Drunk passenger forces emergency landing
David Leroy Carter, a 46-year-old Los Angeles resident, was taken into custody by Colorado police on Wednesday afternoon after he 'became agitated' four hours into his flight out of Norfolk, Virginia, according to NBC Los Angeles.
The man was on-board US budget airline, Breeze Airways.
The Grand Junction Police Department said airline staff had placed the 'intoxicated' passenger in restraints twice during the flight, but 'he managed to break free both times' during his profanity-laced tirade.
Breeze Flight MX704 was diverted to Grand Junction Airport in Colorado, according to FlightAware.
Upon landing, Carter was arrested and booked into the Mesa County Detention Facility.
'This is an ongoing investigation and any further information and charges will be released by the Federal Bureau of Investigation,' the department wrote in a statement.
Startling footage of the midair chaos posted to TikTok shows a flight attendant appearing to try to restrain Carter with plastic zip-ties, only for him to push past and stand face-to-face with the worker.
'That's the last thing you're going to do to me,' he's heard telling the flight attendant.
'Stop! You need to sit down!' she demanded while Carter smirked and replied, 'No, ma'am.'
The flight attendant asked other passengers and workers to help her 'get control' of the situation and help restrain Carter.
Seconds later, a large man in a white T-shirt walks over to Carter, towering over him.
The flyer picks up Carter under the arms with ease, carries him like a child through the plane's aisle and plants him down in his seat.
'Sit your ass down,' the good Samaritan scolds.
Police reported no injuries during the midair bedlam, but Breeze Airways told NBC Los Angeles that 'one flight attendant and one guest were evaluated for minor injuries'.
'Our focus now is on taking care of our Crew and remaining Guests who have been unfairly inconvenienced by this unfortunate event and getting them safely to their final destination as quickly as possible,' the airline said.
The FBI said charges will be submitted to the US Attorney's Office for Colorado, but did not share what charges Carter is facing.
The Post has reached out to the FBI and Breeze Airways for comment.

Kohberger cowardly refused to reveal his plans or motives when he unexpectedly admitted the slayings. The Barnharts' forensics company, Cellebrite, was tasked with going through Kohberger's phone and laptop for any evidence connecting him to the murder of the four roommates knifed in their beds at their off-campus home in 2022. Kohberger had tried to wipe the search history from his devices — even running a data-erasing software on his laptop three days after the killings — but he was not thorough enough, the experts said. While there was no record of the search history, the terms were still found his autofill data on his search engines, Heather said. 'He did his best to leave zero digital footprint. He did not want a digital forensic trail available at all,' she told the Mail. The Cellebrite team also discovered a PDF file about another serial killer and rapist, Danny Rolling — also known as the 'Gainesville Ripper' — whose horrific murders targeting University of Florida students decades ago is eerily similar to Kohberger's heinous crimes. Rolling, who was the inspiration for the slasher classic 'Scream,' murdered five UF students — four women and one man — after breaking into their homes during a four-day spree in 1990. He raped all his female victims, and killed two of them with a Ka-Bar knife — the same weapon Kohberger used, prosecutors said. Rolling was executed in 2006. Kohberger's cell phone additionally contained creepy selfies of the killer posing shirtless and flexing his muscles, the experts said. He also snapped the chilling selfie of himself giving the thumbs-up just hours after he murdered the four University of Idaho students. Heather, Senior Director of Forensic Research at Cellebrite, and Jared Barnhart, Head of CX Strategy and Advocacy at the company, were prepared to testify as expert witnesses at Kohberger's trial before he pleaded guilty last month. Kohberger was sentenced to four life sentences for killing roommates Kaylee Goncalves, Madison Mogen, Xana Kernodle and Ethan Chapin.

Kohberger, 30, is rumoured to wash his hands dozens of times a day, likely leaving them red and irritated, the New York Post reports. In another short clip, the murderer, who was hit with four life sentences in the slayings of four University of Idaho students, is seen standing ominously in the middle of his lockup, slowly cleaning his shoes. While it remains unclear when the videos were taken, it appears that someone used their phone to record the surveillance footage on a TV screen inside the Idaho Maximum Security Institution in Kuna. 'While we cannot yet confirm the veracity of the videos, if verified, they are a clear violation of IDOC policy and the parties responsible will be held accountable, up to and including termination. Sean Kingston sentenced to 3.5 years in prison after fraud scheme conviction
Sean Kingston has been sentenced to three and a half years in federal prison for his role in a $1 million fraud scheme. On Friday, before US Judge David Leibowitz handed down Kingston's sentence in a South Florida courtroom, the rapper, 35, apologised and claimed he had learned from his actions, according to the Associated Press, per Page Six. However, Leibowitz denied Kingston's attorney's request to self-surrender at a later date due to health issues, instead ordering the musician to be taken into custody immediately. Kingston, who was wearing a black suit and white shirt, removed his jacket to be handcuffed and was escorted out of the courtroom. In March, Kingston — born Kisean Paul Anderson — and his mother, Janice Eleanor Turner, were each found guilty of one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and four counts of wire fraud. Turner, 63, was sentenced last month to five years in prison, which is far less than the maximum 20 years she and her son were each facing. Immediately after being convicted, Kingston — who was allowed to await sentencing at home, while his mum was deemed a flight risk and taken into custody right away — teared up as he asked the US Marshals to 'protect' her. Prosecutors accused the mother-son duo of having 'unjustly enriched themselves by falsely representing that they had executed bank wire or other monetary payment transfers as payment for vehicles, jewellery and other goods purchased by the defendants' without actually having sent any funds. During the trial, Turner admitted to handling her son's finances irresponsibly. She also confessed to creating fake wire transfers. Kingston was arrested in California in May 2024 after a SWAT team raided his Fort Lauderdale, Florida, home; Turner was arrested during the raid.
