News1817-07-2025
Since Sudhanshu Pandey's departure, the character Vanraj Shah has been missing from the show.
Rupali Ganguly's Anupamaa has seen a dip in its rating over the past few weeks and the creators have been looking to introduce fresh twists in the plot to keep viewers captivated. There were rumours that the makers are planning to bring back one of their most memorable characters, Vanraj Shah. Since Sudhanshu Pandey's departure, the character Vanraj Shah has been missing. It was being speculated that Ronit Roy will take up the role. In the latest, the actor has finally broken his silence and addressed the persistent rumours.
Denying all such rumours, Ronit Roy told TellyChakkar, 'I'm not doing Anupamaa – the news is completely false, and I won't be playing Vanraj." Moreover, a report by Midday quoted a source as saying, 'There haven't been any developments regarding Vanraj on the show. These are just speculations and there isn't anything true about it.' Ronit Roy has also shared with various media portals that he isn't doing the show; the speculations regarding his entry in Anupamaa are completely false."
After a spectacular four-year run, actor Sudhanshu Pandey, who played Vanraj Shah, surprised everyone when he announced his departure from the show last year. Later, following the leap, many actors have left the programme, including Gaurav Khanna, Nidhi Shah and Kunwar Amar Singh.
The show, produced by Rajan Shahi and Deepa Shahi under the umbrella of Director's Kut Productions, has become a fan favourite over the years since its launch on July 13, 2020. Rupali Ganguly, the titular character, leads the charge.
Speaking of the current track on the show, Anu and Raahi will soon square off on the dancing competition stage. Despite being aware of Anu and Raahi's participation in the same competition, Prem chose to keep it a secret from both of them. According to the show's latest promo, the Shahs will finally learn about Anupamaa's whereabouts through this challenge. It will be fascinating to see whether Anupamaa returns to Ahmedabad or remains in Mumbai.

Rekha Once Said She ‘Copied' Amitabh Bachchan Under His Influence: 'When We Started…'

Last Updated: Rekha and Amitabh Bachchan lit up the screen in classics like Silsila and Do Anjaane — but she later revealed just how deeply he shaped her as an actor. Amitabh Bachchan and Rekha's on-screen chemistry is one of the most talked-about dynamics in Bollywood history. Their pairing, especially in Silsila (1981), became a cultural phenomenon — fuelling decades of headlines on their alleged love affair, fan theories and public fascination. While Silsila is often seen as their most iconic film together, Amitabh and Rekha starred in several other Hindi movies that captured their electric screen presence. Some of the most popular Amitabh Bachchan and Rekha films include Muqaddar Ka Sikandar (1978), Mr. Natwarlal (1979), Suhaag (1979), Do Anjaane (1976), and Ram Balram (1980). Their Bollywood pairing defined an era, with audiences drawn to their onscreen chemistry and the mystery that surrounded their off-screen relationship. In a rare interview with Rediff, Rekha spoke about working with Amitabh Bachchan and the lasting impact he had on her performances. While both have largely kept silent about the love affair rumours that even Jaya Bachchan spoke of, Rekha has, on rare occasions, spoken about the deep professional influence Big B had on her as an actor — and one such moment came during an old interview with Rediff. When asked about the common observation that traces of Amitabh Bachchan's style could be seen in some of her own performances, Rekha didn't shy away from the comparison. 'I don't deny that. When a critic pointed out that I had copied him in Madam X, I agreed," she said candidly. Looking back at their early years in the film industry, she explained how working closely with Amitabh Bachchan at that stage inevitably leaves a lasting impact. 'Look, when we started working together, we were at a very impressionable stage," she said. 'Each one left his or her impression on the other." She even recalled how much of a cultural icon Bachchan had become during that era — not just for co-stars, but for the entire public. 'If you saw a crowd in those days from a top angle, you just saw a whole sea of heads with the Amitabh hairstyle," she added. Having acted alongside him in about 10 films early in her career, Rekha said it was natural for some of that influence to show up in her own craft. 'I worked with him in 10 films at an early stage of my career, spanning over so many years. How can I not be influenced?" While rumours of their off-screen love story continued to make the rounds, it never culminated into anything. Amitabh Bachchan is married to Jaya Bachchan and have two children – Abhishek Bachchan and Shweta Bachchan. Rekha was briefly married to industrialist Mukesh Agarwal in 1990, the marriage ended tragically with his death the following year. I was pigeonholed says Lindsay Lohan

Agency: PTI Last Updated: London, Aug 3 (PTI) Hollywood actor Lindsay Lohan says she was typecast earlier in her career and admits she has to fight for the same even now, which she finds frustrating. Lohan was 10 when she made her acting debut with the soap opera 'Another World" in 1996. She got her breakthrough in 1998 with Disney's film 'The Parent Trap". 'Yeah, I do (think I was pigeonholed), the 39-year-old actor told entertainment outlet The Times U K in an interview. Lohan said working on the 2006 musical comedy 'A Prairie Home Companion", changed things for her. 'I was so thrilled to work on 'A Prairie Home Companion' and yet even today I have to fight for stuff that is like that, which is frustrating. Because, well, you know me as this — but you also know I can do that," Lohan said. 'So let me! Give me the chance. I have to break that cycle and open doors to something else, leaving people no choice. And in due time, if Martin Scorsese reaches out, I'm not going to say no," she added. Also known for starring in projects such as 'Freaky Friday", 'Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen", 'The Holiday", and 'Mean Girls", the actor was at the peak of her career when she decided to take a break from the limelight in 2013. It was only in 2022 that she returned to acting with Netflix's romantic comedy 'Falling for Christmas". 'I wanted to take a minute. I was losing that feeling of excitement about doing a film, and I wanted to live my own life for a bit, figure out how to have a more private life, a real life. I wanted to wait to get that itch again," she said, recalling it. Lohan is currently gearing up for the release of her upcoming film 'Freakier Friday", a sequel to her 2003 body-swap comedy 'Freaky Friday". It also features Jamie Lee Curtis, who is reprising her role from the first installment. Directed by Mark Waters, 'Freaky Friday" revolved around the mother-daughter duo (Curtis and Lohan), whose souls get switched after a visit to the mysterious Chinese restaurant. The next morning, both of them find themselves in each other's bodies, and chaos follows. Rounded off by Julia Butters, Sophia Hammons, Manny Jacinto, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Rosalind Chao, Chad Michael Murray, and Mark Harmon, the upcoming installment will pick up the story years later from where it ended. 'Freaky Friday" was based on the 1972 novel from Mary Rodgers. PTI ATR ATR ATR view comments First Published: Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. Trump Spotted Selling Kulfi In Pakistan? The Truth Behind The Viral Video

A kulfi seller from Pakistan who resembles Donald Trump has gone viral for his unique style and look. US President Donald Trump has recently made headlines for claiming that America and Pakistan are working together to develop a 'huge oil reserve." Upset over India's ties with Russia, he even said that the two countries might join forces to sell oil to India. While Trump was making these bold political claims, a different 'Trump" was going viral in Pakistan—this one selling kulfi, not oil. Who Is Pakistan's 'Trump'?
