Here's when LSU baseball plays its first College World Series game
After a sweep of West Virginia in the Super Regional, LSU baseball is on its way to the College World Series. On Monday, the CWS released the schedule for the opening games in Omaha.
LSU will meet Arkansas at 5:00 p.m. CT on Saturday. The game will be broadcast by ESPN.
The Tigers are making their 20th CWS appearance in program history as LSU chases its eighth national title. The last time LSU was in Omaha, LSU won it all with a star-studded roster led by Paul Skenes, Dylan Crews, and Tre Morgan.
Facing Arkansas in Game 1 is a tough draw for LSU, but the Razorbacks could be saying the same thing about the Tigers. Per BetMGM, these two squads rank No. 1 and No. 2 on the national championship odds board. The winner should be in a strong position to make a run at the title.
LSU and Arkansas already met once this year for a three-game series in Baton Rouge. LSU won two of three, with Arkansas winning Game 3 to prevent the sweep.

'Usually when they see it, they have a story behind it, or it reminds them of a time as a child going to a sporting event.' That same postseason energy is being felt at Rally House Arkansas in Little Rock, where assistant store manager Carter Martin said foot traffic has increased significantly. 'Those are all gone — and we've been selling a lot of T-shirts,' Martin said. As fans scramble for the latest gear, businesses are embracing the momentum and hoping the team's run continues. 'It's about building that connection with other Arkansans,' Ritchie said. 'And being able to create a product they can relate to and be proud to wear.' Thomson said slugger Bryce Harper was starting to feel better as he recovers from right wrist inflammation that last Friday landed him on the 10-day injured list. The two-time National League MVP and eight-time All-Star is hitting .258 with nine home runs, 34 RBIs and eight stolen bases in 57 games. He missed five games, from May 26 to June 2, with a bruised right elbow after being hit by a pitch from Atlanta's Spencer Strider.
