Urgent appeal to trace three men over fatal Leeds hit-and-run
Police investigating a fatal hit-and-run have named three men wanted in connection with the crash.Ashton Kitchen-White, 19, died after he was hit by a red Ford Focus as he crossed Middleton Ring Road, in Beeston Park, Leeds on Friday.West Yorkshire Police have now named Regan Kemp, from Cornwall, and Macauley Martin and Liam Miller, both from Scotland, as suspects they "urgently want to trace".Appealing for help, Det Ch Insp James Entwistle, said: "Now is clearly not a time for any misguided sense of loyalty to come above the needs of Ashton's heartbroken family."
The force said Regan Kemp, 26, was from St Just, Penzance, while Macauley Martin, 26, was from Livingston, West Lothian and Liam Miller, 24, was from Polbeth, West Lothian. They said it was thought each had returned to those areas following the collision.Mr Entwistle said: "We would urge anyone who has seen any of them in their respective areas around Penzance in Cornwall or Livingstone in Scotland, or who has any information that could help to locate them, to contact us immediately."Ashton was clearly a much-loved and popular young man with a bright future ahead of him, and his family have been left absolutely devastated by his death in such sudden and senseless circumstances."
Mr Kitchen-White's family said he was "one in a million" and had been about to "embark on his journey to become a doctor at Leeds University".The force said a 15-year-old boy and a 19-year-old man arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving were now no longer being treated as suspects and had been released from their bail.Anyone who witnessed the collision or who may have relevant dashcam or mobile phone footage is asked to contact police.

Moment Fiat 500 with boot hanging open does DONUTS on grass & speeds backwards as 60 masked youths spark daylight chaos
THIS is the moment a battered Fiat 500 races BACKWARDS up a street and does donuts on a patch of grass after broad daylight chaos erupted. Up to 60 yobs - many wearing balaclavas - sparked carnage on the streets in Salford, Greater Manchester, yesterday afternoon. 6 6 Riot cops were called in to tackle the chaos, which saw a police car's windscreen smashed in and hooded yobs on bikes taking to the streets. Four arrests have been made following the disorder, including a 16-year-old girl who has been charged with assaulting a police officer. She has been released on bail and is due to appear in court at a later date. Shocking footage shows a white Fiat 500 speeding down the road with its boot door wide open. In the video, the car - which had a missing bumper and an open boot - can be seen reversing down the road. After pacing up and down the street, the vehicle sped onto the pavement and began doing donuts on a local lawn. The Fiat was driven by a group of masked youths, who can be seen dangling out of the car's windows. Meanwhile, a black car tried to pass through the chaos but was forced to repeatedly stop due to the Fiat's erratic driving. Bins had also been laid out across the road, making it even more difficult for vehicles to pass. In a separate video, several youths can be seen stalking the street on motorbikes and hanging from another black vehicle. The yobs also set fire to a vehicle and smashed the windscreen of one of a cop car. "A large number of officers will be remaining in the area over night as a precaution. 'We are aware of speculation online that this incident is linked to immigration, this is categorically incorrect. 'There are currently no ongoing incidents in the area, however, tensions remain heightened, and we have robust plans in place, should we need to respond to any further incidents. "I would also like to thank members of the public for their patience and support while we continue to deal with this incident.' Investigation after fans 'jeer player' at rugby league youth game
Rugby league's governing body is investigating reports of fans heckling a young player as he attempted to take a kick during a junior player for Widnes-based West Bank Bears allegedly was jeered during an under-14 youth cup semi-final against Hull side Myton Farrell, the chairman of the Bears, described the heckling as "disgraceful", but praised the player for "keeping his cool".In a statement, a spokesperson for Myton Warriors said the club would not tolerate poor behaviour. Pitch invasion Some spectators are reported to have entered the field of play during the match at the Bears' ground in Widnes on Farrell said it had been "a cracking game" for the most part, but added that he was disappointed with the behaviour of some criticised those who took part in a pitch invasion after the Bears scored a try shortly before the end. "We've never had an incident like this before," he Farrell said the club was taking disciplinary action against those identified as being involved in the "melee" on the pitch, including banning them from the Bank Bears won the game 14-10 and will now play in the British Amateur Rugby League Association national youth cup final.
