England qualify for EURO quarter-finals with demolition of Wales
The Lionesses went into their final group game knowing that victory would see them reach the last-eight and they made easy work of a Welsh side that have given their all throughout the tournament.

The game started as an even battle but England were soon given a chance to take the lead when Carrie Jones caught Georgia Stanway in the box. The midfielder stepped up to convert the resulting penalty despite the best efforts of opposition keeper Liv Clark.
England doubled their lead eight minutes later when Wales failed to defend a ball in-behind and Ella Toone fired home at the second attempt.
Kiera Walsh then went close with a shot from the edge of the box before Lauren Hemp headed home from a Toone cross to make it three.
Toone was also involved in England's fourth goal. She played in teammate Alessia Russo for a simple finish from just a few yards out.

It could have been five for England on the stroke of half-time but Lauren James fired over when it looked easier to score.
The Lionesses continued to dominate in the second half and Clark had to be alert to deny both Jess Park and Stanway.
England had to wait until the 72nd minute to finally get their fifth goal. Substitute Beth Mead showed clever feet to beat off a defender before drilling the ball home.
Despite the game being beyond them, Wales never gave up and they netted a brilliant consolation goal 14 minutes from time. Jess Fishlock played in Hannah Cain and she thumped the ball beyond Hannah Hampton and into the net.

England's huge victory was sealed with a goal from Aggie Beever-Jones. She headed home from six yards with a couple of minutes to go.
Tonight's result means that England will face a quarter-final tie against Sweden in Zürich on Thursday.

According to reports, the Merseyside giants have been given the green light to launch a bid for the striker as Luis Diaz's exit is imminent. Liverpool have agreed to sell the Colombia international to Bayern Munich for a fee said to be in the region of £65.5m. The money from the sale is expected to fund a bid for Isak. While the message from the Newcastle hierarchy has been they want to keep their best players, if Liverpool's offer approaches £150m mark and Isak pushes to leave St James' Park then that stance could soften. Regardless of the outcome, Newcastle manager Eddie Howe is well aware his side must strengthen after missing out on a number of key targets - including Ekitike. Speaking after the pre-season defeat to Arsenal on Sunday, he said: 'We're not deluded. We know we need to bring players in. 'We've known that for a long time. We did a lot of work (at the end of last season), we knew what we wanted. 'But it's been a challenging transfer window. Let's see what we can do.'

This doesn't mean that Liverpool won't sign him, merely that given it's a deal of huge magnitude, it's going to take a long time to iron out the details. With Joe Gomez travelling back home from pre-season due to an injury, it has exposed a great need at centre-back for the Reds. Liverpool have already lost Jarell Quansah this summer, and they now have just two senior centre-back on tour in pre-season in Ibrahima Konate and Virgil van Dijk. This has seen Slot play Luca Stephenson, Andy Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas at centre-back. It's becoming very apparent after the four goals conceded against AC Milan that this situation is not tenable going into the season. Liverpool need more depth in the centre-back positions, especially considering Konate and Gomez are both injury prone. This is therefore the obvious next transfer Hughes is going to sort out. And while the first name everyone will gravitate to is Marc Guehi, he might not be the clear choice. In fact, Liverpool may already be targeting someone else in the position, who could be an even better fit.
