LeBron James' New Addiction Gets Noticed on Monday

LeBron James enters the 2025-26 NBA season (his 23rd) as a 21-time All-Star, four-time NBA champion, four-time league MVP and the NBA's all-time leading scorer. Last year, he averaged 24.4 points, 8.2 assists and 7.8 rebounds per game for the Los Angeles Lakers, who suffered a first-round exit in the playoffs. While still producing at an elite level, James' future has been a subject of speculation. He exercised his player option to remain with the Lakers, but offseason reports have hinted at underlying tension as the franchise pivots toward newly acquired star Luka Doncic. For now, however, James remains committed to Los Angeles — and to his new hobby. On Monday, Kevin Love, James' former teammate and good friend, posted a mix of personal snapshots and familiar faces on Instagram — but one short video drew the most attention. In it, James is seen teeing up on a golf course, taking another swing that has quickly become a recurring talking point among fans. Fans were quick to make their voices heard on James' golf swing. "Bron's swing is an absolute thing of beauty," said one user. "LBJ gotta chill 😂," another fan replied. "LeBron's swing is the worst thing I've seen," one other user remarked. "You have the best posts!" commented another fan. "Lebron addicted to golf is real 😂," said one other user. "You both look great @katelove absolutely gorgeous 🙌🏼@kevinlove you really need to talk with @kingjames about his ⛳️ swing 😂🤦🏼‍♀️," another fan replied. LeBron James Golf Debut and Viral Swing James' golf journey became public on July 4, when he posted a video that showed him hitting shots, his unrefined swing drawing comparisons to Charles Barkley's famously awkward form. The golf world immediately took notice. Former PGA Tour winner Jordan Spieth offered swing tips, while Stephen Curry playfully impersonated James' follow-through at the American Century Championship, turning the clips into a light offseason storyline. Since then, James has posted multiple clips, including one in the Dominican Republic where he played through heavy rain and formally admitted to being "addicted" to the game. James' newfound love for golf mirrors a path taken by other NBA greats, such as Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant and Curry, who have turned to the sport as both a competitive outlet and a lifestyle pursuit. James, now entering the twilight of his playing career, seems serious about pursuing this new challenge. Exclusive: Tia Mowry Says 'It's Not About Being the Perfect Parent' During Back-to-School Season

If you purchase an independently reviewed product or service through a link on our website, SheKnows may receive an affiliate commission. Back-to-school season is here, and everyone is feeling the stress: parents, teachers, and kids alike. It's a hectic time, with new schedules and supplies, and the challenge of making easy weeknight dinners that won't burn you out at the end of a long day. But luckily, moms like Tia Mowry are trying to help fellow parents through all the craziness, one step at a time. 'Hello, Cruel World' Author Melinda Wenner Moyer Has Ideas Think Spring! Target Just Added Tons of Gorgeous New Patio Items Target Is Having a Can't-Miss Spring Sandal Sale for Circle Members Mowry has collaborated with many initiatives over the years, with one goal in mind when selecting partnerships: to help parents feel like they're not alone. Now, she's partnering with General Mills, which she calls the 'perfect fit' for her to team up with for the back-to-school season. She says, 'I'm really excited to be partnering up with General Mills and Box Tops for education because they basically want to support families during the transition from summer to adjusting to this whole back-to-school routine.' 'I am a mom of two, and I totally understand the back-to-school routine,' Mowry tells SheKnows. 'I understand how it can be overwhelming at times [with] getting the kids up early, making breakfast, making sure that the kids have brushed their teeth, they have on clean socks, underwear, making sure that their backpacks are packed, and then just getting the kids out of the house at a decent time. I understand how all of this is happening all at once.' It's definitely happening all at once, and no one knows that better than Mowry, who wants parents to remember something crucial: 'It's not about being the perfect parent. It's about finding ways and strategies that can make this thing called parenthood easier and less stressful.' But those aren't the only words of wisdom we gleaned from this multitalented mama. Below, see what Mowry told SheKnows about back-to-school season, self-care, and what fans can expect from her for the rest of 2025. On Back-to-School Season & Self-Care So what is this program she's so passionate about for the back-to-school season? It's an initiative to help parents help their kids' schools — and get something super-important to their kids in the process: free snacks! 'General Mills is actually giving away free snacks,' she reveals, saying all families have to do is just buy any General Mills products that also have Box Tops for Education on the product, and they can get a rebate (up to $12.99!). She adds, 'The best part about the program is they can download the Box Tops for Education app, and then that app will tally up points or cash to give back to local schools in the area, which is so amazing because it's all about supporting community.' (But, Mowry reminds us, you have to remember to scan the receipts in the app to make it happen!) While she's making the hectic season easier for others, Mowry is also finding ways to make it all easier on herself and her own children: Cree, 14, and Cairo, 7. 'One thing that I love doing is just putting some of our favorite General Mills snacks by the door as they head out to school. They can just grab whatever it is that they want, throw it in their backpack,' she says. For herself, easy weeknight dinners like one-pot turkey meatball and spaghetti are her busy day go-to. 'I really cater to one-pot meals. So you're just dumping everything in a pot and stirring and cooking everything in that one pot … or sheet pan dinners where everything is on the sheet pan. It's all about practicality and trying to make things easier.' Another trick she has for making this time easier is to 'focus on yourself for a minute. Like, especially during back to school days or just back to school season, I always like to wake up earlier than the kids so that I get in a meditation, I get in some breath work, I get in some journaling, just so that I can center myself, and so that I'm not projecting anything onto my kids.' She adds, 'I always like to just kind of reset my nervous system for the day, set some intentions, and then when Mom is centered, then Mom can definitely be present as much as she can for her kids.' Spoken like a true self-care queen! On Her Kids' Self-Care Her kids are just like her in so many ways, including when it comes to self-care. Whether you're a new fan of Mowry's or have loved her since the '90s, you know one thing quickly: she is all about affirmations, and so are her kids. 'I'm just not a gatekeeper. If I can see that there is a benefit to positivity and just putting positive words in your psyche, I wanna do that for my kids as well. Right next to his bed, my son has a frame with affirmations and just goals for the year written out. So every day that he wakes up, he can look at it, and it's, like, implanted in his psyche,' she smiles, also noting that she tries to encourage him while he's at school too. 'If I know that he has a test that he's very nervous about, I'll send him a text, and I'll give him an affirmation that's kid-friendly and funny at the same time.' But Cree isn't the only one who's becoming a self-care master! Mowry revealed her 'amazing' daughter, Cairo, already starts her day by meditating — and isn't shy about setting boundaries. 'She's like, 'Mom, I need some space' in the morning, and then she'll just do a little Zen kind of pose,' Mowry laughs. 'So she's already on it, like, she doesn't even need my help to recenter herself at times. But at night, I will definitely give her affirmations to say. So she'll say, 'I am smart. I am beautiful. I am kind. I am compassionate.' I am a huge believer, and I do see a shift when I apply that to my parenting.' On Parenting & Her Career Mowry has been on our screens, and in our hearts, for decades — starring in projects such as Sister, Sister, The Game, and A Very Merry Beauty Salon, to name a few. But as a mom of two, and a former child star, she has a new way to choose what's right for her. When asked about which projects she decides to take on, she says she's 'very intentional,' and it has to help her maintain her peace. 'Where I am right now in my career, it has to feel good. It can't necessarily take me away from my kids, I don't like to change their dynamic up too much or their routine up too much. Then there has to be some sort of inspiration behind whatever the project is, because I feel like fame without purpose is very dangerous.' 'If it is allowing for inspiration, fun, joy, just alignment, then I'll say yes to it. If it doesn't, I'll say no,' she continues. 'As a child, I was so used to saying yes, I was definitely more of a people pleaser. As I've gotten older, I've realized that it's okay to say no, and saying no is basically self-love. It's protecting your energy, protecting your aura, protecting your legacy.' Among these intentional, carefully-selected projects is a new movie! 'I have a Netflix movie coming out. It's a Christmas movie, [and] I'm so excited,' Mowry reveals. 'And what is interesting is usually I'm always playing the love interest, but this time around, I'm actually playing the nemesis, which is pretty cool! I don't wanna give away too much, but let's just say her heart becomes softened during the holiday season. She's a single mom to a daughter, and I just thought that it was a great script.' Plus, there's her haircare line, 4u by Tia: 'We are constantly evolving and growing, and I'm just having so much fun with that.' She says that while she adores all the projects she's been a part of in her life, motherhood is her 'biggest and I feel like the best role that I will ever have till the day I die.' 'I just love being a mom, and it's my biggest blessing. Actually, some of my friends this morning, they were saying, 'Man, if I had a mom like you, you know?' I really take that seriously,' the Twitches alum adds. 'No matter how old they get, I will always be their mom. And how no matter how old they get, I will always be their mom. And anything that I could do to support them, that's my goal.'More Top Deals from SheKnows Is Walmart+ Worth It? I bought $50 worth of cheap home decor from Amazon Haul. Here's what I'd buy again

As a home editor on a budget, I'm always looking out for furniture and decor that looks more expensive than it actually is. As much as I'm personally interested in scoring deals, I also love sharing these affordable home products with CNN Underscored readers. And there's no doubt that Amazon is one of the most convenient places to find hidden gems that will elevate your space. I've had my eye on Amazon Haul — a marketplace where pretty much everything from tech gadgets to fashion finds costs less than $20 and often is unbranded — ever since it launched less than a year ago, but I was skeptical about the selection of home decor and its quality. To find out what it was really like, I spent hours scrolling through Amazon Haul and ordered $50 worth of decor. Everything I added to my cart was $10 or less, but surprisingly, only a few things proved to be useless junk. Keep reading to discover the cheap home decor finds I'd actually consider purchasing again. Yuxiang Kitchen Plant Mister Spray Bottle I always forget to water my plants, so I figured putting this pretty spray bottle next to my greenery would serve as a stylish reminder. I love the colorful, vintage-inspired design. Even though it costs just $5, the glass felt heavy-duty and the nozzle put out a strong stream of water. Wild Autumn Dried Pampas Grass Pampas grass is classic fall decor. This $10 bundle of dried pampas grass from Amazon Haul was so fluffy (it could easily fill an entire vase or even a few smaller vases), and it had a subtle earthy scent. It's an easy way to add an autumnal touch practically anywhere in your home. It sheds a lot at first, so definitely open it up outside and give the bundle a good shake. Rihvy Rechargeable Wall Lights, 2-Pack I was most excited about these USB-C rechargeable wall sconces. I didn't feel like drilling anything into my walls, so I used the included double-sided tape — it's surprisingly strong — and stuck the lights on both sides of my bed. They have a magnetic head that makes it easy to adjust the angle (plus a remote for changing the brightness and warmth), so they could be used as a reading light or as a spotlight for artwork on the wall. The only downside is that they don't hold a charge very long. But since you can detach them from the wall, it's no big deal to plug them in as needed. Smart Bargain White Lotus Ring Dish I'm a sucker for ring dishes, and I highly recommend any jewelry-wearing person keep several scattered all over their home. Not only are they a safe place to hold rings and earrings when you take them off but they're an easy way to add a decorative touch to places like your dresser, nightstand, and bathroom or kitchen countertops. This one is simple in design (and comes in two colors), but it does its job. Acithgl Bubble Candle, 2-Pack These aren't the kind of candles I'd recommend lighting, though they do have wicks and a floral scent. Instead, I'd style them on a pretty tray and place them on a bookshelf, dresser or media console. At under $4 apiece in some colors, I think these are a pretty good value. I've seen similar candles go for double the price. Heart Origin Direct Faux-Marble Silicone Tray I got this tray in a now-unavailable white marble pattern, but the pink version is just as chic. It definitely can't pass as real marble because it's clearly made from silicone, but that makes it a good addition to a bathroom countertop or vanity because it won't slip and is easy to clean. I plan to place this in my living room to hold my candle tools (like matches and a wick trimmer). Linwus Retro Vinyl Record Coasters, 6-Pack Since I'm also CNN Underscored's gift guide editor, I've always got holiday shopping on the brain. These vinyl-shaped coasters would make such a great stocking stuffer or just-because present for the music lover in your life. They're made of plastic, so the quality is what you'd expect for $3, but surprisingly, this was one of the only items I ordered that came in gift-ready packaging as opposed to a plastic bag or an unmarked cardboard box. What is Amazon Haul? What is Amazon Haul? Amazon Haul launched in November 2024 as a mobile-only shopping experience where everything could be purchased at ridiculously low prices, similar to Shein and Temu. Though the Amazon Haul storefront appears to be available on desktop now too, it's still in beta mode. In my experience, the search function is finicky and descriptions for many products are bare bones. You have to spend at least $25 to get free shipping, which can take up to two weeks (though all my items were delivered much faster than expected). You can even get a slight discount for spending more; I got 5% knocked off because my cart totaled $50. Are Amazon Haul items returnable? Are Amazon Haul items returnable? According to Amazon's return policy, items purchased from Amazon Haul that cost over $3 can be returned within 15 days of delivery, while anything less than $3 is considered final sale. Since some of the items I bought arrived a week earlier than expected, I noticed that the return window was still based on the original delivery date, so I ended up getting more time. (This isn't advertised anywhere, though.) Is Amazon Haul worth it? Is Amazon Haul worth it? Whether shopping on Amazon Haul is worth it or not depends on what you're looking for and how you set your expectations. As long as you don't expect high-quality products at dirt-cheap prices, you have a good chance of avoiding disappointment. In total, I ordered 11 items from Amazon Haul and was satisfied with the quality of seven of them. Some items only slightly missed the mark; the flower vase I ordered was too lightweight for my liking and kept tipping over, while this acrylic jar arrived chipped and required way too much assembly for a $5 product. In many cases, I think you could find similarly priced items on Amazon's regular storefront that come with the retailer's beloved two-day shipping and 30-day return window. However, it's worth mentioning that I saw quite a few items (including some of the decor finds on my list) with identical Amazon Haul and regular Amazon listings, both at the same price. I even found some brand-name items hidden among Amazon Haul's pages, so you never know what you'll come across. You'll probably have trouble finding very specific types of home decor on Amazon Haul, so it's better to have an open mind if you're determined to shop there. CNN Underscored has a team of skilled writers and editors who have many years of experience testing, researching and recommending products, and they ensure each article is carefully edited and products are properly vetted. We talk to top experts when applicable to make certain we are testing each product accurately, recommending only the best products and considering the pros and cons of each item. This story was written by our home and gifts editor Amina Lake Patel, who has seven years of experience writing about products within the home and lifestyle space. She bought $50 worth of home decor on Amazon Haul to see if any of it is actually worth buying.
