New York Yankees vs. Minnesota Twins: Carlos Rodón vs. Travis Adams
Rodón has had a bumpy month, with a 4.95 ERA over his last four outings, all of them coming after being named to the AL's All-Star team. He's averaged exactly five innings a start over that stretch, and we saw last night with Will Warren's outing the relief — no pun intended — getting into the sixth inning (let alone the seventh) has on the rest of the pitching staff. Another strong start that sees the bullpen need to get fewer than 12 outs would be welcome, both to conserve some arms and as a sign that Carlos is on one.
Travis Adams has bounced around the Twins' minor league system for a few years before finally getting the call onto the MLB roster in July. He's only made one career start to this point, a five-inning, two-run performance against the Tigers. He's been used as a long man and 'follower' for the Twins, but has been slapped around in many of those appearances. The Yankees are facing another guy they could jump all over, and should.
Austin Wells, the league's worst hitter since July 11th, will be on the bench for the second straight game, and Ben Rice has taken his slot behind the plate. Indeed, the lineup is exactly the same as it was for Monday night's win, and after we got good results, why not run it back?

The new Timothée Chalamet movie trailer is about a sport no one respects
After appearing as music icon Bob Dylan last year, the next project from Academy Award nominee Timothée Chalamet is technically about sports. The 29-year-old actor impressed fans last year by proving his knowledge as a sports fan while appearing on ESPN's College GameDay. He correctly predicted upsets and genuinely seemed like a lot of fun joking around on set. During the exciting postseason run for the New York Knicks, he was also a fixture at Madison Square Garden, even sharing a fun moment with Karl-Anthony Towns. Hopefully, he got a second to pick Towns' brain about what it's like to be a wildly disrespected athlete, because that is exactly what Chalamet will portray in his next film. More: Timothée Chalamet was offered Stephen A. Smith mentorship for an ESPN career The first trailer for the upcoming A24 project Marty Supreme released on Wednesday and it looks wild. Here is what you need to know: "Marty Mauser, a young man with a dream no one respects, goes to hell and back in pursuit of greatness." That dream, it seems, is to become a ping pong star so big that he will appear on the cover of Wheaties boxes. This is the first project from Josh Safdie (Good Time and Uncut Gems) in his solo directorial debut. Chalamet will lead in the first billing but Gwyneth Paltrow, Odessa A'zion, Kevin O'Leary (from Shark Tank), and Tyler, The Creator (as Tyler Okonma) will co-star. Pohlad family says it will keep Minnesota Twins after exploring sale options
The Pohlad family said they intend to keep the Minnesota Twins franchise, a change of heart after previously announcing their intentions to sell the team. This comes after a major fire sale involving many high-profile players. With nine trades, the Twins managed to jettison close to 40% of their team. Foremost among those departures was shortstop Carlos Correa. "Over the past several months, we explored a wide range of potential investment and ownership opportunities. Our focus throughout has been on what's best for the long-term future of the Twins. We have been fully open to all possibilities," Twins Executive Chair Joe Pohlad said Wednesday. "After a detailed and robust process, our family will remain the principal owner of the Minnesota Twins." However, Pohlad said they intend to add "two significant limited partnership groups." The 2025 season has not been a banner one for the club. The Twins are currently on track to log their lowest season attendance on record at Target Field.
