'I look 10 years younger and lost 4st without fat jabs thanks to simple change'
A mum has revealed how she turned back the clock by a decade after ditching unhealthy habits and embracing fitness - and now feels incredible showing off her bikini body.
Lyndsey Kelly, 45, from Bolton, used to spend her summers eating greasy takeaways and could 'easily drink a bottle of red' - or even two - over the weekend. But after changing her lifestyle, she's stunned friends and family with her transformation, with people telling her she 'looks 10 years younger.'
'I couldn't walk up a set of stairs without feeling out of breath,' Lyndsey admits. The turning point came when her weight reached 13st 1lb.
That's when the machine operator and content creator, who now has more than 10,500 Instagram followers (@lynds.lifts), decided it was time for a change.
Fast forward, and Lyndsey has lost four stone and is now a self-confessed fitness fanatic. With sculpted muscles from her 'off-season bulk,' she feels healthier and happier than ever and wants to share her journey to inspire other women.
'A lot of women think you'll end up looking like a man if you lift heavy weights,' she says. 'I'm proof that this really isn't true.'
Before her transformation, Lyndsey says she felt decades older than her years. 'I lost nearly four stone after feeling like I was in my 70s - I had no energy to move.
'I loved loading my plate and would enjoy at least one kebab and chips or KFC every week. I could easily drink a bottle of red wine or a few gin and tonics on Fridays and Saturdays.
'I felt ashamed of my health and could barely play with my boy.'
Determined to feel better, she joined the gym and began lifting weights four to five times a week. Now, she says she's never felt stronger:
'Now, I'm a muscle mummy - and I love it. It feels incredible to flaunt my figure in a bikini, but more importantly, I have so much more energy for life.
'I recently did a photo shoot, and it felt amazing to finally be proud of my body. Plus, people say I look years, even a decade younger.'
Lyndsey's tips for losing weight without weight loss drugs
Lyndsey insists staying fit isn't as difficult as it seems.
Her golden rules include:
Sticking to weightlifting for strength and tone
Drinking at least three litres of water every day
Walking 12,000 steps daily
Ditching high-sugar foods and refined carbs

Stacey Solomon hits back as fans call her 'smug' after luxury £1000 a night holiday
Loose Women star Stacey Solomon has hit back at fans who have labelled her as 'smug' after her £1000 a night family holiday with Joe Swash and her five children Stacey Solomon left Pickle Cottage behind to enjoy a much-needed break with her family, soaking up the sunshine and looking incredibly toned, with husband Joe Swash and five children, Zachary, 17, Leighton, 12, Rex, 5, Rose, 3, and Belle, 2. The 35-year-old let her followers in on her latest summer break at the swanky £1,000-per-night Regnum Carya hotel in Turkey. The luxury hotel is one of the top-ranked all-inclusive Resort Hotels located on the Mediterranean coast in Turkey. The lavish villa options give guests the option to plump for luxury villas with private pools, swim-up rooms, family rooms, suite rooms, and more. While in Turkey, Stacey made some rather unexpected friends while on holiday in the form of Molly-Mae and Tommy Fury as she documented her family getaway. It comes after Stacey said she was 'so proud' after unveiling her impressive body transformation in a tiny bikini. However, Stacey's trip has been tainted since returning home after some social media users have slammed her family as 'smug' for going on such a luxurious getaway. Stacey has since clapped back at critics who slammed her recent luxury holiday as a 'freebie'. The TV star triggered a flurry of online backlash after posting sun-soaked photos from a lavish resort in Antalya, calling it her 'second home' in a cheerful Instagram update. Despite this, not everyone was impressed as one commenter wrote: 'So another well subsidised holiday for the entire family. It makes me throw up." Others chimed in with: 'The seriously smug family,' and simply: 'Annoying family.' After returning to the UK, Stacey took to her Instagram stories to firmly shut down the speculation. "Now we're going home I've tagged the hotel for all of you asking and I'll share my little 'spend the day with us' and show you around everywhere,' she said. Clearing things up, she continued: "This is the third time I've come back here. This wasn't a free holiday. I just love this place so much and think it deserves the BEST reviews and tags ever because it's just incredible. "It is very expensive. I do think it is worth every penny and more for what it has to offer," she added. Stacey wasn't the only celeb who chose that location for her family holiday as Molly Mae, Tommy, and their 2-year-old daughter Bambi also headed to Turkey for some sun. The mum-of-five told her followers that she spent the first part of her family holiday with the influencer family and stated that she 'fell in love' with them after bumping into them at dinner one evening. Taking to her Instagram and sharing a sweet selfie with the Maebe founder, Stacey was all smiles as she wrote: 'Got to spend the first part of our holiday with @mollymae, @tommyfury & Bambi. Bumped into them at dinner one night and fell in love.' Stacey continued and revealed that she had even asked the family to visit their home. She added: 'Genuinely the nicest, most down to earth family. And Bambi omg I can't. "Just the most kind hearted little one. Rose was gutted when she left! Can't wait for them to come to Pickle Cottage'. Another picture showed her two older sons posing up a storm next to boxer Tommy Fury. The boys sweetly clenched their hands into fists for the photo as Stacey wrote: 'boys were buzzing'.

Tradwife Has Been Added To The Cambridge Dictionary - But What Does It Mean?
We live in an age where new words are creeping into our lexicon all the time, thanks to the internet and big shifts in popular culture. And there's no better way to see these shifts than what's been added to the Cambridge dictionary each year. For 2025, one of the new words is 'tradwife' (along with Gen Z's fave slang Skibidi and TikTok's delulu). But what does tradwife mean? And who are some popular examples? According to the Cambridge Dictionary, a tradwife is a 'married woman, especially one who posts on social media, who stays at home doing cooking, cleaning, etc. and has children that she takes care of.' Shorthand for 'traditional wife', the term has been around since 2018, but has become more popular after a growing trend on Instagram and TikTok has shown more young women embrace traditional gender roles. Two of the most famous tradwifes on social media are Hannah Neeleman, aka Ballerina Farm, and Nara Smith. Both have amassed cult followings on social media, where they show videos of their daily life cooking, caring for the home, and raising children - all while looking impossibly glamorous and together while they do it. In an interview with Harper's Bazaar last year, Nara addressed her thoughts on being labelled a tradwife, saying she doesn't view herself in that way. 'That's one of the narratives that I have a really hard time wrapping my head around: the tradwife, whatever it is,' she said. 'You don't see me getting on a plane, hopping to New York, modelling, coming back – all while I have a newborn – paying bills, filming content, getting my kids dressed.' In a 2024 interview with The Sunday Times, we had a glimpse into glimpse Neeleman's day-to-day life as a mother of eight on the family's Utah farm. The interview garnered significant interest, because Neelman also spoke about how she didn't associate herself with the term. 'We are traditional in the sense that it's a man and a woman,' she said of her dynamic with her husband, Daniel. 'We have children, but I do feel like we're paving a lot of paths that haven't been paved before. So for me to have the label of a traditional woman,' adding 'I don't know if I identify with that.' The content is both incredibly popular on social media, and also controversial. Caro Claire Burke, a media critic who has been investigating the growth of Trad Wife influencers, previously told Grazia this is down to the way the working women who want children have been failed by society. 'In America [like the UK], our childcare situation is abysmal, there is no support for working families,' Burke says. 'Now there are so many women who are looking at these idealised versions of motherhood – or women to whom mothering isn't immediately associated with financial stress – and it's so addictive to watch because it's something we just can't get right.' She continued: 'These women are homemakers but they're also businesswomen profiting off this performance of homemaking. They're inordinately wealthy... enjoying their lives cooking these beautiful meals and spending time with their children, it's like the one major thing woman can't have – a successful career and be with your children.' Only The Chicest Women Are Wearing This Gingham Jacket - It's Bound To Sell Out
@Instagram/@inesisaias, @nobodyschild There really is no escaping gingham, not even as the weather changes. What began as a somewhat comforting nostalgic memoir to summer terms at school, picnic blankets and Judy Garland's pinafore in The Wizard Of Oz , has now turned into a trend with staying power. This summer, gingham was spotted on, well, everything. From Olivia Rodrigo's archival Ralph Lauren check mini dress, to Uniqlo's sell-out trousers and those boxer shorts, but, rather than disappearing with the last Aperol Spritz of August, gingham looks to be a continuing trend as we head further into autumn/winter 2025. The evidence is everywhere. Take Louis Vuitton's autumn/winter 2025 show, where supersized red and black checks appeared on asymmetric mini dresses, styled with black knee-high socks - a somewhat tongue-in-cheek revival of said schoolyard charm. While designers chose to strip gingham of its naivety, the high street offers noticeably lighter and brighter interpretations, perfect for the upcoming shift in seasons as we enter a cooler September. ©Instagram/@elisaboto, @nobodyschild Nobody's Child, Blue Gingham Swing Jacket The newest jacket to join the Nobody's Child viral hall of fame is its Gingham Swing Jacket. With long sleeves, a preppy collar and button-up front, style the jacket over the top of a knit, or a t-shirt and jeans. It is, however, Nobody's Child I always find myself looking to for standout gingham pieces, and it's the Blue Gingham Swing Jacket that's recently caught my eye, thanks to a flurry of fashion people wearing it at Copenhagen Fashion Week. A style the brand describes as 'the perfect throw-on-and-go layer', its Gingham Swing Jacket features a preppy collar, long sleeves, side pockets and a length that hits just below the hip. If you're on the hunt for ways to style the Nobody's Child gingham jacket, Copenhagen Fashion Week offers inspiration aplenty. Wear yours with clashing prints, like polka dots (which also happen to be a 2025 wardrobe mainstay), or subtle stripes. A simple pair of black capri pants (or pedal pushers) and a white baby tee will also make for an effortlessly cool look. Alternatively, the gingham jacket will work equally as well with a pair of jeans and a neutral knit - whether you're in full maximalist mode or prefer a more pared-back way of dressing, the jacket transitions easily, proving that it's just as relevant in autumn as it was in the summer. ©Instagram/@inesisaias, @nobodyschild Almost like clockwork, each year, Nobody's Child releases another excellent jacket that's made of potential viral material. Last year, it was the Double-Breasted Trench Coat that London's It-girls took a liking to, as it was spotted on both Poppy Delevingne and Anais Gallagher. This year, if Copenhagen Fashion Week is anything to go by (which anyone in the fashion industry will tell you, it absolutely is), then the jacket of the moment will be the Gingham Swing Jacket. It's a design that's not only destined to sell out (and I imagine in record time, too), but it's also one that proves gingham is refusing to hibernate this autumn/winter. Aligne, Nathan Check Quilted Jacket Aligne's gingham jacket offering comes in the form of its Nathan style. Designed with large checks and a goes-with-everything navy colourway, the jacket is a good one for the cooler months as it's thicker than a classic trench. Boden, Knightsbridge Gingham Jacket Boden's take on a collared gingham jacket is equal parts preppy and modern. Featuring retro accents like a back box pleat and sharp collar, style with its matching gingham trousers, or with a mini skirt and knee-high biker boots. Damson Madder, Mercedes Bow Reversible Trench Damson Madder's gingham reversible trench is a style that's previously gone viral - and it's easy to see why. With its multi-pleat detailing, back bow and reversible design, style the gingham way with jeans and ballet flats, or the cream way with a midi skirt and graphic t-shirt. Free People, Chloe Gingham Cotton Jacket Free People's gingham jacket is closer to a quilted jacket than a trench, but that makes it ideal for the cooler weather. With a stand collar and dropped shoulders, pair the laid-back jacket with a pair of baggy trousers and a cap.
