Ford recalls more than a million vehicles for software glitch that makes rearview camera unreliable
WASHINGTON (AP) — Ford is recalling more than a million vehicles due to a software issue that can cause the rearview camera to malfunction, increasing the chance of an accident, government auto regulators said.
The software error, which Ford reported to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration earlier this month, may cause the rearview camera image to delay, freeze or not display when the vehicle is in reverse.
The problem will be fixed by a dealer or via an 'over-the-air' update at a later date. A preliminary letter notifying owners of the safety risk is expected to be mailed June 16, with a second letter to be sent once the update is available, expected sometime in the third quarter of 2025.

Hamilton passed by Leclerc and Hulkenberg in another low point since joining Ferrari
MONTMELO, Spain (AP) — Lewis Hamilton's frustrating debut season with Ferrari hit a new low point during the Spanish Grand Prix on Sunday. A sixth-placed finish wasn't bad, even for a seven-time world champion. But Hamilton again finished behind teammate Charles Leclerc, who was third, and had to endure his team telling him to get out the way for Leclerc. Hamilton was blocking the much faster Leclerc over several early laps until the team order came over the radio. Worse was to come near the end, however, when Nico Hulkenberg overtook Hamilton in his Sauber. Hamilton said his car was unbalanced. Ford Canada issues recall on certain electric F-150 trucks
Ford Canada has issued a national recall notice on certain F-150 Lightning electric trucks over steering wheel control concerns. According to the notice published by Transport Canada and last updated Thursday, 'the nuts for the ball joints that connect the front upper control arms to the steering knuckles may not have been properly tightened. As a result, the upper control arms could separate from the knuckles. If this happens, there could be a loss of steering control,' the recall reads. Affected models include 2023, 2024 and 2025 F-150 trucks, for a total of 11,409 vehicles, nationwide. A loss of steering control could create a risk of a crash, the recall notes. Ford will notify and advise owners via mail to bring their vehicle to a dealership to inspect for loose and/or missing nuts. If any are found, the dealer will replace the steering knuckle(s) and nut(s), according to the notice. Transport Canada says the Thursday notice replaces recall #2024-778, noting that vehicles that were repaired under that recall don't require this repair.
