For a moment, I froze. But I remembered something my late mother used to say: 'Always remember, child, an honest mistake is still just that. Never let your class of travel define your class of heart.'"
What followed, according to her, was a graceful apology and a compensatory offering of 10,000 frequent flyer miles. 'But what mattered more," she emphasized, 'was the genuine remorse and compassion that followed.
