The Princess Manicure Is Summer's Minimalist Nail Trend
Defined by a short length and a natural, squoval shape, princess nails are directly inspired by the manicures of real-life royals. Think of the late Princess Diana's fabled nude '90s French manicure, Catherine, Princess of Wales's soft nude manicure, and Meghan Markle's elegant Montecito manicure, for example. Not to mention the late Queen Elizabeth's beautiful, signature pink manicure, created using Essie's Ballet Slippers shade.
'Leaning into a soft-glam aesthetic, princess nails are made up of sheer blush pinks, shimmers, and subtle chrome,' shares Class. If you're averse to manicures without a 3D element, a single crystal or barely-there bow will do the job. 'They're pretty and always a little bit delicate—like a modern fairy tale with a manicure.'
Why are princess nails trending?

Princess nails are extremely popular at the moment due to their timeless appeal. 'Muted tones signal confidence. They don't have to shout to make an impact,' says Class, noting that this is likely why it's been so widely adopted by the minimal clean girl movement.
'Plus, they go with everything,' says Class. 'A power suit, vintage denim, a wedding dress,' the options are endless. Princess nails also emanate a feeling of luxury; they look intentional and tasteful, rather than overly simple or boring. Some have said that the return to shorter nail lengths and simple color could be a reflection of the current economic turmoil many of us face. Class agrees with this possibility, sharing that, '[w]hen times feel uncertain, people tend to lean into quiet luxury and small joys.' Princess nails are an affordable indulgence—still beautiful, still expressive, but not loud or flashy. Power in nail form.

Pinterest Partners With Emma Chamberlain For its First Ever Co-Branded Product
This story was originally published on Social Media Today. To receive daily news and insights, subscribe to our free daily Social Media Today newsletter. Pinterest has launched its first-ever product collaboration, with the platform co-branding a new product from Chamberlain Coffee, the coffee company founded by influencer Emma Chamberlain. Pinterest will co-brand a limited edition coffee mix, which will be promoted and sold within the app. As explained by Pinterest: 'The limited-edition 'Sea Salt Toffee Flavored Blend' will be available for purchase on 17 June on Chamberlain Coffee's website in the U.K., United States, Canada, and Europe, as well as via Chamberlain Coffee's Pinterest profile.' And more than just a branding opportunity, Pinterest says that the coffee itself was inspired by Pins: 'A long-time fan of Pinterest, Emma imagined the entire campaign and design on the platform. From exploring flavor profiles to gathering visual inspiration for the launch, each detail was hand-picked to capture the feeling of sipping an iced coffee by the seaside. The Fisherman Aesthetic trend from Pinterest Predicts, our annual emerging trends report, served as a core theme throughout the process.' Indeed, 'Fisherman Aesthetic' was one of 20 rising trends, based on Pin engagement, that Pinterest identified earlier this year. Pinterest says that the collaboration highlights how Pinterest's trend forecasting system can not only predict emerging trends, but also provide valuable insights 'to help brands plan and predict upcoming products.' Which is an interesting point of note. Of course, this is a co-branded product, so Pinterest obviously had some say in the creative angling, and we don't have any insight into relative sales figures as yet. But maybe, if it does turn out to be popular, that could point to Pinterest's trend predictions as a helpful indicator of likely consumer interest. I mean, the influence of Chamberlain is also a factor here, but… Pinterest says that users will be able to learn more about the product, and purchase the coffee, via a new Pinterest board created by Emma Chamberlain. 'The board features inspiration for the blend, behind-the-scenes content from the campaign photoshoot and shoppable Pins driving users to purchase the blend, as well as a limited-edition merch collection.' It's another sign of big brands leaning into influencer marketing, and aligning with high-profile creators to promote their products. A recent report from Statista estimates that the global influencer marketing industry will grow 36% this year, and with YouTubers like MrBeast crossing into mainstream consciousness, it does seem like we're entering a new phase of the creator economy, where web-originated celebrity is on par with film and TV fame. Even the platforms themselves are tapping into this, and it'll be interesting to see if Pinterest looks to further product collabs like this in future. Scarlett Johansson Rocks the Shortest Skirt While Cosigning This Millennial Hair Trend
Scarlett Johansson attended the Jurassic World Rebirth photocall at The Corinthia Hotel in London on June 17. She wore an ultra short Schiaparelli skirt suit along with a millennial side part for the occasion. She was joined by co-stars Mahershala Ali, Jonathan Bailey, and Rupert Friend, and director Gareth Edwards. Scarlett Johansson just made a stylish appearance at the Jurassic World Rebirth photocall at The Corinthia Hotel. The actress, who stars in the film as Zora, was joined on the rooftop of the hotel by her co-stars Mahershala Ali, Jonathan Bailey, and Rupert Friend, along with the film's director Gareth Edwards. Johnasson opted for a chic, fashion-forward look—paired with a somewhat polarizing millennial hairdo. Styled by Kate Young, the actress wore a chic Schiaparelli skirt suit with statement gold buttons, a round collar, and an ultra short hemline. She paired the practically pantsless look with the Le Cercle Floating Illusion Diamond Drop Earrings by Nadine Aysoy Jewellery, a few delicate rings, and a pair of black heels. She rocked a fresh makeup look complete with a deep red lip, courtesy of Hung Vanngo, along with a classic French manicure. As for her hair, stylist Renato Campora went for large, loose curls styled in a deep millennial side part. This isn't the first time that Johansson has played with a pantsless look in recent months—who can forget her bold sheer skirt at the SNL finale last month? She has also been experimenting with new hair styles, too. Earlier this month, Johansson was spotted filming a new project with a curly blonde bob. Speaking to InStyle earlier this year, Johansson opened up about her complicated relationship with fame. 'The thing about being a public figure is that the idea of being recognizable and celebrated feels fun, but then you can never stuff it back in the bottle," she reflected. "The reality of it is, there's a massive loss to that, you know? So I think preserving that for as long as possible until it's someone's choice, that's the choice I make as far as my kids go.' Johansson has two children—she shares her daughter Rose, 10, with ex-husband Romain Dauriac, and her son Cosmo, 3, with husband, Saturday Night Live star Colin Jost. Damson Idris Says Street Driving Is Boring Now That's He's Experienced a Formula One Car
Damson Idris is a serious actor, best known for his work in Snowfall and British films like Farming. But get him talking about cars and racing and Idris can't stop smiling… and he's especially exuberant when he's talking about his experiences making F1, in which he co-stars with Brad Pitt. Apple Original Films | Apple In the big-budget blockbuster, directed by Joseph Kosinski (Top Gun: Maverick), Idris plays an up-and-coming racer Noah Pearce, who is mentored by and clashes with an aging star named Sonny Hayes, played by Brad Pitt. The movie, which opens on June 27 features appearances by top F1 drivers including Lewis Hamilton, Max Verstappen, George Russell, Charles Leclerc, and Carlos Saenz. While those elite drivers lent verisimilitude, Idris and Pitt did their own driving as Idris discussed in a recent video conversation. What drew you to this movie? I've been a fan of Brad my whole career, and Joe's work on Top Gun Maverick made this a no-brainer. But the biggest thing for me was I knew that we were going to be filming at the real Grand Prix races. So it was like a sneaky way for me to get free tickets to every Grand Prix.
