The Shocking Reason Sami Isn't Getting Involved in Johnny's DAYS Trial

Yahoo15 hours ago
Fans were thrilled when Alison Sweeney recently brought Sami back to Days of Our Lives, twice. The first time was to console Johnny, who learned the horrible story of his conception. The second was when she came back to Salem to pay her final respects to the late John Black. Outside of the soap, and when she wasn't working on a Hallmark film, Sweeney had great fun appearing on LEGO Masters Jr. Now, she's got another return to Salem booked, and she opened up about what Sami's going to be up to.
Sweeney Went Home
Sweeney told TV Line that she had learned a lot about LEGOs when appearing on the fun competition show. But when asked if she'd ever been in a Hallmark Christmas film that involved LEGOs, she remarked, 'You know, I have never heard of one, but that is a great idea.' She also stated that she was working on a few Hallmark films to be released in 2026, noting that she was excited for them to premiere.
The conversation then turned to DAYS and her August 4 return. She revealed, 'I have a few more episodes in this return, and another return coming up in a couple of months. It's always fun to go back to that show.' She stated that she truly loves playing her beloved character, as well as seeing the cast and crew whom she regards as family. 'So it is like going home,' she noted.

Sami Would Make Things Worse
Sami has been noticeably absent from Salem, even though her son, Johnny (Carson Boatman), is on trial for shooting EJ (Dan Feuerriegel). When asked why she has not been included in the story, she remarked, 'I would just cause problems if I got involved in that.' She further added, 'I would make it worse. And everyone agreed. [Laughs] I would just stir up more trouble!'
The conversation changed again, asking about what else she has going on. She explained that she came up with some ideas that she pitched to Hallmark that included other characters she hasn't played yet. She enjoys the challenge of 'finding other ways to tell stories,' and happily remarked that she's going to Spain soon to shoot a couple of films. 'That was so fun and fresh to do,' she happily noted.

Ikea's most Ikea product ever

Ikea is teaming up with a Swedish designer for its latest collection, and the first product being teased is a dedicated plate for Ikea's greatest product: meatballs. The 12-piece Gustaf Westman collection that's launching on September 9th includes a chunky blue serving dish that is shaped to fit exactly 11 of the delicious morsels 'in a celebratory row.' 'I love designing objects for a specific function – it brings a touch of humor and makes them instantly easy to grasp. In Sweden, meatballs mean Christmas, and this plate is my way of honoring that tradition,' says Westman. 'The design is simple, lining up the meatballs so each one is visible, like they're sitting on little thrones. And while it was created with meatballs in mind, it works just as well for many other dishes.' I'm already a big fan of Westman's signature playful style, and I think it pairs beautifully with Ikea's brand aesthetic. Even the five-step instruction manual for this meatball plate is equal parts amusing and charming. I'm going to try (and likely fail) to convince myself that I don't need a dish for displaying meatballs at whatever price tag it gets upon release. Son of VA bowling billionaire wins bid to seal bitter divorce case after wife said he cheated with nanny, dumped her on Christmas Day

The son of a Virginia bowling billionaire embroiled in a bitter divorce worth tens of millions won a bid to seal his divorce case ahead of a courthouse showdown next week with his estranged psychologist wife. Race car-loving scion Peter Goodwin was granted his request by an Albermarle County Circuit Court judge Monday to have the entire divorce case sealed, stretching back to when he first filed to split from wife and mother of his four children Cara Goodwin in January, court records show. 5 Peter Goodwin has won a bid to seal the divorce case he filed against his estranged wife Cara Goodwin. Advertisement The sealing order means that all of the court papers in the case will no longer be publicly accessible, including Cara's accusations that Peter dumped her on Christmas Day 2023 as she held their 4-month-old baby and his papers admitting to having an affair with their former nanny Annette Lombard. The estranged couple, both 40, are slated to face each other in court in Charlottesville on Aug. 27 in a hearing that is currently slated to be open to the public, court records show. 5 Cara accused Peter of having an affair with their former nanny Annette Lombard (pictured). Facebook / Annette Lombard Advertisement Peter, whose dad is uber-successful entrepreneur William Goodwin, proceeded to spend the months after he announcement cavorting with Lombard, 27, and engaging 'in adulterous acts' with her at fancy hotels like the Four Seasons in Surfside, Fla. and at a ski resort in Jackson Hole, Wyo, court papers alleged. Lombard initially began working for the couple around 2019 when she was 21 and an undergrad at the University of Virginia — which William sat on the board of four years after being appointed by former Gov. George Allen and again by ex-Gov. Bob McDonnell. By 2020, Lombard started working at Peter's office and was eventually promoted to vice president of the company, Cara alleged in court papers. 5 A race car-loving Peter is the son of Virginia billionaire William Goodwin. Advertisement One text exchange revealed the extent of hostilities between the separated duo, according to a report by the Daily Mail. 'Did your family find out what really happened and that you were lying to them too?' Cara wrote. 'I offered you $45 million and a lot of custody for years of marriage,' Peter replied. 'You trounce around your palace with 2 housekeepers and nanny and still think I owe you more. You can't even engage in conversation unless it's 100% what you want.' 5 Peter and Cara share four children. Advertisement 'I am far from perfect and have surely made some mistakes,' Peter continued. 'I felt I didn't like the way you treated me or made me feel. People get divorced because of anger and resentment, not for some one-time thrill.' 'You have no idea how to coparent… instead you threaten me about the schedule. Disparage me. Restrict my time with the kids… stomp on my boundaries,' Peter said. 5 Cara accused Peter of breaking up with her on Christmas day 2023 as she held their 4-month-old daughter. Instagram/parentingtranslator William Goodwin had his hand in a slew of businesses including co-owning the AMF Bowling chain and running investment entities CCA Industries and the Riverstone Group — which has interests in everything from Kiawah Island Golf Resort in South Carolina to the tony Jefferson Hotel in Richmond, Va. William has donated tens of millions of dollars to help fund education and cancer research. A rep for Peter declined to comment. Cara's lawyer didn't immediately return a request for comment.
