She read aloud for the jury hundreds of text messages that she had exchanged with Combs, including some in which she complained that he seemed to be forcing her into the sexual encounters by threatening to take away her Los Angeles home. He had begun paying for the residence months earlier. She pleaded with him to recognize the damage the sex marathons were doing to her, writing: 'I am not an animal.' Jane's testimony was expected to fill the bulk of the trial's fifth week, as prosecutors move closer to finishing the presentation of their evidence before the defense gets its turn. As in her previous two days on the stand last week, Jane became emotional and cried briefly Monday, but was mostly composed as she discussed her experiences with a man she said she loved. She acknowledged that she had reviewed some of the sex sessions with prosecutors prior to beginning testimony last Thursday. Comey asked her what she saw on them. 'I saw me,' she responded, before adding: 'following a pattern.' She added that with the 'majority of these tapes it was like the same show over and over again.' Jane said that after she expressed her frustrations and desire to only have sexual relations with Combs, the verbal fights between them would sometimes be resolved when Combs would say all the things she wanted to hear and promise to spend time with her without a 'hotel night.' Then, she said, when she saw Cassie's lawsuit, 'I almost fainted.'

After Washington state resident Travis Decker was charged with the murders of his daughters Paityn, 9, Evelyn, 8, and Olivia, 5, a U.S. Marshals Service affidavit, obtained by NBC News, reveals that he had suspicious searches on his Google account. 'These Google searches included the following: 'how does a person move to canada,' 'how to relocate to canada,' 'jobs canada' and 'jobs canada,'' US Deputy Marshal Keegan Stanley wrote in the June 6 affidavit, per NBC. 'After the above-listed Google searches, he visited the site 'Find a job - A manhunt is currently underway for Decker, 32, who has not been seen since his daughters were found dead with plastic bags over their heads in Chelan County, Washington near his abandoned truck June 2. The former couple, Cozart noted, had been divorced for many years but maintained a friendly relationship as co-parents. During the hand-off, Cozart explained that Decker told his ex-wife he would bring their daughters back to her at 8 p.m. that day, as their custody agreement did not allow for overnight visits. When Decker did not show up at the allotted time, Whitney became worried and called him—but his phone went straight to voicemail. She called authorities later that night, according to an affidavit obtained by NBC News. Cozart told CNN that Decker had struggled with mental health issues, but said, 'He never displayed any sort of 'red flags' to Whitney." In an affidavit obtained by NBC News, Decker is described as a military veteran who is 'well versed in wilderness survival and capable of spending days or even weeks in the wilderness on his own and with very little equipment.'
