If you thought the Tourbillon was over the top before, just wait until you see the Équipe Pur Sang. It's also got eight exhaust tips. Seriously.
Feast your eyes on the Bugatti Tourbillon Équipe Pur Sang. Nope, you don't need to get your eyes checked—that's eight exhaust pipes stuck to the back of the new Bug. With all those exhaust pipes stuck to the back, you might look at the name "Équipe Pur Sang" and think Equipped for song? We applaud your problem-solving skills, but the French term actually translates to Thoroughbred Team in English. The 8.3-liter V-16 probably (definitely) still sings a glorious tune, though.
So what's the deal with this thoroughbred team? Bugatti says the package "pays emphatic visual testament to the Tourbillon's incomparable performance and Bugatti's motorsport history." What that really means is that it gets a new front splitter, a new rear diffuser, and a new rear wing that improves downforce and uses small endplates for more aero efficiency and improved stability in high-speed corners.
Closer to the pavement, the Équipe Pur Sang package gets a special set of directional wheels that measure 20 inches at the front and 21 inches at the rear. In addition to simply looking rad, Bugatti says the thin spokes reduce turbulence and improve airflow to the rear radiator.
Inside the cabin, the Équipe Pur Sang package adds special embroidery to the dashboard and on the headrests of the performance seats. The special buckets are designed to improve lateral support in high-g corners compared with the standard seats. With a combined 1775 ponies on offer, they'll surely get their use.

The Bugatti Calandre Table Clock created by Jacob & Co., Lalique and Bugatti Three well-known luxury brands joined forces to produce a limited-edition table clock that combines their heritage and artisan knowhow. The Bugatti Calandre Table Clock is the combined creation of luxury watchmaker and jeweler, Jacob & Co., high performance automobile manufacturer, Bugatti, and French luxury glassmaker, Lalique. The research and development as well as the design of this piece took three years alone, the three companies said in a joint statement. The Bugatti Calandre is primarily designed by Jacob & Co., with the luxury brand translating a century of iconic design cues from Bugatti into an intricate timepiece. Lalique crafted the crystal case that helps in translating this tribute to past generations of Bugatti's artistry as well as the visionary future of the iconic automotive brand. Jacob & Co. first references the legendary Bugatti Type 41 Royale with two intricately sculpted Dancing Elephants, serving as an artistic tribute to Rembrandt Bugatti, the renowned sculptor and brother of Ettore Bugatti (1881 – 1947), the founder of Bugatti. In this artistic depiction crafted by Lalique, the elephants are leaning toward each other, a style that defined numerous Lalique clock designs. The name of the product, Calandre (meaning grille), is a nod to Bugatti's French roots and translates Bugatti's iconic horseshoe grille found on its vehicles. The Bugatti brand logo is located on the top part of the grille, in the Bugatti deep red 'macaron' color. In the center of the grille below the clock hands is a vertical flying tourbillon, which references Bugatti's newly released Bugatti Tourbillon hyper sports car. Jacob & Co. has excelled at creating tourbillons over the years. In March, Jacob & Co. released Astronomia Revolution Four-Axis Tourbillon 'Fourth Dimension.' The first watch with four tourbillons. The JCAM58 table clock movement has an eight-day power reserve through the manually wound caliber. The time setting and winding are performed using a special key inserted into the clock's caseback. The process involves meticulous casting, cooling and hand-finishing by expert artisans. The intricate frosted and polished surfaces enhance the depth and dimension of the sculpted elephants, Lalique said. Lalique in the statement said there is common ground among the three partners. René Lalique (1860 – 1945) originally began his career as a jeweler, just like Jacob Arabo, the founder of Jacob & Co. René Lalique later became celebrated as a glassmaker and designer after inventing several innovative manufacturing processes that are still in use today. He manufactured numerous hood ornaments, and clocks. One of the Lalique clock styles was to have two figurines symmetrically leaning towards each other above the dial, framing it with their gracious lines. The company adds that René Lalique and Ettore Bugatti shared numerous traits. They were born outside Alsace; the easternmost region of France and they elected to set up their workshops in the area. Both entrepreneurs had found a special set of skills in Alsace. In addition, René Lalique and Ettore Bugatti were business partners in the Clos Sainte Odile, an exclusive venue established more than a 100 years ago that eventually became La Fourchette des Ducs, a Michelin two-star restaurant. The clock is packaged in a bespoke tan leather trunk, similar Bugatti's luxury interiors. The Bugatti Calandre Table Clock is available in a limited edition of 99 pieces. It retails for $240,000.

Bugatti Boss on Turbocharged Hybrid Supercars: 'I Don't Get It'
While the Chiron was essentially an evolution of the Veyron before it, the Tourbillon represents a radical departure. Molsheim's all-new performance flagship ditches the quad-turbo W-16 engine in favor of a V-16 without forced induction. Cosworth helped develop the naturally aspirated powerhouse, which features an 8.3-liter displacement and an impressively low curb weight. It tips the scales at just 556 pounds, or about 42 percent less than the Chiron's heart. Bugatti and Cosworth engineers achieved the significant weight reduction partly by eliminating the four turbochargers. Mate Rimac told Top Gear magazine he doesn't see the point of using turbos in a hybrid supercar, arguing that the hybrid component compensates for the loss in power while providing the benefits of electrification. In the Tourbillon, there's a large battery with a gross capacity of 24.8 kilowatt-hours, good for 43 miles (70 kilometers) of range without firing up the V-16. Photo by: Bugatti 'I have driven them all and I don't get it, really. Why would you have a hybrid powertrain with a turbo engine? Like, a turbo engine is a compromise on its own, right?' Bugatti Rimac's head honcho revealed that deleting the quad-turbo setup resulted in a 600-horsepower loss. However, the three electric motors compensate, and then some, delivering a combined 800 hp. Factoring in the combustion engine, which produces 1,000 hp on its own, the Tourbillon is more potent than its predecessors and ends up lighter. Aside from dropping the turbos, the weight savings also come from a new suspension that's 45% lighter, thanks to 3D printing. The whole car weighs less than 4,398 pounds (1,995 kilograms) with all fluids and a nearly full tank of gas. While most hybrid supercars are turbocharged, the Lamborghini Revuelto sticks to a naturally aspirated V-12. The LaFerrari also featured a naturally aspirated, electrified twelve-cylinder engine, but the new F80 uses a twin-turbo 3.0-liter V-6. While Porsche hasn't released a follow-up to the 918 Spyder and its naturally aspirated 4.6-liter V-8, the Mission X concept strongly hinted at a purely electric setup. Mate Rimac isn't closing the door on a pure ICE version of the V-16. He's also open to the idea of a downsized hybrid configuration, even a single-motor Tourbillon that skips the pair of front motors to reduce fat further. A roadster is all but confirmed, so there are big plans beyond the 250 coupes planned for production. Meanwhile, deliveries of the 'normal' car will begin next year but not before producing 35 prototypes for testing purposes. Currently, Bugatti is hard at work delivering the remaining Bolide and Mistral units as the last examples of the W-16 breed .
