The last attack happened Wednesday night to Ashton Kennedy.
'I was walking down the road walking my dog, and he comes out the woods trying to attack us. He runs at my dog, grabs the leash, I was able to pick him up and then I threw him down, and when I threw him down, he came back and bit me in the leg,' said Kennedy.

The attack put him in the hospital until 2 am. After the coyote bit Kennedy, officers fired a round at it. Atlantic Beach police found the coyote Thursday morning around 11 am under an abandoned car, dead. They confirmed Thursday afternoon that the bullet is what killed it.
Now that the coyote has been removed from the area, mothers like Katie Pacetti and her three-year-old child are feeling safer.
'Just happy to know that the neighborhood is going to be a little bit safe because that was pretty scary,' said Pacetti.

Kevin Dissmore is a wildlife expert.
'Being out in the daytime and walking around the street, shaking its head, abnormal activity, if you see signs like that, you definitely want to contact FWC or the police right away because it's most likely rabid,' said Dissmore.
The coyote will now be tested for rabies. Dissmore says in the meantime, people should be keeping an eye out for other potentially rabid animals in the area.
Officials tell Action News Jax they expect the test results in the next few days.

Clay County teacher accused of trying to meet child for sex; school and church cut ties immediately
A Clay County teacher is in jail Thursday night, accused of trying to meet a child for sex. Deputies arrested 35-year-old Joshua Dice on Wednesday. He was immediately removed from his positions at both Calvary Baptist Church and Calvary Christian Academy in Middleburg. >>> STREAM ACTION NEWS JAX LIVE <<< According to investigators, Dice is facing felony charges for using a computer to solicit a child and traveling to meet a minor for unlawful sexual conduct. Action News Jax spoke with a concerned parent and former Jacksonville Sheriff's Office detective, Mike Padgett, who said the arrest was alarming. 'You send your kids to school and think this will be a safe place for them. Unfortunately, that's not the case anymore,' said Padgett. [DOWNLOAD: Free Action News Jax app for alerts as news breaks] Dice taught at Calvary Christian Academy. Within hours of his arrest, church and school officials announced they had cut all ties with him. In a statement, Pastor Ken Pledger said: We were informed that Mr. Josh Dice was arrested on June 11, 2025, on serious charges. These charges are unrelated to the activities of Calvary Baptist Church or Calvary Christian Academy. We are fully cooperating with law enforcement regarding this matter. Mr. Josh Dice's role at Calvary Baptist Church and his position at Calvary Christian Academy were terminated immediately following his arrest. He no longer has any affiliation with these ministries. Calvary Baptist Church and Calvary Christian Academy maintain a strict policy of zero tolerance for abuse. This is the second teacher from the school arrested in the last three years. In 2022, Caitlin Crum was charged with having a sexual relationship with a 9th-grade student and recording it on the student's phone. Crum is now on sex offender probation. Community members are now demanding accountability from school leadership, asking how another educator could be charged with such a serious crime. This is a developing story. Autopsy report for Duval Co. jail inmate complete amidst ongoing investigation
It's been over 2 months since Duval County jail inmate Charles Faggart died following an incident at the jail. We have learned that the state attorney's office has received a copy of the medical examiner's report; however, right now, they are not releasing it as their office is still investigating. On April 7th, Duval County Jail inmate Charles Faggart was transported to a Jacksonville hospital in critical condition following an incident at the jail. >>> STREAM ACTION NEWS JAX LIVE <<< The next day, JSO Sheriff TK Waters said as a result of the incident, 8 JSO corrections officers and 1 corrections sergeant were removed from their positions and stripped of their corrections authority. On April 10th, Faggart was pronounced dead at the hospital. Since then, Action News Jax has been following up with JSO, the medical examiner's office, and the state attorney's office to see if the investigation is complete. Earlier this week, I asked JSO if its portion of the investigation is complete. A spokesperson replied: 'The case continues to be active, and we await follow-up from the SAO in their portion of the investigation.' [DOWNLOAD: Free Action News Jax app for alerts as news breaks] 'Normally, once it is referred over to the state attorney's office, it's probably a pretty safe assumption that the police have concluded their side of the investigation. Usually that's how it goes,' said Chris Carson, a defense attorney. Chris Carson is a defense attorney in Jacksonville. I asked him what he thought would happen with the state attorney's investigation. 'My sense is that we're probably waiting on what I would expect are some of the more experienced prosecutors within the state attorney's office and probably some of the higher ups to actually review what has been provided to them and ultimately make a decision on whether there should be formalized criminal charges going towards anyone who was involved in the incident,' said Carson. [SIGN UP: Action News Jax Daily Headlines Newsletter] Nine corrections officers were removed from the jail a day after Faggart was taken to the hospital. Last month, Sheriff T.K. Waters told us that doesn't mean anyone was guilty of a crime. 'It was to say that we need to investigate this process,' said Sheriff Waters. 'We need to investigate it fully and make sure that we provide the public and that young man's family with the right answers.' There has been no word on when the State Attorney's office investigation will be completed. We reached out to the attorney representing the Faggart family, but she declined to comment., Click here to download the free Action News Jax news and weather apps, click here to download the Action News Jax Now app for your smart TV and click here to stream Action News Jax live.

Exotic car dealership suddenly no longer in service, clients seek answers
If you're driving down Beach Boulevard on Jacksonville's Southside, you'll pass Karma Automotive Dealership. Karma opened in Jacksonville in 2022. According to Sun Biz, it is owned by Vladimir 'Val' Ranguelov, who also owns Bul Auto Sales in Albany, New York. If you visit either of the dealerships' websites, a message pops up that reads: 'We regret to inform you we have ceased operations.' Read: Law Enforcement preparing for 'No Kings' protests across Northeast Florida this weekend Local television station, WNYT in Albany, contacted Action News Jax when it found out police there are investigating the dealership for potential fraud. Customers there claimed bank loans related to cars were never paid off. Shawn Branlund was a technician at Karma Jacksonville. On May 30th, He says he reached out to the owner after hearing of potential problems at the Albany location. 'He said to just come in on Monday, and we would talk about it, kind of explain what's going on,' Branlund said. 'On my end, I did come in on Monday to hopefully talk to the owner, Val, who never showed up, never got a hold of him. We ended up getting all our equipment out, just our personal belongings.' I spoke to a customer of Karma Jacksonville who told me he contacted JSO on June 5th because his car was missing from the dealership. Action News Jax obtained this video from that day that shows JSO and tow trucks taking the cars off the lot. Shawn says he never would have expected this from Val. 'He paid everyone really well, he was always taking us out on his boat, and taking us out to dinner. He's just a super nice guy, like, and definitely never saw this coming,' said Branlund. >>> STREAM ACTION NEWS JAX LIVE <<< We reached out to JSO late this afternoon to get the report from the day they responded to the dealership, but we have not received the report yet. We reached out to the FBI in Jacksonville to find out if it had any active investigations in Karma Jacksonville. A spokesperson for the FBI Jacksonville says, 'The FBI does not confirm nor deny the existence or status of any investigation.'
