'I honestly don't care what they play at my funeral; they can put on a medley of Justin Bieber, Susan Boyle and We Are the Diddymen if it makes 'em happy,' he shared in a 2011 Times column.
'I'd also like some pranks: maybe the sound of knocking inside the coffin; or a video of me asking my doctor for a second opinion on his diagnosis of 'death,'' the Prince of Darkness quipped.
'There'll be no harping on the bad times.'
Ozzy's family announced his passing via a statement. 'It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. How Cristiano Ronaldo wallpaper fuelled Mohammed Siraj's Oval Test heroics
Fast bowler Mohammed Siraj woke up two hours earlier than usual on Monday morning in London. The first thing he did was search for a motivational wallpaper for his mobile phone. He came across an image of his idol Cristiano Ronaldo with the word 'Believe' emblazoned across it. It was exactly what he needed before stepping onto the field at The Oval for the final session of the Anderson-Tendulkar Siraj visualised on his bed, he would go on to become the hero for India — the man who brought smiles to over a billion Indians, claiming a five-wicket haul in India's thrilling six-run win over England. With 35 runs required and four wickets in hand, England began the final day with a slight edge. They still had the explosive wicketkeeper-batter Jamie Smith and two all-rounders to come, but Siraj's fiery burst helped India snatch victory and level the series 2–2. | Oval Test Day 5 Highlights |Speaking to the press after his Player of the Match-winning performance, Siraj proudly showed journalists his phone wallpaper featuring Cristiano Ronaldo. England vs India, 5th Test Day 5 Highlights 'This morning when I woke up, I searched for this emoji — 'Believe' with Cristiano Ronaldo. I knew I could do something special. Normally, I wake up at 8, but today I got up at 6am. From that moment, I believed I could do it. I made it my wallpaper. Belief is very important,' Siraj Siraj struck the first blow of the day by dismissing Jamie Smith, and then sealed India's win with a searing yorker that bowled all-rounder Gus Atkinson. Chris Woakes, who bravely walked out to bat left-handed despite a dislocated shoulder, was left stranded as England were bowled out for 367 in their chase of a day earlier, India had looked all but beaten. During the second session on Day 4, England were cruising thanks to a 195-run stand between Harry Brook and Joe Root. Ironically, Siraj himself had dropped Brook on 19 — a costly miss that seemed destined to haunt India. The World No. 1 Test batter made them pay, hammering 111 off just 90 balls before falling to the final delivery before that point, England were 301 for 3, and victory looked inevitable. Root went on to bring up his 39th Test hundred, and an English win seemed only a matter of India staged a spirited comeback late on Day 4, with Prasidh Krishna claiming two wickets before rain cut the session short. When play resumed on Day 5, India came out firing — their energy renewed — and made life extremely difficult for the hosts, wrapping up the match in just 53 on the turnaround, Siraj emphasised the power of belief, even in moments when defeat seemed certain.'I've worked hard on my game. I never think ill of anyone. Being selected out of 1.4 billion people is a huge thing. You're representing your entire country. Today, there are smiles on the faces of 1.4 billion people. I want to be honest about my game and believe in my ability. That's important as a professional cricketer,' he finished the series with 23 wickets — the highest by any bowler in the five-Test series. The fast bowler delivered 185.3 overs in total, pushing through pain but never relenting.- EndsTune InMust Watch

How Indian pacer Mohd Siraj manifested winning final Test for Team India?
The word impossible is not a part of Mohammed Siraj's dictionary as he always believed that he can win the final Test for India from any point as he pulled off one of the biggest heists in the traditional format in recent times. "I woke up in the morning and checked google on my phone and took out a 'Believe' emoji wallpaper and told myself that I will do it for the country." Without Jasprit Bumrah, the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of Telangana Police bowled 185.3 overs to take 23 wickets, and it couldn't have been more fitting that he earned India a win for posterity. "I always believe that I can win the game from any point, and did that to the morning," Siraj told Dinesh Karthik in a post match chat for Jio Hotstar. Having consistently troubled the English batters, Siraj finished with 5 for 104 in 30.1 overs and a match haul of nine wickets. "My only plan was to bowl good areas. Didn't matter if I took wickets or went for runs," Siraj said. His feet touched the boundary rope while trying to catch Harry Brook when the batter was on 19. Brook scored a smashing ton and it looked like the match slipping from India's grasp. "I didn't think I'd touch the cushion when I took it. It was a match-changing moment. Brook got into T20 moment. We were behind the game after that but Thank God. I thought the match was gone," Siraj said.

Vivek Agnihotri Compares Himself To Sandeep Reddy Vanga: 'He Speaks Fearlessly, Like Me'
Last Updated: Vivek Agnihotri calls Sandeep Reddy Vanga his 'alter ego' and defends the Animal director's portrayal of toxic masculinity. Known for his candid and often polarising takes, filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri recently struck a surprisingly appreciative tone while speaking about three major figures in Indian cinema—Karan Johar, Anurag Kashyap, and Sandeep Reddy Vanga. In a conversation with Humans of Bombay, the director of The Kashmir Files not only praised their contributions to the industry but also defended Sandeep's controversial brand of storytelling. Starting with Karan Johar, Agnihotri acknowledged the filmmaker's impact on redefining commercial cinema. 'I really want to praise Karan Johar because he changed the commerciability of commercial cinema. He took it to a different scale. And just like how I am the brand ambassador of my films, he is the ambassador of his films. He is the face of Dharma Productions," he said. Reflecting on Johar's multifaceted career, he added, 'Earlier, he used to be introduced as a fashion diva and anchor. But, he is a personality to look up to. Secondly, he took his father's business from a boutique production house to a mass production house. He has also given breaks to several talented film directors—Ayan Mukerji, Shashank Khaitan. He has also given break to several stars and star kids. He has created shows for television and OTT. He even changed the scale of award shows by being an anchor. He has done a lot of great things." On Anurag Kashyap, Agnihotri credited the Gangs of Wasseypur director with reviving the spirit of independent cinema. 'Before him, it was Shyam Benegal, Govind Nihalani and Prakash Jha. But they too turned into commercial directors. But Anurag has fought a war and he has given break to several small-town boys and girls. He has instilled confidence in people whose war was with English. Today, they believe even they are capable of doing something in life. Several talented people have come from Anurag—both filmmakers, and actors," he observed. However, Agnihotri also noted what he sees as a creative plateau in Kashyap's journey, 'Despite all these achievements, I personally believe he has not exploited his full potential. Maybe due to his own complexities, he is yet to exploit his full potential. He took a flight, up and quick, and then there was no conclusion to that. He couldn't take his own success to a logical conclusion." The conversation then turned to Animal and Kabir Singh director Sandeep Reddy Vanga—someone Agnihotri described as his 'alter ego in the industry." 'Sandeep Reddy Vanga is more like my alter ego in the industry. Just like me he speaks fearlessly," he said. On the persistent criticisms of toxic masculinity in Vanga's work, Agnihotri defended the director's vision. 'People question Sandeep Reddy Vanga for toxic masculinity, but what is really happening in the society? Isn't it the truth? Does your society respect women? It is just his storytelling. He is showing the world to the people from his point of view," he explained. He further elaborated on the importance of perspective in storytelling, drawing a comparison with his own work and Shekhar Kapur's Bandit Queen. 'Many asked me 'Why did you not show the film from the other point of view?' How can I do that? Why will I show the film from a terrorist's point of view? And how will I even make an attempt at it when I don't even know how they see the world? Even Shekhar Kapur was questioned when he made Bandit Queen from Phoolan Devi's perspective. But, over a period of time, people realised that Bandit Queen was right. After Pahalgam attack, people realised Kashmir Files was right. I am not claiming that I believe in Vanga. I am just saying he has the right to tell stories from his point of view. People who are abusing him, are also using their right. But, at the end of the day, he is laughing looking at his bank." As a parting thought, Agnihotri suggested that the backlash against Vanga isn't rooted in moral outrage—but envy. 'If his movies will fail, nobody will have an issue. They are having an issue, because it is working for him," he concluded. view comments First Published: August 04, 2025, 22:00 IST Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's.
