Sky Sports: Erik ten Hag now poised to seal Man United reunion after igniting fresh transfer pursuit of ‘leader'
Erik ten Hag is set to reunite with one former Manchester United star as he prepares for his first campaign as Bayer Leverkusen boss. It's safe to say the Dutchman has big boots to fill after being chosen to succeed invincible Bundesliga-winning manager Xabi Alonso this summer, who departed the BayArena for Real Madrid back in May. Ten Hag had been out of work since being relieved of his duties by INEOS in October last year; the board opted to cut ties following a dismal start to the campaign and he left the club 14th-placed in the Premier League, having won only three of their opening nine matches, as well as 21st in the Europa League standings. Erik ten Hag's Leverkusen begin targeting Victor Lindelof (Photo by) Nonetheless, he now faces an entirely new challenge over in Germany. Leverkusen finished runners-up behind Bayern Munich — who were restored to their usual perch atop the table — last season, meaning Ten Hag will have Champions League football to navigate throughout 2025/2026. The side has had to bid farewell to a handful of influential stars, with Florian Wirtz and Jeremie Frimpong making the move to Liverpool, Granit Xhaka signing for Sunderland and Jonathan Tah joining rivals Bayern. To replace the latter, a senior centre-half, Ten Hag has set his sights on a familiar face to bolster his ranks: Victor Lindelof. What next for Lindelof? Lindelof's eight-year stay at Old Trafford came to an end upon the culmination of his contract in June, with United opting against offering him fresh terms and instead allowing him to leave as a free agent. He has yet to make a decision on where he'll ply his trade next, having spent the best part of his senior career with the Reds and Benfica. As confirmed by Sky Sports' Florian Plettenberg this morning, the 31-year-old is now being targeted by Leverkusen for his 'experience' and 'leadership qualities'. Alejandro Garnacho issues bombshell ultimatum to Man Utd as Argentine outcast aims to push through Chelsea transfer
Garnacho tells United to sell him to Chelsea £50m exit fee now on the table Blues confident in his character despite United exile tag Follow GOAL on WhatsApp! 🟢📱 WHAT HAPPENED? It's been a dramatic fall from grace for Garnacho, who was once tipped as one of United's brightest attacking sparks. The decisive blow came in May, when Garnacho, frustrated at starting on the bench in the Europa League final, was bluntly told to find a new club by head coach Ruben Amorim. Since then, the Argentine winger has been plotting his escape and now Chelsea are ready to offer him that lifeline, according to The Daily Mail. THE BIGGER PICTURE The Blues have already agreed on personal terms with Garnacho, leaving the transfer fee as the only remaining hurdle. Chelsea have also brushed aside concerns about his character and temperament and are focused on settling a deal with United. The Red Devils, who initially slapped a hefty £70 million ($94m) valuation on the winger, have now dropped their price tag to £50m ($67m) in an effort to make it happen. Talks between the two clubs have accelerated, with Stamford Bridge bosses keen to wrap things up well before the transfer window closes. TELL ME MORE According to Fabrizio Romano, Garnacho's message to United is brutally straightforward: sanction the transfer to Chelsea or he will sit on the bench at Old Trafford for the next six to twelve months. The Argentina international is prepared to bide his time on the sidelines if it means forcing United's hand. This high-stakes brinkmanship has heaped pressure on the Red Devils hierarchy, who now face the prospect of a talented but disillusioned player wasting away while earning a full wage packet. DID YOU KNOW? Garnacho's record at Manchester United is nothing to sniff at. Since breaking into the senior side, he has made 144 appearances, scoring 26 goals and providing 22 assists. His trophy haul includes the FA Cup last season and the Carabao Cup the year before. WHAT NEXT? At just 21, Garnacho's best years are still ahead of him, and under Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca, he could still flourish into a Premier League superstar. The Blues' push for younger, high-upside talent fits perfectly with this move. And with Garnacho's desire to join crystal clear, the only sticking point is agreeing on a fee that satisfies United.

Al Nasr (Dubai) moves for Olivier Ntcham
Al Nasr has officially submitted an offer for the Cameroonian. Al Nasr (Dubai) moves for Olivier Ntcham Olivier Ntcham, currently under contract with Samsunspor in Turkey, has attracted concrete interest from the Emirati club Al Nasr SC, based in Dubai. The club has already made an initial bid for the Cameroon international. Sources report that Al Nasr SC has officially submitted an offer of €3 million to secure the services of the former Marseille and Celtic midfielder. It's a serious proposal, but one deemed insufficient by the Samsunspor management. The club, promoted to the Turkish Süper Lig in 2023 and based in Samsun, does not want to let go of one of its most experienced midfielders for just any price. Samsunspor is said to be demanding €4 million to open the door to a transfer—a figure seen as reasonable given the player's profile, with his contract running until 2026. Olivier Ntcham brings an impressive pedigree. Having come through Manchester City, he went on to make a name for himself at Celtic Glasgow and then Olympique de Marseille before moving to Turkey in 2023. His versatility in midfield—able to play as a box-to-box or holding midfielder—has caught the eye of many clubs, especially in emerging leagues like the UAE. For Al Nasr, this transfer would be a major coup in the summer market, especially as Gulf clubs look to bolster their squads with experienced talent. The question remains whether the Dubai side will meet the Turkish club's financial demands. As for Olivier Ntcham, he is reportedly open to the idea of a new challenge in a more exotic league, with the prospect of a lucrative contract on the table.
