R&B Star Opens Up About Terrifying, Bloody Medical Episode: 'I Almost Died'
R&B star Tamar Braxton has revealed that she nearly died after experiencing a frightening health episode that resulted in several injuries over the weekend. The Grammy-nominated singer — one of the Braxton sisters — wrote in an update to her Instagram Stories on Tuesday that a friend found her 'in a pool of blood' with a fractured nose, some lost teeth and mobility issues on Sunday. 'I struggled to write this but everyone keeps calling me and honestly, I can't even really talk anymore I'm so weak,' she wrote. She later continued, 'As the days go by the worse it is. ... 💔💔the way I look at life now is totally different. As my health is on the mend my mental journey begins… pray for me for real 💔💔💔💔I don't even know what happened to me 💔💔.' While it's unclear what led to the health scare, Braxton shared a post with the text 'Thank you God for waking me up today' just hours ahead of the update. Braxton has previously been open about her health, telling People magazine in 2021 that she 'chose to change' her life after surviving a suicide attempt the year prior. At the time, her then-boyfriend, David Adefeso, found her unresponsive while she was at her home with her son Logan (whom she shares with former husband Vincent Herbert) back in July 2020. 'That time of my life was so dark and so heavy,' she told the magazine. 'I didn't see how I was going to come out on the other side. I didn't even know that there was another side.' She later continued, 'Most people think, 'Oh, she went to a hotel, probably took a bunch of drugs, was on a binge.' It didn't happen like that. It was just everyday life, trying to figure out how to get through the day and then ...' In December 2022, she revealed that she was taken to the hospital after experiencing flu-like symptoms, noting that she couldn't breathe and her chest was 'on FIRE' at the time. She described the experience as worse than having COVID-19 before advising her followers to 'be careful' during the holidays. Prince William and Kate Think They've Found 'Their Forever Home'
Prince William and Kate Think They've Found 'Their Forever Home' originally appeared on Parade. Prince William and Kate Middleton have made a major move with their family, and now it seems the couple is ready to really put down roots in a new space. The royals 'believe they have found their forever home, a place to build new happy memories' after moving from their current four-bedroom space at Adelaide Cottage, according People. Their family — which includes Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7 — are moving to an eight-bedroom property called Forest Lodge. Forest Lodge sits on the same expansive compound as Adelaide Cottage, a space near Windsor Castle called Windsor Great Park. The parklands are massive and take up a whopping 4,800 acres of land near the famous royal residence. According to the outlet, the family plans to make the move ahead of the Christmas holidays, and see the change of scenery as 'a chance for a new start after the most challenging of periods for the couple' despite the fact that 'they have been happy at Adelaide Cottage, where they and their three children have been able to put down roots.' In fact, William, 43, even went as far as to call 2024 'a brutal year' for his family during an appearance in Cape Town, South Africa last November, which is an obvious nod to Middleton, 43, and her struggle with cancer, as well as King Charles' own cancer diagnosis. 'It's been dreadful. It's probably been the hardest year in my life.' 'Trying to get through everything else and keep everything on track has been really difficult,' the prince explained. 'But I'm so proud of my wife, I'm proud of my father, for handling the things that they have done. But from a personal family point of view, it's been, yeah, it's been brutal.' The initial move to Adelaide Cottage in September 2022 from their previous residence at Kensington Palace in London was a strategic one. 'The couple hoped it would be a good base to see if they liked living in Windsor,' People reports. 'And could make it work as a base as senior members of the royal family, with the duties and commitments they have to balance with their family life.' According to the publication, living in the Windsor compound rather than at the Palace in London — which they still maintain as a home base in the city — has allowed the couple to build a sense of normalcy for their children. It has allowed them to be present for school drop-offs and pick-ups, and they have opted to go without live-in staff since moving to the compound, which obviously creates a real sense of closeness within the family. The outlet also noted that the couple plans to keep living at their new residence when they become king and queen. Ultimately, the royals are happy about this change because 'the new move enables them to not only cement their life in Windsor for the long term, but also to leave some of those unhappy associations behind them.'
