Lucy Guo, the youngest self-made billionaire, fangirls over Taylor Swift; the techie hopes the singer gets her title back

The youngest self-made billionaire in the world might not be
Taylor Swift
, but she sure is a Swiftie. Lucy Guo, the 30-year-old entrepreneur, has a net worth of $ 1.2 billion, dethroning Swift to achieve the title.
However, the tech mogul is not interested in celebrating; in fact, she wants the singer to take the title back.
Lucy Guo is a Swiftie, and she isn't interested in holding the title...
Lucy 'fangirl' Guo is the co-founder of Space AI, and recently surpassed Swift to become the youngest self-made billionaire. She sold 5% of the stakes of Space AI in 2018, which is currently valued at $25 billion. Despite the dip out, Guo has been standing tall, along with stakes in another startup company, according to TMZ.
Lucy proudly fangirled all over Taylor Swift during 2024 Coachella, where Taylor Swift and
Travis Kelce
made a dazzling appearance at Ice Spice's concert show. The 30-year-old stated that the 'Karma' singer was 'super chill,' and they even bonded over knowing people from Ice Spice's friend circle.
Guo, the girl's girl, stated that she is not hoping to have the crown, as it would only mean that more women are 'killing it in the startup game,' asserting that she is a Swiftie first, and tech mogul second.

While she claimed that she hasn't crossed paths since the news broke out; however, Lucy is adamant that they will soon meet.
Taylor Swift bought her masters...
Recently, Taylor Swift bought all her masters (the original recordings, along with the licensing rights, memories, videos, photos, and more) of her first six albums - 'Taylor Swift,' 'Fearless,' 'Speak Now,' 'Red,' '1989,' and 'Reputation' for around $360 million, according to Billboard.
The infamous great war between the singer and the previous owner,
Scooter Braun
, began when he bought all the rights in 2019 for $300 million from Swift's former record label, Big Machine Records.
Swift started releasing the renewed versions, with the title 'Taylor's version', since 2021, along with the 'vault songs,' which she did not release during the original album launch. The empowering move was celebrated by her fans, who even urged her to release the remaining albums. Except for the debut album and 'Reputation,' the other 4 albums have Taylor's version.

Commercialisation of residential areas concerns residents in Ludhiana West constituency.

Ludhiana: Once considered among the most well-planned and livable parts of this city, the West constituency is now at the centre of growing resident discontent as commercial activity intrudes into its residential streets increasingly. Despite being home to prime localities and benefitting from a substantial share of Smart City projects, residents say the area is losing its peace and character rapidly. The expansion of commercial outlets into residential zones, stray animals, parking shortages, and unchecked encroachment are driving frustration among citizens. "The very reason we chose Sarabha Nagar was for peace," said Rahul Verma, a long-time resident. "Now every street has shops or offices. Instead of stopping this, the authorities concerned are declaring residential roads as commercial zones." His concerns are echoed across other upscale neighbourhoods including BRS Nagar, Kitchlu Nagar, Udham Singh Nagar, Model Town, Model Gram and Club Road. Many of these were originally planned by the Ludhiana Improvement Trust (LIT), which had demarcated residential and commercial areas clearly. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Wrinkles? No. Philips Garment Steamers Book Now Undo Over time, it handed over these localities to the municipal corporation for maintenance — and residents say that is when the balance began to tilt. "There's no difference now," said Kapil Arora of BRS Nagar. "The main road is so busy with commercial activity that I take interior lanes just to reach my own house." A municipal corporation official, speaking on the condition of anonymity, admitted the shift was often initiated by the residents themselves. "People open shops or clinics in homes and then apply to have roads declared commercial," he said. "Several of these proposals are under govt review currently." The rising commercialisation is not only disturbing residents' peace of mind but also undercutting the function and viability of market areas. Locals complain that mixed-use chaos deters customers and contributes to traffic bottlenecks. Adding to the concern is the lack of updated data with the civic body. It conducted the last official survey of commercial violations in 2019, revealing 7,053 violations across 73 town planning schemes — 2,683 of those concentrated in just 60 of those schemes. Since then, it has carried out no fresh survey, leaving citizens frustrated by the absence of regulatory oversight. With more LIT-developed areas now being transferred to civic authorities, residents fear the same pattern will repeat: peaceful neighbourhoods transformed into unregulated commercial zones, with little room left for families or silence. Auto sector seeks government action on China rare earth magnet imports

The automobile industry has sought government support in expediting approvals from the Chinese government for importing rare earth magnets used in various applications, including passenger cars. As per the industry sources, various domestic suppliers have already sought approval from the Chinese government through their local vendors in China. However, no approvals have been granted so far, sources said. China controls over 90 per cent of global processing capacity for the magnets, used across multiple sectors including automobiles, home appliances and clean energy. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Villas For Sale in Dubai Might Surprise You Villas In Dubai | Search Ads Get Rates Undo The Chinese government has put restrictions, with effect from April 4, mandating special export licences for seven rare earth elements and related magnets.

PU's admn block set to get central AC, tender worth Rs 6 crore floated

Chandigarh: Relief may soon be on the way for those braving long queues and paperwork inside Panjab University's administrative block — the campus nerve centre for everything from student forms to faculty files — as the university has floated a tender to make the entire building centrally air-conditioned. The electrical wing of PU has invited bids from specialised agencies for the Rs 6.11 crore project, which will also be funded from the university's development fund. Once awarded, the work is to be completed in six months. Located in Sector 14, the administrative block is home to all major offices, including that of the registrar, finance, and examinations. It's the place where most students eventually land up — whether for getting a certificate stamped, a name corrected, or a fee receipt reissued. The staff, too, spend long hours inside, often with just ceiling fans for company. "Much needed," said one official with a smile, "at least the forms won't sweat anymore." According to the tender notice, the earnest money has been fixed at Rs 12 lakh. The pre-bid meeting was held on April 23, bids were accepted till May 6, and technical bids opened on May 7. While the AC upgrade is limited to the administrative block for now, officials say it is part of a larger push to improve campus infrastructure using internal funds. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Memperdagangkan CFD Emas dengan salah satu spread terendah?
